Chapter 49 JK Wang Churan [Please continue reading! There will be another update tomorrow, please!]
White shirt, blue plaid skirt.
The mid-calf socks just reached below the knee; two fingers above that was the hem of the skirt, and two fingers below that was the edge of the socks. Nothing was revealed in the middle, yet it was impossible to look away.
Yu Liang couldn't help but sigh, wondering who invented JK that could make people focus automatically, it was simply amazing.
Wang Churan stood before him, her long black hair cascading over her white shirt. Sunlight streamed in from behind, casting a pale golden glow on the edges of her hair. Perhaps she was used to wearing costumes for so long, as she seemed a little uncomfortable in this attire. She subconsciously tugged at her skirt, then looked up and smiled at him.
"Let's go," Wang Churan said.
Before this, Yu Liang was somewhat reluctant, after all, in his view, two actors coming to see a movie on their day off was equivalent to working overtime. But now, after seeing Wang Churan's outfit, he instantly felt...
Um~
This shift is extra.
It's straight now!
"Let's go," Yu Liang said.
---
Yu Liang and Wang Churan went to the Wanda Cinema in Hengdian West City.
It was summer vacation, and it was afternoon, so the movie theater was packed with people. Yu Liang and Wang Churan, wearing masks, stood in the crowd, and looking around, they saw that most of the people there were couples.
A young couple, arm in arm, the boy was talking animatedly about his experiences on the film set.
"The head of the photography crew said they'll call me for the next shoot. I guess I've got this line drawn."
The girl smiled but didn't reply; she simply tightened her grip on the boy's arm.
Yu Liang glanced at them. The boy's T-shirt collar was a little deformed from washing, but he was wearing a well-made replica mechanical watch. The girl's makeup was exquisite, her eyelashes were perfectly separated, and although the bag she was carrying wasn't a high-end brand, it was still an entry-level model from a mid-range luxury line.
The old formula in Hengdian. The pairing of female and male extras is never parallel. Their gaze habitually looks upwards, searching for the main creators of the production crew, child actors, and local business owners.
The boy in front of her was desperately trying to demonstrate his "potential for advancement," while the girl was cautiously placing her bets.
You understand my feigned modesty, and I understand your ulterior motives.
In Yu Liang's view, the ambiguous atmosphere created by the two is not the budding of youth, but a state of love that is yet to come.
"What's wrong?" Wang Churan glanced at Yu Liang.
"It's nothing," Yu Liang said, turning her gaze away.
After collecting his tickets, he checked the time. "There's still a while before boarding. Would you like something to drink?"
Wang Churan hesitated for a moment.
"How's the milk tea?" Yu Liang pointed to a milk tea shop next to the elevator.
"But drinking milk tea can easily lead to weight gain." Wang Churan frowned.
Yu Liang smiled. "It's just one cup. Besides, you look good even when you're chubby."
Wang Churan didn't reply, but her ears turned a little red.
"Then I'll have the cheese milk foam one." She pointed to the shop. "I want that one."
The two walked down the escalator. Yu Liang looked up at the shop's name—The Answer.
This is a bubble tea shop that became very popular in 2018, gaining fame for its "bubble tea plus fortune telling" concept. Customers write a question on the cup sleeve, and after the staff scans the code, the system randomly generates a sentence, which is then printed on the milk foam. Peeling off the sticker reveals the answer.
After coming down the escalator, Wang Churan jogged over to order, then turned to Yu Liang and specifically told her, "You're not allowed to peek."
Then she lay down on the table and carefully wrote a few words on the cup sleeve.
After finishing writing, she glanced back at Yu Liang and asked, "Don't you want a drink?"
Yu Liang shook his head. He couldn't handle something so sweet and rich; he rarely drank milk tea.
Of the drinks, he drinks Gatorade more often.
Yu Liang smiled and said, "If you have any questions, why not just ask me? I can give you a fortune reading right now, maybe even more accurate than a machine."
"Who asked you?" Wang Churan rolled her eyes at him and turned her head away.
She took the milk tea from the shop assistant, carefully lifted a corner of the lid, and leaned over to glance at the words on it. Yu Liang silently moved closer, and she hurriedly covered the lid, almost jumping up.
