Greece: I am the master of destiny!

Chapter 8 The Prophet Begins to Distribute Gold

At the desperate plea of the sea goddess Tethys, Prometheus finally climbed the sacred mountain once more.

For the gods of today, time is the most useless thing; a few years is but a blink of an eye.

In the past few years, Uranus had never urged Prometheus, but Prometheus could still feel the gaze that occasionally came from the top of the mountain.

Uranus was a proud god-king, so he wouldn't ask Prometheus to make the next prophecy, otherwise it would seem as if he was afraid of the prophecy.

But this doesn't mean Prometheus can keep dragging it out indefinitely; the king of the gods has his limits.

Realizing the time was about right, Prometheus took advantage of Tethys's visit and went up the sacred mountain.

Uranus was indeed waiting for Him on the mountaintop. Even Atlas, whom He had most praised in recent years, was not by His side. This shows that His Majesty the King of Gods still cared about this prophecy.

The other twelve first gods all looked over the moment Prometheus stepped onto the mountain.

"Your Majesty, Lord of the Heavens, Great God-King, thank you for granting me time to recover. My divine power has now been replenished, and I have come to continue my prophecy for you." Prometheus bowed respectfully and spoke sincerely.

Uranus nodded, and said calmly, "Very good, you may begin."

As soon as these words were spoken, all the gods watching this place tensed up, holding their breath and waiting for this final judgment.

In an instant, it seemed as if the whole world had fallen silent, leaving only the two gods conversing atop the towering sacred mountain.

A holy white light ignited in Prometheus's eyes once more, and that feeling of being spied on, which greatly displeased Uranus, reappeared. The god-king frowned and silently endured it.

Finally, the white light in Prometheus's eyes dissipated, and he bowed reverently, saying:

"Your Majesty, my divine power is limited. I cannot directly predict which god has raised the sword against you. I can only eliminate them one by one. Please understand."

Uranus nodded slightly, showing no displeasure. He had plenty of time to wait for the prophecy and was in no hurry.

Prometheus then revealed the outcome of his prophecy: "The esteemed Lord Oceanus, the master of the great ocean currents that encircle the entire world, is not the one who will raise the sword."

Along with His voice, the laws of the world responded to His prophecy, and Uranus could clearly sense that Prometheus was telling the truth.

He nodded, his face revealing neither joy nor anger, and his voice was completely calm: "I understand. You've worked hard. Go and rest now."

Prometheus, whose divine power had once again become depleted, nodded, bowed respectfully, and withdrew.

At this moment, the gods who were watching this place, apart from the ecstatic Oceanus and the finally relieved Tethys, all had mixed feelings.

Oceanus was tormented in just a few years, falling from the Great Perfection of Great Divine Power to the Middle Level of Great Divine Power (each level of divine power is divided into four stages: low, middle, high, and Great Perfection), a truly tragic situation.

But now His suffering is finally coming to an end, and this ever-kind ocean god is so moved that he is almost in tears.

But His suffering days are over, but the suffering days of others... have begun.

In Greek mythology, goddesses have no right of succession, so they pose no threat. Therefore, Uranus only had six children to guard against.

Apart from Oceanus, the god of the ocean, they are—

Hyperion, the god of light and the sun;

Coeus, the god of wisdom and thought;

Crius, the god of the heavens and weather;

Iapetus, the god of life and soul;

And Cronus, the youngest son of the king of gods and the god of harvest and growth.

Among them, the youngest son Cronus was the weakest, possessing only low-level powerful divine power. The sun god Hyperion and the celestial god Crios both reached high-level powerful divine power, making them the most powerful beings after Oceanus lost his power.

Coeus, the god of wisdom and thought, and Iapetus, the god of life and soul, are both mid-level powerful deities.

So, Uranus's gaze naturally turned to the sky.

There, the sun and stars are both present.

After years of torment, Pontus, the god of the sea, like Oceanus, fell from his divine power to the middle level of powerful gods, but Uranus remained firmly in the realm of divine power, which greatly displeased Uranus.

He quickly came up with a new "game": He grabbed stars from the sky and hurled them at the mountains on the ground.

This is undoubtedly a horrific catastrophe for the entire world.

In Uranus's hands, those stars transformed into one terrifying meteor after another, crashing onto the high mountains and creating a deafening roar that resounded throughout the world. Even the solid ground beneath their feet was cracked open!

Not only that, Uranus also forcibly pressed the sun onto the earth, and in just an instant, the scorching temperature destroyed all vegetation and all things that represented the life force of Cronus.

The agonizing cries of the gods echoed throughout the world once more, but this time it was the screams of Uriah, Hyperion, Crios, and Cronus.

But Uranus became even more excited as he heard the sounds of pain, showing no mercy and becoming even more decisive and ruthless!

The entire world teetered on the brink of collapse under the God-King's outburst, and all the gods trembled with fear at this moment, suffering greatly from this mental torment.

When the king of the gods was finally stopped by Gaia, the Earth Mother, who rushed to the scene, and decided to rest for the time being, the whole world was already devastated.

Just as the gods trembled in fear, not daring to utter a word, a sacred goddess walked silently across the ravaged land, without uttering a sound.

This goddess has long, golden hair that radiates a warm glow, and her eyes are also a sacred gold. Her features are exquisitely beautiful, and she wears a flawless white dress. She looks so noble and holy, yet she also exudes an indescribable majesty.

She is Themis, the sacred and majestic goddess of justice and order. She is the embodiment of order, and her very existence is equivalent to justice.

But at this moment, the goddess's face was frighteningly cold, and when her beautiful golden eyes swept over the ravaged land, they revealed a hint of pain.

She was the goddess of order, yet she could only watch helplessly as the god-king destroyed the order of the entire world, and she was powerless to stop it.

This not only greatly affected her divine authority, causing her divine power to decline, but also made her feel pain from the bottom of her heart.

But just then, she heard a soft sigh.

Themis turned around and saw a boy dressed in white standing behind her.

The face was quite familiar; Themis recognized it—it was Prometheus, the god of prophecy, the very source of all this.

Themis's face immediately turned cold, and she asked coldly, "What are you doing here?"

"Your Highness, you shouldn't ask me why I've come, but rather why I haven't ended all this chaos."

Themis paused for a moment, then said, "You knew all along?"

"If you mean that it was you who directed Prince Tethys to come to me and prompted me to ascend the sacred mountain to give a new prophecy, then I do know that."

Themis sneered, "Yes, the goddess of prophecy always knows everything, but I wonder if you foresaw all of this?"

As she spoke, her slender, jade-like fingers pointed to the chaotic world, making no attempt to conceal her dissatisfaction and hostility towards Prometheus.

"Your Highness, you are taking your anger out on me." Prometheus sighed helplessly and said softly, "None of this was my wish."

"I am powerless to stop it, and I have failed Your Highness's expectations."

Themis sneered, but didn't want to pay any more attention to this guy and wanted to leave.

But just as she turned around, the person's voice came from behind her again, unhurried and calm, with endless composure.

All I heard the man say was—

"Your Highness, do you wish to end this chaos?"

Themis's steps suddenly stopped.
