The Wizard: Starting with Infinite Part-Time Jobs

Chapter 35 Dimensional Forms, Armed with Knowledge

Looking at the garden in front of me, which was three times larger than the garden in the outer living area, colorful flowers were blooming in profusion.

Butterflies fluttered among the flowers, and Aiden was very pleased.

He opened his arms and took a deep breath.

However, compared to the youthful faces of the prospective wizard apprentices in the outer living area, the formal wizard apprentices in the inner living area mostly looked mature beyond their years, and there was an extra layer of wariness and vigilance between them.

They walked hurriedly, their eyes scanning their surroundings warily.

"The plants, animals, and daily necessities I had in the outer living area were all brought over by the animal messengers." Aiden sat in the house and began to take stock, taking out the items one by one and placing them on the table as he spoke.

Aiden didn't forget to bring his meditation chair over. He lifted the chair with both hands and walked into the room with some difficulty.

He just needs to accumulate more magic stones to completely dismantle the meditation chair and unlock the carpenter's assistant profession.

As he thought about this, his heart was filled with anticipation.

Aiden decided that on the second day, he would attend a course called General Knowledge of the Wizarding World, just like the other newly promoted formal wizarding apprentices.

He went to bed early to rest and recharge.

……

On the platform, a short, elderly man with a monocle over his left eye and his face covered in fine, ancient tattoos smiled at the newly recruited formal wizarding apprentices below and said, "Students, I am your general education teacher. You can call me Mr. Wojkin. I am a senior wizarding apprentice."

"Congratulations in advance, everyone. You've all done a great job and obtained your tickets to the Wizarding World," Mr. Wojn said with a smile.

"For the next 20 years, you will all be eligible to travel to the Wizarding World on a wizard ship. As long as you are ready, you can sign up with me."

With his brown hair and simple clothes, Aiden sat upright in his seat, his hands on his knees, a serious expression on his face.

Looking at Mr. Vol'jin, who looked like an old scholar, Aiden thought to himself helplessly, "Mr. Vol'jin's classes are really expensive. It cost me 10 magic stones to register. Since entering this inner living area, money has been flowing out like water."

He shook his head as he thought about it.

On Aiden's table, there was a wooden wand about the size of two palms, lying quietly on the table, emitting a faint woody scent.

Everyone except him had one on their desk; it was a free gift after enrolling in the course.

Mr. Wojnarowski continued, "I'd like to first explain the current world classifications to you. Each plane, based on the different limits of life forms, is divided into four levels from lowest to highest: subdimensional worlds, low-dimensional worlds, mid-dimensional worlds, and high-dimensional worlds. The continent of Aurelia, where we are, is the lowest form of a subdimensional world."

"The limit of life forms in the subdimensional world is a formal wizard, that is, a first-ring wizard."

"The life limit in low-dimensional worlds is a third-circle wizard, in mid-dimensional worlds it's a sixth-circle wizard, and in high-dimensional worlds it's a ninth-circle wizard."

After Mr. Woking finished speaking, he put his hands behind his back and paced back and forth on the podium.

As soon as he finished speaking, the people below the stage looked at each other in bewilderment.

Someone couldn't help but say, "Mr. Vol'jin, doesn't that mean that if just one first-ring wizard arrives, he can sweep across the entire continent of Aurelia? I can't imagine how powerful the wizarding world must be as a higher-dimensional world."

"You could say that," Mr. Woking said with a smile and a confident expression.

"The origin of the wizarding world also comes from a lower-dimensional world." Mr. Wojnir paused, tapping his fingers lightly on the table, and continued, "Tens of thousands of years ago, the founder of the wizarding world, the sage Gandalf, put forward a truth—the best defense is a good offense—which laid the foundation for the future direction of the wizarding world."

"The wizard civilization has since continuously improved its offensive capabilities, conquering spellcaster civilizations including mage civilizations, sorcerer civilizations, and spellcaster civilizations, until it reached its current pinnacle as a spellcaster civilization."

"There are six known higher-dimensional worlds. Besides the spellcaster civilization—the Wizarding World, there is the ordered civilization—the Skynet World, the disordered civilization—the Chaotic World, the void civilization—the Nightmare World, the faith civilization—the Three Thousand Divine Kingdoms, and the sword-wielding civilization—the Immortal World."

Aiden's eyes widened, his mouth opened, and he nodded repeatedly, memorizing every word.

