The entertainment industry: My 99 future timelines!

After returning to the house.

Li Xu made a phone call to Jing Tian and Liu Yifei and told them the truth.

Tell them that the road comedy they were originally planning to film can't be filmed for the time being; they need to do something bigger because they've received a mission from above.

Upon hearing this, Liu Yifei didn't say anything; she has always been a sensible person.

But Jing Tian couldn't help but mutter, "Is Han Sanpin trying to make Li Xu the assault team leader? And those uncles up there too, they always like to put pressure on those below them."

"Could it be that they also feel Zhang Yimou, Chen Kaige, and Feng Xiaogang are unreliable, and are still pinning their hopes on you?"

"Cough... It's a battle flag, Tian Tian, don't say it like that."

"Didn't Spider-Man in those Hollywood blockbusters say, 'With great power comes great responsibility'?"

"I think this saying could be changed to 'With great responsibility comes great reward' in China."

"Since the leaders above want me to lead the charge, I will definitely receive all sorts of benefits, whether it's getting the film approved, getting more screenings, receiving public support, or other preferential policies. There will be a whole bunch of advantages."

Hearing Li Xu's words, Jing Tian was persuaded and immediately nodded, saying, "Alright, that's the only way. Compared to the benefits we can get, whether or not we make a road comedy is not important."

-

Two days later.

At Jing Tian's villa.

Li Xu sat on the living room sofa, casually flipping through a few old newspapers from a few days ago:

"Two Berlin Film Festival Best Actress winners return home; director Li Xu was mobbed at the airport!"

"Exclusive analysis of 'Soulmate': July and Ansheng are you and me."

A recap of Liu Yifei and Jing Tian's red carpet looks: the twin beauties stunned Berlin!

"A Deep Dive into Director Li Xu's Career: From 'Love Announcement' to 'Soulmate,' What Did He Do Right?"

Silently flipping through the pages, Li Xu didn't pay much attention to the praise in the newspapers.

He saw these news articles the day after he returned to China; he was just browsing them out of boredom.

"Hey, Li Xu, how long have you been here? What are you looking at?"

A few minutes later.

As the sound of slippers stomping on the ground came from not far away, a clear voice rang out.

Li Xu looked up and saw Liu Yifei and Jing Tian coming down hand in hand.

A doctor with gray hair wearing a white coat followed behind.

"Mr. Luo, how is Yifei's cervical spine?"

Upon seeing the old doctor, Li Xu did not rush to answer Jing Tian's question, but instead asked the old doctor a question first.

"The strain has been there for years, and it's quite severe."

"However, I am confident in this regard. I just finished acupuncture for Ms. Liu, and after a few more sessions over the next period of time, she should see some improvement."

"As for the rest, it can only be done by Ms. Liu's daily adjustments, consistent care, and avoiding overworking her neck."

Upon hearing Li Xu's inquiry, the renowned senior doctor, a leading figure in cervical spine issues in China whom Jing Tian had invited, spoke in a very gentle and polite tone.

He didn't care about Li Xu.

But one must pay attention to Jing Tian, or rather, the real Lord Jing of Chang'an behind Jing Tian.

Seeing this, Jing Tian suddenly snorted and pretended to be angry: "Li Xu, it seems that I am indeed not as important as Sister Yifei in your heart."

"I asked you a question earlier, but you didn't answer. All you did was bring up Sister Yifei's matter. I don't think my villa will be able to welcome you later."

Upon hearing this, Liu Yifei couldn't help but reach out and gently pinch Jing Tian's fair cheek, laughing, "You, you just love doing these childish things."

Li Xu also laughed out loud, "I was just looking at those old newspapers on your desk. I didn't expect you to have this hobby, Tian Tian."

"Hmph, I love reading news that praises me, especially the kind that's genuinely praising me."

"Li Xu, when you make your new movie, remember to film me and Sister Yifei looking beautiful and outstanding, otherwise I'll settle all the old scores and new grudges at the same time."

Jing Tian deliberately spoke with a stern face.

But as she said this, the next second, her expression instantly faltered, and she grinned and said:

"By the way, Li Xu, have you decided on your next movie? What kind of genre do you want to make?"

"comedy."

"A commercial comedy, the kind you two have never made before."

Li Xu responded.

"what?"

"But wouldn't acting in comedy damage my image? Like Stephen Chow, if I had to play Sister Ru Hua, I wouldn't do it."

Upon hearing this, Jing Tian immediately became worried and instinctively began to try to decline.