"Hey, what are you doing! You're so annoying!"
"Okay, okay, I'm not watching anymore." Yu Liang raised her hands in surrender. "The movie's about to start, let's go."
The two took the escalator back to the fourth floor. Yu Liang scanned the code and got a bottle of Gatorade, then thought for a moment and ordered an extra serving of popcorn.
"Let's go."
He held a sports drink in one hand and popcorn in the other, and the ticket inspector smiled as she took the ticket stub. When she saw the two people, her gaze lingered for a second longer—these two masked individuals had a different physique and demeanor than those around them; she couldn't quite put her finger on what was so good about them, but they just had a kind of "celebrity aura."
Perhaps it's because their figures and heights are too outstanding. The ticket inspector shook his head, smiled, and gestured: "Handsome guy, beautiful lady, please come in. Go straight to Hall 7."
---
The lights in the theater were dim.
Yu Liang glanced around and saw that most of the seats were occupied. He didn't like sitting in the middle, so he chose a seat in the second-to-last row, towards the back. There weren't many people in this row; only two people were sitting near the aisle on the other side.
The two sat down, the lights went out, and the screen lit up.
Wang Churan looked around and, seeing that there weren't many people nearby, took off her mask. She picked up her milk tea, pressed her lips to the rim of the cup, took a sip of the cheese foam, and squinted her eyes contentedly.
The movie slowly begins.
White subtitles appeared one by one on the black screen, while cheerful Indian folk songs played in the background. Then, a disheveled Xu Zheng appeared in his Indian herbal oil shop.
The story progresses until Tan Zhuo's character, Liu Sihui, is seen wearing a halter-neck miniskirt and performing a hot dance on a steel pole.
Then came the scene forty minutes later.
Sihui said, "You sit down first, I'm going to take a shower." Her tone was ambiguous.
Xu Zheng was both nervous and excited, fixing his hair and taking off his coat, his face full of anticipation.
On screen, Tan Zhuo emerges from the shower, wearing a silk camisole nightgown and exquisite makeup. She sits on Cheng Yong's lap and initiates a kiss.
Wang Churan's face was already flushed. She secretly glanced at Yu Liang while picking up her milk tea, only to meet his gaze.
"Why don't you watch the movie? You keep looking at me." She turned her face away from the screen, her voice low as if she were muttering.
Thank goodness, the little girl came out. Wang Churan secretly breathed a sigh of relief. When she said she wanted to watch this movie, she never expected this kind of plot. If something had actually happened on screen, she and Yu Liang sitting here would have been in real trouble.
"Isn't it beautiful?" she whispered.
"Okay." Yu Liang looked away and pushed the popcorn toward her.
Wang Churan didn't say anything, then a hand silently reached out and grabbed a few.
In the movie, Si Hui's daughter appears at the door wearing a fever-reducing patch and stares coldly at Cheng Yong.
Cheng Yong snapped back to reality in an instant. Seeing the wall covered with photos of Si Hui and her daughter, he felt as if he had been doused with cold water. He hurriedly got up and left under an excuse.
Seeing the abrupt end to the ambiguous relationship, Yu Liang wondered if she had watched an censored version.
No, I'll wait until I become famous, then I'll ask Ning Hao and Xu Zheng for the uncut version.
However, just as Yu Liang was feeling sentimental, he suddenly heard a girl's low moan coming from not far behind him.
Wang Churan was taken aback and asked curiously, "What was that sound?"
"It's nothing." Yu Liang covered Wang Churan's eyes with his hand.
He glanced at the right side behind him out of the corner of his eye.
It turned out to be the young couple we had just seen.
Yes, the person moves inside the clothes, and the movements are never the same.
Although the two did not do anything drastic on the spot, they did their best to restrain themselves.
But you're interfering with my movie viewing!
Yu Liang coughed twice, and then his movements became slightly smaller.
Yu Liang considered that if the other party continued to act recklessly, he wouldn't mind joining in, since someone had to take a picture of them.
Besides, he's only seen it with his own eyes, he hasn't taken any pictures of it yet.
