One-Punch Man: Boros, the Universe Overlord
Chapter 12: Meteor Landing Kick
"No! Now is the real beginning!"
Boros roared deafeningly, his fists clenching so tightly that the raging energy could no longer be contained. It instantly transformed into a visible shockwave, sweeping outwards in a ring, vaporizing the sand and gravel within a hundred meters radius. Crimson lightning crackled and exploded wildly around him like a raging python.
Immediately afterwards, its jet-black body suddenly burst forth with dazzling light, its brightness even surpassing that of the blazing sun in the sky, instantly completing an astonishing transformation—its skin turned from black to white, and its entire body became dazzlingly radiant.
With Boros's roar, he transformed into a white comet piercing the heavens and earth, and a gigantic fist carrying destructive power slammed into Saitama's face, much to Saitama's surprise. Even before the fist arrived, the terrifying heat and pressure caused the surrounding space to distort wildly, as if even light would be crushed by this punch.
Faced with this devastating blow that seemed to reset the world, Saitama's eyes, which were usually half-closed and exuded a sense of laziness and boredom, finally opened wide, his pupils reflecting the rapidly approaching "white comet."
"Wow!"
"boom--!!!"
The earth-shattering sonic boom, like the tolling of a doomsday bell, instantly shattered the deathly silence of the desert. Saitama's figure was sent flying straight backward by the immense force, his speed so great that he compressed the air into a visible shockwave ring.
Wherever it passed, the earth could not withstand the terrifying impact. The hard rock layers instantly shattered and exploded, turning the sand and stones on the ground into white dust flying everywhere, forming a bottomless ravine, as if the earth had been forcibly torn open with a hideous wound.
Having landed a successful blow, Boros's single eye gleamed with a crazed light, showing no sign of stopping. He flashed, transforming into a white lightning bolt, relentlessly pursuing Saitama. Immediately afterward, countless afterimages, as fiery as meteors, roared in from all directions, each afterimage a fatal strike, carrying an aura of annihilation, bombarding Saitama frantically and relentlessly, the muffled thuds of fists and feet merging into one continuous chain.
He was now moving faster than the limits of vision, like a devastating meteor shower. In his "Meteor Burst" state, every strike from his body was enough to shatter mountains, pouring down on Saitama's figure like a storm.
"Not enough! It's not over yet, Saitama!!" Boros roared during his frenzied attack.
"Convert all the energy in your body into power, unleash your strength at a speed that surpasses the limits of biological endurance, and feel this devastating blow!" Boros grinned wildly.
He forcefully twisted his body in mid-air, concentrating all the muscle power and energy in his body into a single point. Instantly, his thick right knee was enveloped in a blinding, destructive white light, so intense that it was impossible to look directly at it.
With a piercing shriek that tore through the air, his knee, imbued with earth-shattering force, slammed into Saitama's abdomen, striking precisely at the center of his weight.
"Meteor...Moon Landing Kick!!"
With that deadly roar, Saitama's figure, like a baseball being hit, instantly broke the sound barrier, turning into a tiny black dot, and was kicked hard towards the distant moon at supersonic speed.
"Huff... huff..."
Boros hovered in mid-air, his chest heaving violently as he gasped for breath. The blazing white energy on his body was still boiling, but it was showing signs of weakening and crumbling.
"This state... is even more brutal than anaerobic exercise; the body has reached its limit."
He struggled to raise his single eye, his gaze piercing through the thin clouds to the deep sky, a rare moment of hesitation flashing through his mind.
"We went a little... too far. Saitama should be... alright, right?"
Before the words were finished, a dark shadow fell from the sky like a meteorite, carrying a scorching tail flame that tore through the atmosphere, and crashed into the center of the ground.
Sand and soil shot into the sky like a mushroom cloud, and rubble swept outwards with shockwaves, blasting a bottomless crater into the already cracked earth.
Saitama slowly stood up from the pit, looked around, and smiled happily, "I'm back!"

Boros's one-eyed man stood there for a moment, then his expression turned serious.
"Saitama, for you, I'm willing to give it my all!"
Boros's single eye was bloodshot from extreme excitement. With this heart-wrenching scream, his figure transformed into a white lightning bolt, launching another violent and stormy attack with near-self-destructive speed and power.
In an instant, this world seemed to become an outlet for power, with continuous, deafening roars shaking the heavens. Visible white shockwaves expanded and exploded around him, the mournful howls of air compressed to its extreme, instantly leveling the ruins beneath his feet and stirring up clouds of dust.
In the eye of this devastating storm, Saitama's usually lifeless eyes were now unusually filled with a fierce passion. Faced with this overwhelming onslaught, he ceased to defend himself; the corners of his mouth even curled up slightly, revealing a long-lost fighting spirit.