Mr. Woking cleared his throat, placed his hands on the table, leaned forward, and continued, "You could say that the magic a wizard possesses is his second life. Powerful magic is the barrier that has allowed the wizarding world to thrive to this day."

"After tens of thousands of years of refinement, a wizard's magic consists of four main elements: wand, spellcasting medium, spell, and knowledge."

The air in the room seemed to freeze, with only Mr. Woking's voice echoing.

After saying that, Mr. Woking waved his hands in the air and pulled out a bright red wand sparking with fire. The sparks on the wand crackled and popped as if they were cheering.

Aiden's eyes widened, he leaned forward, and gripped the armrests of the chair tightly with both hands.

He had wanted to see the wizard's methods for a long time.

Then, Mr. Woking pulled a jar from his robes, a transparent bottle containing a liquid that looked somewhat like magma.

The moment this jar appeared, the temperature in the entire room rose considerably, and the surrounding air was distorted and warped by the heat.

"This is the Crimson Star Wand, which can be used to cast fire-attribute spells. This jar contains spell-casting coal, and this jar contains low-quality lava, both of which are fire-attribute. I will demonstrate to you how a spell is formed using the most basic method."

With that, Mr. Wojnarowski poured the lava into the groove at the bottom of the Crimson Star Wand.

As the lava was poured in, the light emanating from the Crimson Star Wand noticeably increased, illuminating Mr. Wojnarowski's serious face.

"This is the first step in casting the spell, which we call infusing energy," Mr. Woking added.

Aiden thought to himself, "Isn't this just like loading a bullet? The wand is the gun, and the spellcasting medium is the bullet."

A thoughtful expression appeared on his face.

Then Mr. Wojnarowski began chanting incantations, explaining to the people below, "I am now chanting the most basic witchcraft incantation, the spell for a fireball."

His lips moved rapidly, and his voice grew louder and louder.

As he continued to mutter to himself, a fireball the size of a fist appeared at the tip of the Crimson Star Wand and gradually condensed.

The flames on the fireball burned fiercely, making the classroom even hotter, and the surrounding desks and chairs sizzled from the heat.

He then flicked his wand, and the fireball flew straight past the window and struck the iron target in the open space.

The target ignited and melted instantly, molten iron splashing everywhere and sparks flying on the ground.

Aiden sat stiffly in the chair, thinking, "If that fireball hit me, I'd be instantly killed."

Looking at the molten iron on the open ground, Mr. Woking stood up, put his hands behind his back, and continued, "This whole process took me nearly 10 seconds. In actual combat, that's far too slow. So I'll demonstrate an improved version for you, which involves the fourth element—knowledge-based weaponry."

As he spoke, Mr. Woking poured the remaining molten salt from the Red Star Wand back into it, and the light on the wand gradually dimmed, returning it to its original state.

"Please continue watching, everyone." Mr. Woking waved his hands in the air again, his eyes focused.

Mr. Wojnarowski still held the Red Star Wand in his hand and began chanting a spell. The lava on the table seemed to come alive and began to churn violently, making a "gurgling" sound.

The amazing thing is...

The lava flowed into his wand as if it were alive, continuously penetrating from a distance.

A fireball identical to the previous one condensed and shot onto a new iron target, instantly melting it.

Aiden muttered to himself, "It took a total of 6 seconds. This time, the step of pouring the casting medium was omitted, and the medium was directly controlled to drill into the wand."

Mr. Wojnarowski smiled, his wrinkles smoothing out, and said, "This time it took less time because I used additional knowledge to guide the spellcasting medium directly into my wand, optimizing the tedious energy-gathering process."

"This knowledge-based weapon, called Groin's Guiding Technique, was invented 30,000 years ago by a wizard scholar named Groin who devoted his life to improving the complicated energy infusion process and pioneering the science of magical energy infusion."

Aiden nodded, resting his chin on his hands, as if he had gained some insights.

Mr. Woking continued, "Then are there any other forms?"

After saying that, he continued to repeat the previous steps, emptying the Red Star Wand, and the sparks on the wand gradually went out.

The people in the audience stared intently with curious eyes, sitting up straight.

Mr. Woking continued to hold up his wand and chant incantations.

Miniature fireballs, shrunk several times in size, appeared at the tip of the wand, shooting one after another towards the new target like fireflies. The miniature fireballs struck the target until it was flattened.

Aiden froze, his mouth agape, thinking, "Damn, the cannon's turned into an AK."
