Chen Hao wanted to give a few more words of advice, but Lin Caiwei had already smiled, opened the door, and walked out.

Watching her light and cheerful figure, Lin Sinian couldn't help but smile and sigh:

"This girl, before, when I asked her to pick up Sisi from kindergarten, she absolutely refused to go out and was extremely reserved."

Now they're proactive and positive; the change is huge.

He turned to look at Chen Hao, a smile in his eyes:

"It's all because you spoiled her so much that she became more and more relaxed and at ease."

Chen Hao smiled faintly, without saying a word, but his heart was full of tenderness.

Not long after, Lin Caiwei returned, holding Sisi's little hand.

As soon as Sisi entered the door, she saw her great-grandfather sitting in the living room. Her eyes lit up instantly, and she broke free from her mother's hand and happily rushed over to him.

"Great-Grandpa!" The little guy's voice was soft, sweet, and loud, full of joy.

Lin Sinian immediately stood up, reached out and hugged the little one, affectionately kissing her soft little face, his heart full of doting:

"Does Sisi miss her great-grandfather?"

"Yes! Sisi misses Great-Grandpa so much every day!" Sisi hugged his neck tightly and answered loudly and earnestly.

Lin Sinian smiled gently, took a beautifully packaged little box from the bag he had brought earlier, and handed it to Sisi:

"Great-Grandpa brought Sisi a little gift, guess what it is?"

Sisi immediately took the box out of curiosity, shook it gently, and a crisp rustling sound came from inside. Her eyes instantly lit up, and she exclaimed in surprise:

"It's a jigsaw puzzle! Right, Great-Grandpa!"

"Our Sisi is so smart, she guessed it right away."

Lin Sinian smiled as he opened the box. Inside was a brightly colored animal puzzle with various small animals, including lions, tigers, and giraffes, all with exquisite and adorable designs.

Sisi was instantly captivated by the puzzle and immediately lay down on the living room carpet, intently piecing together the pieces.

As evening fell, Chen Hao cooked a large table full of dishes, a balanced mix of meat and vegetables, all of which looked, smelled, and tasted delicious.

Lin Ssu-nien was extremely satisfied with the meal. Every dish suited his taste, and he repeatedly praised the chef's skills. He ate two bowls of rice and thoroughly enjoyed himself.

After dinner, Sisi clung to her great-grandfather, refusing to leave. Her small body nestled against Lin Sinian, and she spoke in a spoiled tone:

"Great-Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, can you tell me a story about yourself when you were young? I want to hear it!"

Lin Sinian leaned back on the soft sofa, looking at the little guy's expectant expression, smiled and pondered for a moment before slowly speaking:

"Okay, then Great-Grandpa will tell you one."

When my great-grandfather was young, he often went to the deep mountains alone to sketch. Once, he encountered a large wild boar in the mountains.

"Wild boar?!" Sisi's eyes widened instantly, her face filled with tension, and she instinctively gripped Lin Caiwei's hand tightly beside her.

"Yes, a very large wild boar." Lin Sinian gestured a large circle with his hand, his tone tinged with amusement.

"It was all black, with red eyes and sharp fangs bared in its mouth. It looked incredibly fierce and terrifying."

Sisi held her breath, her little face full of tension, and clung tightly to Lin Caiwei's chest.

"Back then, my great-grandfather was all alone, with nothing around him except a paintbrush in his hand," Lin Sinian continued, telling the story slowly and earnestly.

"I wasn't flustered at all. I just grabbed my paintbrush and yelled at the wild boar, 'Stop right there! If you dare come any closer, I'll draw an ugly portrait of you for everyone to see!'"

Sisi was stunned for a moment, blinking her big eyes. After she realized what was happening, she immediately burst into laughter, laughing so hard that her body trembled slightly.

"Guess what?" Lin Sinian asked mysteriously, smiling as he continued.

"The wild boar stared at me for several seconds, as if it was really scared. Then it turned around and ran away quickly, disappearing without a trace."

I guess they were afraid I'd draw it too badly and lose face.

As soon as these words were spoken, the entire living room was instantly filled with laughter and joy.

Sisi laughed so hard she fell onto the sofa, clutching her stomach with her little hands, unable to stop laughing.

Lin Caiwei leaned to the side, her eyes slightly warm from laughing, tears welling up in her eyes.

Even the usually composed Chen Hao couldn't help but smile and chuckle softly.

Lin Sinian laughed heartily and gently patted Sisi's soft little head.

"So Sisi, you must remember that no matter what difficulties or scary things you encounter in the future, don't panic or be afraid."

My great-grandfather used to be able to scare away wild boars with just a paintbrush. Our Sisi is also the bravest child; she has nothing to fear.

Sisi immediately sat up straight on the sofa, her little face tense, and nodded very seriously:

"Sisi, don't be afraid! Sisi, you must be brave like Great-Grandpa from now on! Don't be afraid of any difficulties!"

Looking at the little guy's sensible and brave appearance, Lin Sinian felt a warmth in his heart, and his eyes welled up with tears.

He reached out and pulled Sisi back into his arms, gently kissing her smooth forehead, his voice full of relief:

"What a good child."

Time passed slowly, and it was getting late. Lin Sinian got up to say goodbye and go home.

Chen Hao stepped forward and escorted him to the door.

Lin Sinian bent down to change his shoes, turned around, and looked at Chen Hao in front of him seriously.

"Chen Hao".

"Grandpa," Chen Hao replied.

Lin Sinian stared at him quietly for several seconds, then raised his hand and gently patted his shoulder, his tone sincere and solemn:

"From now on, take good care of Weiwei, cherish Sisi, and protect them both."

Chen Hao nodded emphatically, his tone firm: "I will, Grandpa. I will take good care of them and be good to them for the rest of my life."

Lin Sinian gave him a deep look, his eyes full of satisfaction, before turning and walking into the elevator.

As the elevator doors slowly closed, Chen Hao clearly saw a relieved and satisfied smile on the old man's face.

He turned and went back into the house, where the living room remained warm and peaceful.

Lin Caiwei was squatting on the ground, gently changing Sisi's pajamas, patiently buttoning them up one by one.

Sisi stood obediently, her little mouth still chattering away, repeating the wild boar story her great-grandfather had told her, full of joy.

Chen Hao walked over, squatted down, and gently and carefully helped Sisi put on her little socks.

Sisi looked down at her father carefully helping her put on her socks, then looked up at her gentle mother. Her little face was filled with happiness, her eyes crinkled, and she spoke in a soft, sweet voice:

"I'm so happy today! Mom and Dad are with me, and Great-Grandpa came to see me too. I'm the happiest child in the world today!"

Lin Caiwei and Chen Hao exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with gentle smiles, a gentle passage of time, a peaceful and serene year after year.
