Chapter 59 Emerald Home, Original Manuscript
Aiden continued, "The Natural School has been declining in recent years. In terms of combat strength, it is no match for the Arcane School and the Bloodline School. But one school has high requirements for basic mental strength, and the other will make you neither human nor ghost. I can't accept that."
"Let's tentatively settle on Emerald Home for now. Emerald Home specializes in wood and water-based meditation and witchcraft," Aiden decided, tilting his head back.
"After all, I know absolutely nothing about choosing from thousands of wizarding organizations," Aiden said, scratching his head with a helpless expression.
But Aiden knew.
He needs a stable environment, one that doesn't involve daily fighting or where the organization's members are constantly scheming and backstabbing.
He needs time to develop.
Moreover, his wizarding talent was not particularly good. His initial mental strength was extremely low.
Although he now has the special talent of having a basic mana pocket to make up for it, he is still far from being a true genius!
For example, Galatea has high initial mental strength and two special talents.
Soon, all three had chosen their respective wizarding organizations. Bondi selected a wizarding organization under the Central Arcane School, but he hadn't decided which one yet.
Galatea chose a wizarding organization under the School of Souls.
Aiden's primary target was the Emerald Home, where Ms. Ollie lived.
Bondi, somewhat puzzled, frowned and opened his mouth, asking, "Aiden, is there anything special about this Emerald Home? How did you identify the wizarding organization so quickly?"
"Because Ms. Ollie is there, and she specifically asked me to take her. I'll get better treatment if I go in." Aiden smiled and showed her the acceptance letter Ms. Ollie had given him earlier.
"Wow!" Galatea and Bondi gasped, their eyes wide and mouths agape.
"You got accepted in the early admission round," Bondi said, patting Aiden on the shoulder with an envious look on his face.
Galatea nodded silently.
Through this period of time and her additional understanding of Aiden, she knew that this mysterious man had been working hard behind the scenes all along.
Soon, the three of them had a meal together. After they had eaten and drunk their fill, they parted ways, their figures gradually disappearing into the night.
……
Two weeks later, one night, a strong wind howled outside the window, making the window rattle loudly.
Aiden sat with his eyes closed, resting, while waiting for Fluttershy to return from poisoning Mr. Ironbeard's laboratory.
Soon, Little Butterfly fluttered her wings and flew back, still carrying a chill with her.
Xiaodie said, "Dad, there's a very special little door here."
Aiden looked puzzled, placed his hands on the table, and asked, "Small door? What's a small door?"
"It's a small door, a small door hidden in a corner," Little Butterfly said weakly, her wings trembling.
"Then open this door." Aiden was silent for a moment, his brows furrowed, before he spoke.
"Little Butterfly's intelligence is really like a child's," Aiden thought to himself with a smile, a smile playing on his lips.
"Dad, I need time to crack it," Xiaodie said weakly.
"Then be careful."
He watched as Xiaodie entered the light array, which shimmered with a strange light, enveloping Xiaodie's figure within it.
It wasn't until two hours later that Xiaodie returned.
Its wings were flapping very slowly, and it looked extremely tired.
Then, Xiaodie pulled a parchment scroll out of her spatial pocket out of thin air. The movement was a little difficult, and the parchment scroll swayed in the air before landing on the table.
"Great!"
Aiden quickly stood up, walked briskly to Little Butterfly's side, gently stroked Little Butterfly's head to comfort her, and then eagerly opened the parchment scroll.
As he read, a look of surprise gradually appeared on his face, and his mouth opened wider and wider.
Finally, unable to control his expression, he grinned and burst into laughter, the sound echoing throughout the room.
"Holy crap, this thing is the initial manuscript, which is a small part of Mr. Ironbeard's experimental results!" Aiden excitedly waved his arms and shouted.
The manuscript clearly describes the methods and proportions for extracting biological materials, such as the number of distillations and the components of the experimental reagents added.
The final result is an enhanced version of the biological lure, which can greatly increase the creatures' favorability and lower their guard.
Aiden didn't know the extent of the biological trap's effect, but it was certainly effective at least at the biological level of wizards below the first ring.
Even his little butterfly really likes the smell of this biological attractant.
"Little Butterfly, Little Butterfly, do you have any other manuscripts?" Aiden leaned forward, his face showing urgency as he asked impatiently.
"There are still many more." Xiaodie's voice was so weak it was like a mosquito's buzz. As she spoke, her small body trembled, and she took out many manuscripts from her spatial pocket. The manuscripts fell onto the table like snowflakes, piling up into a small mountain.
Aiden quickly glanced through the manuscript, his fingers rustling as he flipped through the pages. "All these manuscripts together make up a complete biological trap. However, there are some new manuscripts, which seem to be optimizing the original, and there are also various points that raise questions."
Aiden thought about it carefully, his brows furrowing before relaxing, and he said seriously, "It seems that the biological trap is complete, but Mr. Ironbeard is not satisfied and is still conducting experiments, probably hoping to make a name for himself."
Aiden smiled and said, "It's just a pity that your achievements are now mine!"
He then stroked his chin and continued, "Xiaodie, put these things back exactly as they were, don't alert them. It would be terrible if they found out."
Aiden paused, licked his lips, and said, "I have to take it the day before the wizard ship arrives, then he won't be able to do anything to me. Mr. Ironbeard will be furious if he loses the initial manuscript."
"Okay, Daddy," Little Butterfly replied weakly, slowing down the frequency of its wing flapping as it regained its strength.
Then it darted back into the small light array. The light array flickered a few times, and Little Butterfly's figure disappeared. It put all the stolen parchment scrolls back and then returned.
"You've really worked hard, Little Butterfly." Aiden said with a gentle smile, reaching out to touch its antennae.
"He won't notice if you put it back, will he?" Aiden sat up straight, his expression serious, and instructed.
"No. Once I've opened that little door, I can keep it open forever," Xiaodie said weakly, her head bowed and antennae drooping.
Aiden smiled and said, "That's good, that's good."
His laughter echoed through the room.
These days, Mr. Tesh has hired another assistant.
This assistant wasn't as arrogant as before; each time, she would just hurry over to borrow biological materials from Ms. Ollie's lab.
Aiden was very cooperative.
Perhaps Mr. Ironbeard was already overwhelmed by Aiden's poisoning and was completely dejected.
