The Wizard: Starting with Infinite Part-Time Jobs

Chapter 43 Playing Such Tricks, Poison Master Methods

Bondi continued, "I can't beat that poisonous woman. I'm completely poisoned like this. I must kill her."

His hand was writing hard on the paper, tearing it.

Looking at the words on the envelope, Aiden couldn't help but swallow hard, his throat bobbing up and down.

"What is all this about?" Aiden thought to himself, his mind a complete mess.

"What do you mean Galatea is going to be slept with by Vera?"

He knew beforehand that the two had made a bet.

But this was a girl's matter, and he didn't want to pry.

I never expected things to turn out this way.

Could this be a bet?

As Aiden pondered this, he hurriedly left his cabin with Bondi.

Before leaving, he made sure to pack his wand and bow and arrows into his backpack.

……

The inner living area, Galatea's cottage.

The cottage was surrounded by a low wooden fence covered with green vines, and occasionally a few unidentified wildflowers could be seen among them.

In the garden outside the cottage, pink flowers are neatly arranged, and the petals tremble gently in the breeze, as if they are waving softly.

Looking at the neatly arranged pink flowers in the garden outside the cabin, Aiden smiled and thought to himself, "I didn't expect Galatea to have such a girlish charm."

In his mind, Galatea was already regarded as a wise man.

After all, she usually wore academic gowns, which she always wore properly, making her look very dignified.

To be cautious, Aiden frowned and slowly activated his bio-radar.

Inside the room, two orbs of light were indeed locked in a fierce struggle.

One ball of light was pressed down by another ball of light, struggling incessantly. At the point where the two balls of light collided, there seemed to be a faint glimmer of light.

"Where is this?" Aiden frowned even more and opened his mouth to ask.

He was a little reluctant to go in.

What if Galatea and Vera are really doing something unspeakable? Wouldn't it be very awkward if they went in?

As he thought about it, he unconsciously took a small step back.

"Hurry up, come inside with me." Bondi had recovered somewhat, but her face was still a little pale, and she could barely speak.

He pushed hard with both hands and opened the door.

The door slammed against the wall with a loud bang.

Inside Galatea's house, Vera was riding on Galatea's back.

Both of their clothes were in a disheveled state; Vera's collar was askew, and Galatea's skirt was wrinkled.

Both of them revealed a lot of their fair skin, which made Bondi and Aiden, who had just entered, look embarrassed.

Bondi's eyes widened and his mouth gaped open, while Aiden scratched his head awkwardly.

"Well, I think I should go first," Aiden said awkwardly, scratching his head as he turned around, preparing to pull Bondi away.

Just then, Galatea's cries for help came from behind.

She screamed at the top of her lungs, "Aidan, come save me!"

"Galatiana, you lost the bet, you're mine now." Vera said with a smug smile.

"A bet? What bet?" Aiden looked at Bondi with a puzzled expression, his eyes full of doubt.

Bondi cleared his throat and explained, "Galádia and that poisonous woman Vera had a bet to see who could learn the occult better. They just took a written test, and Galádia lost on a quirky topic. So, as a 'reward' for her failure, Galádia has to listen to Vera for one night, doing whatever she wants."

"Holy crap, they're playing that fancy game," Aiden thought to himself, but he couldn't possibly say it aloud.

If Galatea hadn't asked him for help, he would have pretended not to know anything and the next day would have continued as usual.

But Galatea has asked him for help, and as a good friend, he can't ignore her.

Aiden turned his head back and said, "Ms. Vera, you should know that forced relationships don't work."

"I respect and understand your desire to gain Galatea's favor, but please don't use such forceful methods."

"Get out of here, you two stinking men." Vera raised an eyebrow, her face turning fierce, and said, "Especially Bondi, I think you probably haven't learned your lesson yet."

After saying that, she took out the desert scorpion that she had been showing off earlier from her robe. The desert scorpion kept wriggling in her hand and making a "hissing" sound.

She placed it on the ground, and the desert scorpion ran at an incredible speed to Aiden and Bondi.

It held its large claw high on its tail, waving it in the air, ready to pounce on Bondi.

Upon seeing this, Bondi turned pale with fright, his body trembled uncontrollably, and he nearly jumped onto Aiden.

He grabbed Aiden's arms tightly with both hands and screamed, "Aidan, save me!"

For some reason, he always felt that Aiden could now solve many things that he couldn't.

So after encountering Vera, that poisonous woman, he immediately went to find Aiden.

Aiden shook his head, staring intently at the desert scorpion in front of Bondi, crouching down and supporting himself with his hands on the ground.

I started mentally flipping through the "Encyclopedia of Continental Biology" and found out about the living habits of the desert scorpion.

Aiden pressed his body tightly against the ground, his gaze fixed on the desert scorpion.

Even when the giant claw behind him was already pressed against Aiden's nose, he remained calm and motionless.

"Aiden, you're crazy, get out of here!" Bondi shouted from the side, his voice trembling with tears.

Galatea and Vera, who were inside the house, were also stunned. Galatea's mouth was slightly open, while Vera frowned.

They didn't expect that Aiden would not only not run away, but would also put his face close to the desert scorpion.

One second, two seconds, three seconds. Aiden counted down in his mind.

Aiden exuded a unique aura of a black market beastmaster, making the surrounding air seem heavy.

The desert scorpion quickly wilted.

Its large claws, which it had been holding high, drooped down, and its body lay on the ground, trembling incessantly.

It lay down in front of Aiden's nose, looking like it was willing to submit, its two dark eyes lowered, and it would occasionally rub its head against the ground.

"How...how is this possible?" Vera, who was in the room, was the first to react. Her eyes widened, her mouth gaped open, and she exclaimed in disbelief.

Aiden slowly shook his head, a faint smile on his lips, and said, "Nothing is impossible. Your connection with it is very weak; I think it won't be difficult to break through."

After saying that, he used his hands to support himself on the ground and slowly got up.

He dusted himself off, smiled, pointed at Bondi at the desert scorpion on the ground, and said, "This is my friend. You can't sting him, understand?"

The desert scorpion's two small eyes darted around, and it nodded as if it understood, a gesture that was clearly seen by the four formal wizard apprentices on the field.

Apart from Aiden, the other three were shocked, their pupils dilated and their mouths agape.

They never expected that Galatea's poisonous insects would become Aiden's lackeys in just a few dozen seconds.

Aiden also gained new insights into his black market beast fighting skills. While flexing his wrists, he muttered to himself, "I should have no problem dealing with medium to large-sized beasts now, and dealing with these insect-like creatures is even simpler and more brutal."

"You've successfully angered me, you commoner brat." Just then, Vera, who was inside the house, scrambled to her feet from Galatea's body.

She didn't bother to smooth out her exposed thighs; her hair was disheveled, and her face was full of anger.

She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, pulled out a weapon that looked like a flute, put it to her lips, and began to blow hard.

The weapon made a "whooshing" sound as she blew on it, and the surrounding air seemed to tremble along with it.

Bondi, standing nearby, widened his eyes and shouted a warning, "Aiden, be careful, this is a drug dealer's trick!"

As he spoke, he subconsciously took two steps back, adopting a defensive posture.
