Qian Lili had already rushed to the stairwell. Lin Muying saw a second monkey crawl out of the golden door. She thought the same as Li Yu and knew that the situation was bad. She turned around and ran towards Qian Lili.

Li Yu swung the crowbar, watching the monkey retreat and not daring to approach him, and then retreated towards the stairwell.

The monkey that was retreating stopped when it saw Li Yu retreating. It made a strange sound from its open mouth. Suddenly, the corners of its mouth split open, but instead of blood flowing out, it produced wriggling, dark red mycelia.

These mycelia, like living things, wriggled outwards from the flesh and blood at the two cracked corners of its mouth, appearing indescribably eerie and ugly.

The white-haired monkey seemed somewhat taken aback and turned its head. Li Yu saw the monkey with its mouth split open suddenly open its blood-red maw, and fangs grew out at a visible speed. With a snap, it bit the white-haired monkey's head.

A large amount of blood splattered out, and Li Yu saw the fangs that had grown out drive into the white-haired monkey's head like nails, followed by a tooth-grinding sound of bones cracking.

This monkey with a split mouth really mutated after being parasitized by a mushroom, and turned into a monster.
