Did they spend all their points on buying high-end sonar detectors?

This idea inexplicably popped into Zhong Xu's mind.

In that brief silence, Falcon’s voice rang out again. He seemed to think that the other two teams did not believe his judgment, especially Zhong Xu, whom he had questioned earlier.

"I have no reason to lie to you. The three of us are all in the same boat now."

"I don't disbelieve you. Although I question your intelligence, I've never doubted your eyes."

"Can you please stop talking so rudely?"

Falcon was speechless at Zhong Xu's sharp tongue. He had only made a reasonable question, so why was he being targeted?

Luo's voice rang out at the right moment, interrupting the two of them:

"Should we continue taking the detour?"

"No, we detected a building on the right with an internal passageway just wide enough for an armored vehicle to pass through. Perhaps we could try going through there; it wouldn't waste time and would be faster."

Falcon shared his thoughts, and Zhong Xu was quite supportive of his suggestion.

Although this mission has a relatively generous amount of time, arriving at the complex earlier would allow for an earlier start to exploration and provide more options for the areas we want to explore.

Without objection, the armored vehicle led the way and turned onto the small road on the right, with Roy following closely behind in the exploration vehicle.

Guided by Falcon, the three vehicles soon arrived in front of a huge building.

Through the black mist, Zhong Xu could see a huge display screen hanging on the top of the building. It looked like something had hit it before, as it was covered with dense cracks.

Below the display screen, at the entrance resembling a shopping mall, there was a pile of clutter, as if someone was trying to block the door in the early days of the apocalypse.

The armored vehicle was the first to be hit, its crunching over the broken glass on the ground producing a crisp sound, and knocking away all the debris piled up at the entrance.

The passageway is limited in width, so three vehicles can only enter one after another, forming a long line to drive inside.

Upon entering the building, the surrounding black mist noticeably thinned out. Although the black mist was ubiquitous, it was partially blocked by the thick walls.

Although the black fog had thinned somewhat, there was still no light source inside the building, and the distance Zhong Xu could see remained almost unchanged.

The armored vehicle smashed through a lot of debris along the way, clearing a path for the two exploration vehicles behind it. Even so, Zhong Xu, sitting inside the exploration vehicle, still felt like he was on a roller coaster, being violently jolted.

Driving inside buildings relies more on the vehicle's hardware, especially a good sonar plotter, while the navigator's role is very limited.

Sitting in the car, Zhong Xu curiously looked around the interior of the building. It looked like a large shopping mall, with occasional shops appearing on the walls on both sides.

However, due to poor visibility, it was only possible to vaguely discern that there were things piled up inside, and it was impossible to see any more specific details.

"Turn left at the next intersection!"

At the very end of the convoy, Falcon, sitting inside, spoke again through a communicator to direct the armored vehicle at the front.

Turning in this narrow passage was somewhat difficult for the armored vehicle at the front. Instead of slowing down, it accelerated and rushed into the intersection, then suddenly turned at just the right moment, completing the turn with remarkable agility despite its extremely heavy body.

This series of actions left Roy, who was following behind, speechless. He blurted out instinctively:

"Wow, their driver is that skilled?"

Although he was surprised, Roy's skills were not much worse than his opponent's. They kept moving the control lever and power lever with their hands, and Zhong Xu immediately felt his upper body lean to the right uncontrollably.

Just as the car was about to follow the trajectory of the car in front and complete the turn, Zhong Xu, sitting in the back seat, suddenly shouted:

"Roy! Watch out to your right!"

"What?!"

Zhong Xu's almost roaring voice startled him. He turned his head and saw a huge figure rushing out of a shop in the black mist, baring its fangs and claws at them.

It was a bloated monster. If Zhong Xu hadn't seen it in advance thanks to his special ability, the exploration vehicle would probably have already crashed into it.

If you are hit from the side while making a sharp turn, you will almost certainly roll over!

The passage is very narrow, and if a vehicle rolls over here, it will be difficult to right it again.

Fortunately, Roy's driving skills were excellent. He quickly controlled the vehicle, and the speed of his hands was so fast that Zhong Xu could hardly see them.

Zhong Xu seemed to feel one side of the exploration vehicle lift slightly, but he wasn't sure if he was mistaken.

Fortunately, they managed to avoid the impact. The car almost grazed the monster's body. Lilia could even see the mutated tumors on the monster's body through the glass. Her already tired face turned pale instantly.

Although Zhong Xu and his team narrowly escaped the monster's attack, the Falcon Squad at the very back was not so lucky.

A series of loud impacts rang out clearly behind us, followed by a trailing metallic scraping sound.

Luo, who was driving at the front, clearly noticed what was happening behind him. His huge armored vehicle slowly came to a stop, blocking the way like a wall, forcing Roy to stop as well.

Even if Lu Ao and the others didn't stop, Zhong Xu would still make Roy stop, because driving inside this building without the Falcon Squad's guidance would be like being in a maze.

Looking back through the car window, he saw through the black fog that the monster had been slammed against the wall, its body convulsing, looking like it was close to death.

Falcon and his team's vehicle overturned at the intersection, the metal tracks scraping a deep mark on the floor.

Lu Ao's voice came through the communication device first. They were driving at the front and didn't know what was happening behind them.

"How is it?! Are you still alive?!"

The air was silent for a few seconds before Falcon's somewhat hoarse voice rang out again:

"Damn it! We're all okay, but the car overturned!"

"We need to get out and push the car back! We also need to check the condition of the vehicle, which will take some time!"

His voice was filled with obvious anger; this monster that appeared out of nowhere had caused them to tumble over here.

Falcon paused for a moment, then continued:

"That monster seems to have been killed, but I'm not sure if there are any other monsters around. Could you please send us some backup?"

However, before Golia's squad could respond, Zhong Xu's voice rang out in the communication channel:

"Other monsters are approaching..."

His gaze pierced through the black mist, and he saw another bloated monster approaching from across the intersection.