"It's okay, Tian Tian. The more you haven't tried it, the more you should try it."

"When we won the award in Berlin, we didn't think about it, did we?"

Hearing Jing Tian's concerns, before Li Xu could speak, Liu Yifei spoke up.

After Jing Tian hired a private doctor, Liu Yifei's attitude towards Jing Tian underwent a subtle change compared to before.

If their relationship was like that of friends or besties before, Liu Yifei now treats Jing Tian more like a younger sister.

Li Xu also spoke gently: "It won't be Sister Ru Hua. Although it's a comedy, I'm going to shoot a commercial film. It definitely won't damage your image. It will only broaden your acting career."

"Alright, let's all work together and try to win another major film award!"

Hearing Liu Yifei and Li Xu's words, Jing Tian's worries disappeared, and she immediately became confident, her words becoming lively again.

2 month 27 number.

Two days before its official release, "Soulmate" held its premiere.

The film premiered at the China World Trade Center Grand Theatre in Beijing.

Led by China Film Group, and co-organized by Huayi Brothers Media, Bona Film Group, and Enlight Media, it was a very large-scale event.

The traditional practice for premieres is to hold them 2-5 days before the official release date.

The more confident you are, the less time you will have.

For example, popular Hollywood superhero movies usually have their theatrical releases held one to two days before the theatrical release.

Its core purpose is to increase the film's popularity and attract audiences to buy tickets by leveraging celebrity endorsements, media exposure, and trailer releases.

A premiere is a film promotion event that not only shows the film itself, but also usually includes interactions with celebrities.

However, this also means that tickets for the premiere are generally unavailable to the general public.

Limited to specific groups, such as media, film critics, and a small number of celebrity fans (excluding scalpers).

This is especially true for big-name movies.

Because of the high regard for Li Xu, the premiere of the film "Soulmate" was arranged by China Film Group to resemble a large-scale ceremony.

A red carpet that is a full 100 meters long.

The red carpet was packed with media reporters, all with their cameras and microphones set up.

When Li Xu, dressed in a black suit, stepped out of the car, a flurry of flashes erupted from both sides of the car.

He squinted slightly and stretched both hands into the car at the same time.

Inside the car, Liu Yifei and Jing Tian got out one after the other.

Today, Liu Yifei wore a light blue strapless dress, her long hair was styled in an updo, and she also wore matching high heels. Her temperament was gentle as water, yet cool as moonlight.

Jing Tian, on the other hand, wore a burgundy velvet slip dress today, with her hair styled in a temporary curl, casually draped over her shoulders, her bright red lips, and her fiery temperament like a midnight rose.

The two of them, one on each side, took Li Xu's arm and then posed for the media.

In an instant, countless camera shutters clicked, and shouts from the media reporters rang out simultaneously.

"Liu Yifei! Look here!"

"Jing Tian! To the right!"

"Director Li! What's it like to have two award-winning actresses arm in arm with you at the same time? It seems like very few people in the film industry receive this kind of treatment!"

Li Xu simply smiled slightly, his expression reserved.

He didn't answer the reporters' questions, but instead led two stunning actresses with completely opposite personalities to his left and right as they slowly walked down the red carpet.

The red carpet, which is only 100 meters long, was crowded with media.

In addition, some die-hard fans came up to ask for autographs, so it took Li Xu and his two companions a full five minutes to walk through the area.

Once inside, the warm air finally enveloped us, and the feeling of being unable to move around was completely relieved.

The interior of the premiere.

The atmosphere was lively, and the various programs, speeches, and sharing of feelings were all quite complicated.

After all these procedures were finally completed, the lights dimmed, the screen lit up, and the movie "Soulmate" officially began playing, whiling away two whole hours.

Li Xu was a little tired, so he took Jing Tian and Liu Yifei to sit in the first row and started watching the movie.

Although he had watched the film countless times during the editing process and also watched the final cut multiple times.

Every shot and every line is etched into my mind.

But at this moment, facing the domestic premiere of his film, he still took it very seriously.

Jing Tian and Liu Yifei shared the same mindset as Li Xu.

They both won Best Actress awards for this movie, and they are watching it very intently right now.

in the cinema.

Those viewers didn't share the mindset of Li Xu and his two companions.

But as the movie's plot unfolded, they were quickly drawn into the story.

The audience's emotions shifted along with the changing relationship between July and An Sheng on the big screen, unconsciously fluctuating between joy and sorrow.

When the bathroom scene came on, many viewers were so engrossed in the scene that tears began to well up in their eyes.

