Chapter 43 Forging to the Fourth Tier! (First of three chapters today! Please continue reading!)

The Blackwater Valley's soldiers still number fifty, but unlike before, these fifty men have now become full-time soldiers instead of part-time militiamen.

With forging as a cash cow, Li Wei expects Blackwater Valley's annual fiscal revenue to increase many times over this year, easily earning four or five hundred gold coins.

This year, with his forging skills advancing to the fourth tier and his forging efficiency further improved, Li Wei is confident that he can help his territory's fiscal revenue break through the 1,000 gold coin mark, an income that many baronial territories in the north cannot achieve.

Suddenly, from behind him, in the shadow of the candlelight, a figure dressed in a black robe and wearing a black hood appeared. He was a "broker" within the Deathbird's Voice organization, responsible for delivering messages and intelligence.

"The Phantom Knight who attempted to assassinate Baron Levi has been missing for almost half a year, but according to intelligence from our spies in Blackwater Valley, Baron Levi is not dead. This means that the Phantom Knight is most likely dead, or has abandoned the assassination attempt for some reason and lost contact."

"Now that our VIP client has questioned our organization's professional capabilities, Lord [Pale Shadow] has decided that you will continue the mission that the Phantom Knight failed to complete, in order to restore our organization's reputation. Considering that this time we need a seasoned silver-ranked assassin like you, the VIP client has increased the commission amount to three hundred gold coins."

"This is a deposit of one hundred gold coins. Lord Pale Shadow has high hopes for you. You must be careful and cautious in this operation to ensure success."

The nobleman, who was enjoying his meal, took the bag of one hundred gold coins from the broker, shook it gently, and made a pleasant metallic clinking sound.

"Where is this Baron Levy now?" he asked softly.

"He's in Icewind City. According to our scouts, he's wearing a white wolf mask, so he should be relatively easy to find," the broker said.

"I understand. Wait for my message." The middle-aged nobleman waved his hand, and the broker disappeared into the darkness.

The middle-aged man carefully placed the hundred gold coins he had just received into an iron box in his home and locked it away. Inside were more than three thousand gold coins, which were his savings over the past few decades.

He straightened his clothes in front of the bronze mirror, picked up his sword, and blew out the candles in the room.