"A series of normal punches!"
A low shout escaped Saitama's lips. Instantly, a flash of light tore through the white storm. Saitama's figure vanished from his spot, replaced by a sea of fist shadows that blotted out the sky. These were no longer casual punches, but a full-blown release of power.
Countless punches, faster than the limits of vision, poured out like a storm, each punch accompanied by a whistling sound that tore through space, striking every inch of Boros's body with precision and ferocity.
"Bang bang bang bang bang-!!!"
The dense, resounding impacts coalesced into a chilling hum. In that storm, Boros's prized, resilient body crumbled like fragile porcelain. It shattered under the barrage of punches; skin, muscles, bones… before absolute power, the form of matter became utterly meaningless.
His figure was violently shattered in mid-air, flesh and blood flying everywhere, leaving only his single eye radiating boundless fighting spirit.
The single eye struggled to maintain its focus amidst the raging air currents, emitting a tenacious light that forcibly absorbed and coalesced the scattered blood mist and fragments of flesh. Slowly, shattered limbs reformed from nothingness, and Boros's figure reappeared, albeit with great pain.
"This is amazing! This is the feeling! Saitama, this is exactly what I need! This is the kind of battle I crave!"
"Gathering all the energy in my body, this is the ultimate impact capable of destroying a planet. This is the final blow, Saitama."
Boros roared to the sky, his voice a mixture of madness and desperation. He clasped his hands together heavily in front of his chest, and in an instant, a terrifying, blinding light radiating an aura of destruction frantically gathered in his palms.
The light was as dazzling as a miniature sun, its blinding brilliance momentarily overshadowing his already radiant body. The violent energy fluctuations caused the surrounding space to distort violently, the air was sucked away, creating a vacuum of death.
Betting the name of the universe's overlord
"I will defeat you."
"Collapsing Star—"
"Roaring Cannon!!"
With Boros's roar, the extremely compressed energy, containing terrifying power capable of destroying stars, instantly transformed into a colossal pillar of light spanning the heavens and earth. Wherever the pillar passed, the air instantly ionized, and space collapsed inch by inch, carrying the power to annihilate everything and reshape the universe, heading straight for Saitama.
Faced with this devastating attack, Saitama raised his head. His face, which was usually nonchalant and even somewhat blank, was now unusually serious and earnest. He slowly raised his right hand, clenched it into a fist, and his eyes revealed an unprecedented sharpness.
"Then I'll use my trump card too."
"The Ultimate Killer, Serious Series—"
"A serious punch!"
Without any earth-shattering energy gathering, Saitama simply threw this punch. This seemingly ordinary punch contained absolute power capable of shattering all cause and effect and crushing all concepts.
Two forces, transcending the laws of physics and representing the pinnacle of the world, collided violently in mid-air. For a fleeting moment, time seemed to freeze, and the world fell into absolute silence. Then, the shockwaves surged skyward, forming a massive, almost tangible energy ring that swept across the entire planet at the speed of light. Wherever it passed, mountains were flattened, oceans evaporated instantly, and the earth cracked inch by inch like a fragile mirror.
The blinding white light instantly engulfed all vision. The thick sky stretching for thousands of miles was torn apart and ripped open by this earth-shattering collision, revealing the dark and cold void of the universe. It was as if the heavens had been punched through a huge hole.
Between heaven and earth, only a pure, deathly white expanse remained, devouring everything.
Moments later, the blinding light slowly dissipated, revealing a ravaged landscape like the receding tide. Boros's figure, like a falling meteor, his mangled body crashing heavily onto the desert. The immense impact slammed into the ground, creating a bottomless crater, with spiderweb-like cracks spreading for kilometers in all directions.
That body, which had shone with a bright white light and was as dazzling as a supernova, had now completely lost its radiance, fading back to its original azure blue, and its skin was covered with cracks like those on broken porcelain.
As his consciousness faded, the roaring sound in his ears gradually receded. Boros seemed to hear his own heartbeat. He struggled to open his single eye, gazing at the sky above, which had been torn apart and was slowly healing. A sigh of relief tugged at the corner of his mouth.
Did I lose?
"Just now? Was that really me? Boros, your obsession... I've fulfilled it for you. I was so stupid, really, I should have known the ending, yet I still went crazy..."
"Give me the chance, and I'll definitely help you kill that fortune teller... Is this... what you call an evenly matched contest?"
"Hey, hey! Are you alright? Don't try to scam me..." Saitama's voice faintly reached his ears. Before he could respond, everything went black, and he was completely plunged into boundless darkness.
Saitama looked at Boros, who had fainted in front of him, and scratched his head in frustration: "I was just getting all fired up!"