Inside the theater, there were even faint sobs.

The movie lasted for over an hour, until the very last scene.

On the big screen, Liu Yifei, playing An Sheng, types the last line on her computer: "July knows that from that moment on, she is free." She then gives final words of advice to July's daughter, Yin Yin. The film finally ends.

In the theater, as the lights came on, the audience erupted in thunderous applause, with some even shouting "Bravo!"

Li Xu stood up, turned around and bowed to the audience, as did Liu Yifei and Jing Tian.

At the same time, film critics began writing their reviews of the film.

Two days after the premiere.

On March 1st, "Soulmate" was officially released, and the average screening rate on the first day in many domestic cinemas was close to 50%.

And this will happen.

Li Xu has finally written the first draft of the outline for his next film project.

Title: Extreme Job

Genre: Crime/Comedy

Core Summary:

The anti-drug squad is facing disbandment due to poor performance. In order to monitor the drug dealers' den across the street, the captain takes over the struggling fried chicken shop next door.

Unexpectedly, the undercover operation yielded no results, but the fried chicken shop became an unexpected hit throughout the city due to its delicious taste.

Caught between "keeping their jobs" and "catching drug dealers," the five-person bumbling team creates a series of hilarious situations, ultimately solving a major case by accident.

Main characters:

- Captain Gao (male, 40 years old): The candidate has not yet been determined.

- Liu Qingqing (female, 23 years old): A capable and efficient policewoman, skilled in martial arts but a terrible cook. — Liu Yifei

- Lin Xiaoyue (female, 22 years old): A tech-savvy policewoman who appears naive but is actually a logical genius - Jing Tian.

Old Wang (male, 45 years old): A seasoned veteran in the police force, a master of coasting along – a veteran actor could be considered for a cameo role.

- Dazhuang (male, 30 years old): The fighter, simple-minded and physically strong - to be determined

Fried chicken brand – Trying to invite Wallace, high-priced GG to join?

Looking at this completed first draft of the outline.

Li Xu was deep in thought.

Unconsciously, a wild and imaginative idea suddenly popped into his mind.

His gaze swept over the Wallace fried chicken brand on the last line, and he couldn't help but mutter to himself, "It seems there's no need for this guy to get a bargain from Wallace?"

"Currently, Wallace is still the dominant brand of hamburgers and fried chicken in China."

"But in the future, didn't that Chinese burger chain rise rapidly by leveraging traditional Chinese culture, quickly expanding to over 10,000 stores and reaching a total valuation of tens of billions of RMB?"

"Why shouldn't I seize this opportunity to gamble on my own movie? If the Chinese-style burger is too avant-garde, then I can just use Korean fried chicken... After 2013, this thing became an instant nationwide sensation thanks to 'My Love from the Star'."

"Moreover, this drama directly made Kim Soo-hyun, a South Korean actor who was not particularly well-known before, famous all over Asia. Now this drama hasn't even been released yet...tsk, what an opportunity."

Li Xu's mind raced with thoughts as he began to plan.

-

evening.

Li Xu revised the initial draft of the script outline for his new film, "Extreme Job," and then sent it to Shen Ao.

Soon, Shen'ao called.

As soon as the phone rang, Shen Ao's rough voice came through teasingly: "Director Li, I didn't expect you to have the story outline for your new movie so quickly?"

"It seems that the recent allure of two beautiful women hasn't corrupted your ambition."

"Stop talking nonsense and let's get down to business. What did you think of the movie?"

Li Xu was already used to Shen Ao's nonchalant remarks, so he immediately interrupted and asked.

"I think it's good."

"The movie you named Extreme Job has a very interesting core: a clever mix of elements including crime, food, and workplace comedy."

"But I have a question: why does it have to be fried chicken? Do you really like this stuff? Why can't it be a dish from our country?"

Shen Ao's words were interrupted, but he didn't mind. He just kept praising the script as interesting while wondering what was going on.

"You'll understand this in the future."

"Although the food in our country is good, it doesn't achieve another effect I want, and that effect is very important."

Li Xu certainly wouldn't tell Shen Ao right away about his wild idea of creating a fried chicken brand.

It's not that I don't believe it, but this whole thing does sound a bit absurd.

If Li Xu didn't have memories of the future...

In his vague memory, after "My Love from the Star" aired, as the drama became a hit across Asia, all sorts of Korean fried chicken restaurants and other fried chicken brands sprang up like mushrooms after rain in China, but he couldn't bring himself to have such a thought.
