Who gets reborn with a daughter?

Chapter 57 The Insecure and Dull-witted Senior

Fang Chusheng.

Yu Qiuli waved to Fang Chusheng as soon as he saw him.

Fang Chusheng stepped forward and asked, "Teacher Yu, what are you doing here?"

"You're my student, so it's perfectly normal for me to pick you up, right? Get in the car."

Yu Qiuli said as she climbed into the driver's seat.

"Teacher Yu, you're too kind."

Despite his words, Fang Chusheng's actions were anything but polite.

After getting into the car and sitting down, he noticed a blind spot and asked, "Teacher Yu, has this passenger seat been switched? Has another man sat in it?"

Yu Qiuli's lips twitched, and he stepped on the gas and drove off. "Meimei rode in here a couple of days ago."

"Teacher Yu, you have a younger sister?"

Fang Chusheng didn't know Yu Qiuli in his previous life, only that Yu Qiuli had been pursued by his silly roommate.

"If you think so, then so be it," Yu Qiuli smiled brightly and continued, "Meimei said you have a good foundation in programming. Have you ever had a tutor before?"

"Oh...you're not talking about 'Meimei' as in 'Dumb Senior', are you?"

Fang Chusheng suddenly thought of Jia Meimei.

"Dumb Senior Sister?"

This was the first time Yu Qiuli had heard someone call Jia Meimei that.

"Or call her 'Dumb Dumb Senior'? That's way too dumb."

Fang Chusheng looked at Yu Qiuli in the rearview mirror.

"Hehe..." Yu Qiuli chuckled, "Don't change the subject. Have you ever had a private tutor before?"

"No, my family is poor and can't afford to hire anyone. I learned everything on my own at internet cafes."

Fang Chusheng said shamelessly.

"Oh? Would you be interested in participating in the CCPC?"

Yu Qiuli didn't care whether what Fang Chusheng said was true or false.

CCPC stands for the China Collegiate Programming Contest, and it consists of one coach and three team members.

Yu Qiuli led a team, which currently has only two students and one spot remaining.

Fang Chusheng knew he wasn't cut out for it, so he shook his head and refused, "Forget about the CCPC, I'd only be a hindrance. I'd rather give this opportunity to Senior Sister Daidai."

"She was like that before."

Yu Qiuli said helplessly.

"Before? And now?"

Fang Chusheng asked.

"Yesterday she told me she wasn't cut out for programming and recommended you to me."

Yu Qiuli drove with one hand, while using the other hand to lift the hair that was hanging down her cheek.

"Is that so?"

Fang Chusheng never expected that he was considered so talented by his senior, Daidai. However, he was really a fool. Even with his memories of his past life, he couldn't compare to those geniuses.

"If you're interested, let me know as soon as possible."

Yu Qiuli didn't force it; programming requires both talent and hard work.

Of course, this excludes exceptionally gifted geniuses.

"I'll think about it."

Fang Chusheng said casually.

He had classes on Friday mornings, and by the time he arrived at school it was already noon, so he didn't have to attend classes.

Speaking of which, after today's classes, the freshmen will face two weeks of military training starting on the 15th.

Fang Chusheng glanced at his left hand; the cut from the glass hadn't healed yet. Perhaps he could use this wound to make military training easier.

After lunch, he went to the library to find Senior Sister Daidai.

Jia Meimei is a junior in college. She doesn't have many classes, so she can spend most of her time building websites.

Through their efforts over the past few days, their forum websites have been initially completed.

Jia Meimei's website has a beautiful UI; both the buttons and the mouse cursor look similar to other websites on the market.

Fang Chusheng's website UI is relatively abstract, with a pixelated style. At first glance, it looks like a product of the 80s or 90s, but it becomes quite interesting after looking at it for a while.

"Junior, your website has a pretty unique style..."

Jia Meimei couldn't help but complain.

"My website may look strange, but it's actually quite useful..."

Fang Chusheng paused deliberately.

"It's not strange at all?"

"No, it feels really strange to use."

"?"

Jia Meimei's brain went blank, and she picked up the mouse to test various functions.

Sure enough, just as Fang Chusheng had said, the website gave her a very strange feeling when she tried to use it.

The main issue is that she's not a hardcore anime fan and doesn't play games much, so it will take her time to accept this style.

If it were people from an anime club, they wouldn't find this pixelated website so jarring.

"Junior, I feel like your website will have a very small audience."

Jia Meimei expressed her thoughts.

"Senior, you can switch styles in the upper right corner."

Fang Chusheng then said.

Jia Meimei saw a pixelated nut icon in the upper right corner. She initially thought it was a sticker, but it turned out to be a button.

Once opened, it offers three styles: minimalist, pixel art, and anime.

Jia Meimei switches between two other styles: the minimalist style is simple and suitable for older people, while the anime style is beautiful and appealing to young people who enjoy anime and manga.

She hadn't expected Fang Chusheng to create three different styles, and couldn't help but ask, "Did you make all of these yourself?"

"Otherwise what? Wasn't I right next to you the whole time I was doing it, senior?"

Fang Chusheng shrugged.

"All right……"

Jia Meimei looked at the source code, intending to ask Fang Chusheng what some of the code meant, but found that most of it had comments.

This was intentional on Fang Chusheng's part. He certainly wouldn't do the maintenance of this website himself; he needed to make sure that others could understand it.

"By the way, senior, regarding the website's operation, Teacher Yu is letting us handle it ourselves, right?"

Fang Chusheng then asked.

In his view, the military training period was a good opportunity to promote the website.

"Of course, Teacher Yu is only responsible for the technical aspects and server rental; we have to handle everything else ourselves."

Jia Meimei nodded.

Did you receive a link to Senior Yu's website?

Fang Chusheng thought of Yu Jiarong, whom he hadn't seen for several days.

"Not yet. I'll go see her today, and then I'll show the website to Teacher Yu so she can decide which one to use."

Jia Meimei pushed up her red-rimmed glasses.

"Okay, senior, I'll leave the communication with Teacher Yu to you."

Fang Chusheng did not object.

"Okay, that's all for today. I'll contact you if I hear anything."

Jia Meimei forced a smile.

"Okay, senior, goodbye then."

Fang Chusheng closed his notebook and left.

"Is this what talent is?"

Jia Meimei murmured softly as she watched Fang Chusheng's departing figure.

She thought her website was already very good, but she didn't expect that a freshman's website was even more perfect than hers.

Fang Chusheng had no idea what Daidai was thinking. If he had known, he would have definitely comforted her, saying, "You're the best."

After leaving the library, he didn't go back to his dormitory, but instead called Tang Cheng from the neighboring University of Electronic Science and Technology.

Tang Cheng had no classes this afternoon, and since he had nothing else to do, he decided to meet with Fang Chusheng.

The two met at Fred Square at 4 p.m.

Since it wasn't lunchtime yet, Fang Chusheng suggested going to a nearby Starbucks for a coffee.

Tang Cheng had never been to Starbucks before, and his roommate had told him that things there were expensive, so he said, "Starbucks is pretty pricey, how about we go to the bubble tea shop next door?"

Which milk tea shop?

Fang Chusheng squinted and asked.
