Fu Zhaojie continued speaking,

"Then the black hole started sucking things in." Fu Zhaojie's speech quickened. "The wind was blowing in from inside the hole... no, it was blowing in from outside into the black hole. Sand and gravel were all flying in that direction."

He became more and more agitated as he spoke, "The five of us could barely stand... One of my roommates was sucked right in. Then the second one... I was holding onto the rocks on the cave wall... and my hand slipped."

He opened his palm. There were two healed scars on his palm, extending from the base of his thumb to the base of his little finger.

"I was sucked in."

"You'll wake up right here." He gestured with his chin towards the cave entrance behind him. "The seaside. Right under that rock wall."

"Where's your roommate?" Chen Siyao asked.

Fu Zhaojie shook his head.

"I didn't see them. I'm all alone. I don't know where they were sucked to... or if I was the only one sucked to this place."

He lowered his head.

"I searched for a long time. I walked along the coastline for days. There was nothing. Nobody. No animals. Just this empty sea."

The comments scrolled by incredibly fast.

"So, the inheritance triggered the spatial teleportation?"

"White-headed, fox-like, dog-like... Heavenly Dog?"

"The Heavenly Dog! The Heavenly Dog from the Classic of Mountains and Seas! It can swallow the sun and the moon!"

A verified blue-V comment reads: "Distinguished Professor, Institute of Classic of Mountains and Seas":

"The white-headed, dog-like creature described by Fu Zhaojie is very likely the Celestial Dog recorded in the Classic of Mountains and Seas. The Classic of Mountains and Seas, Western Mountains Classic, states: 'Three hundred li further west is Yin Mountain, where there is a beast that looks like a fox but has a white head, named Celestial Dog.' In ancient legends, the Celestial Dog can swallow the sun and moon and is closely related to space travel and dimensional leaps. Fu Zhaojie may have triggered the Celestial Dog's spatial abilities."

Further analysis followed.

"Can Tengu traverse other worlds?" "No, no, no, Tengu only has spatial attributes, they don't cross dimensions, right?" "After the Flame Spirit Stone appeared, the barrier to other worlds thinned, so Tengu's spatial abilities might be sufficient." "By the way, did Fu Zhaojie receive the inheritance?"

After reading the comments, Chen Siyao turned to look at Chen Hao.

"Bro, the comments are saying that maybe the Tengu brought him here. What do you think?"

Chen Hao came down from Fuzhu.

He walked up to Fu Zhaojie and looked down at him for two seconds.

Then he shook his head.

"It's not a celestial dog."

Fu Zhaojie was stunned.

"Not a tengu? Then..."

Chen Hao didn't explain. He looked at Fu Zhaojie and asked, "That black hole—have you seen it again?"

Fu Zhaojie nodded quickly. "I saw it! After I woke up over there—in the cave under that rock wall by the sea—the black hole was still there. But it had shrunk."

"How small?"

"It's about the size of a human head," Fu Zhaojie gestured. "When I woke up, it was hanging on the cave wall. Inside, the sun and moon were still changing. I wanted to crawl back in—but I couldn't fit. It was too small."

"Are they still available?"

Fu Zhaojie hesitated for a moment.

"I don't know. I went to check on it again on the third day after I arrived—it was still there. But I haven't dared to go back since. That cave... there's something deep inside."

Chen Siyao and Yang Wanqing both looked at him at the same time.

"What is it?"

Fu Zhaojie rubbed the goosebumps on his arms.

"There was a sound. It was coming from deeper inside. It wasn't the sound of wind, it wasn't the sound of water—it was the sound of something alive. It was very loud. The sound—it shook the cave walls."

His Adam's apple bobbed.

"I ran away. I haven't dared to go back since. I moved to live on this hillside."

The chat in the live stream was processing this information.

"Is there something alive deep inside?"

"Is there not only a black hole in that cave, but also monsters?"

"It's a miracle that Fu Zhaojie survived for another month."

"Yaoyao, you absolutely must go see that black hole! Maybe it can connect you back to Earth!"

Chen Siyao was also thinking about this question. If that black hole was a passage connecting Earth and another world... even if it had shrunk... its very existence was a major discovery.

She glanced at her brother.

Chen Hao stood still, his gaze passing over Fu Zhaojie's head and looking towards the distant coastline.

"lead the way."

Two words.

Fu Zhaojie's face paled for a moment. "Go...go to that cave?"

"Um."

"God...there really is something inside. That cry..."

"lead the way."

Fu Zhaojie gritted his teeth.

He bent down and picked up a sharpened wooden stick from beside the cave entrance... It was his weapon for self-defense over the past month... He gripped it tightly in his hand, his knuckles clenched.

"Come with me."

The group walked north along the coastline.

Fu Zhaojie walked at the front. He glanced back every now and then... to make sure Chen Hao was still following. Each time he saw Chen Hao's calm face, his steps became a little steadyer.

It took about twenty minutes to walk.

The terrain along the coastline began to change. The flat sandy beaches disappeared, replaced by layers of black rock.

The rock face rises from the ground, getting higher and higher as you go, until it finally forms a cliff that is more than ten meters high.

The cliff face is steep, and the bottom has been eroded by the sea over the years, creating some depressions.

Fu Zhaojie stopped in front of a huge rock.

"It's right down here."

Beside the boulder was a crevice, wide enough for a person to squeeze through sideways. The crevice extended downwards, as if a rift had been forcibly torn open from the rock strata.

Fu Zhaojie stood at the edge of the crack, clutching a wooden stick, his face pale. His hands were trembling—not from the cold.

Yang Wanqing leaned closer for a look. The inside of the crack was pitch black; nothing could be seen. A chill rose from below, carrying an indescribable fishy smell.

"I'll go down first." Fu Zhaojie took a deep breath and squeezed into the crevice.

His figure was quickly swallowed by the darkness.

Chen Siyao manipulated the image-recording crystal to follow. The light at the bottom of the crystal lit up, illuminating the passage beneath the crack.

The rock face was irregular, the ground was slippery, and the top was about two meters high. It was barely possible to walk upright.

Chen Siyao followed them inside. Yang Wanqing followed behind. Chen Hao came last. Xiaoyue stayed beside Chen Hao.

The passage continues downwards.

It wasn't going underground... it was extending towards the sea. After walking a while deeper, Chen Siyao could feel the ground beneath her feet sloping downhill.

The air is getting increasingly humid. Water droplets are seeping from the rock face.

"How much further?" Chen Siyao asked.

"Almost there." Fu Zhaojie's voice echoed from ahead. "Just a few more minutes."

The passageway made two turns. Then... the space suddenly opened up.

They entered a natural cave.

It wasn't very large... a dozen meters in diameter. There was a crack in the top, through which a faint sliver of light shone. The air was thick with a heavy, damp smell and an unidentified fishy odor.

The ground was smooth rock. There was a thin layer of water.

Fu Zhaojie stood in the center of the cave, holding a wooden stick and looking around.

"This is it. The black hole was right there on that wall."

He pointed to the rock face directly opposite.

Chen Siyao manipulated the crystal to brighten the light and shone it over.

There was nothing on that rock face.

The stone surface was grayish-black, damp, and had a few natural cracks. Other than that, there was nothing there.
