This game is so weird!

Chapter 132 Re-established Scarred Star

[Update Announcement]

Dear explorers, thanks to your active participation, the building and combat gameplay in the game has been fully tested and optimized, and the important event—the Dawn Rescue—has been successfully completed.

With the help of the Exploration Guild and its explorers, the guild's forward base on Therastar—Hope Town—was successfully established. It also assisted the local human forces, the Security Government Alliance, in launching a counterattack, shattering the Orcs' delusion of exterminating humanity and conquering the Jasintu Plateau, severely damaging the Orcs and forcing them back underground.

The planet Sera is now in a stable period. The Security Government Alliance plans to focus on restoring production while exploring lost ground on the surface and underground Orc caves in preparation for the next war.

Therefore, this update, based on changes to the game's storyline, will refine the game content and unlock the Explorer Star System Switching function, allowing players to select the planet to log in to when logging into the game in the future.

The following planets are currently available for selection:

1. Scar Star: Offers exploration, adventure, and construction tasks, suitable for explorers who enjoy casual management.

2. Sera: Offers exploration, combat, and construction missions, suitable for explorers who enjoy post-apocalyptic reconstruction.

Note: As the base currently lacks spaceship manufacturing capabilities, there is no fixed transportation route between the two planets. Travel will only be possible once the base unlocks spaceships, allowing for scheduled flights organized by the base or by players building their own spaceships. Currently, only base spaceships required for the storyline are available for passage and cargo transport. Explorers can freely log in and switch login locations, but items carried by players cannot be transferred to the other planet.

For simulator game players, more test slots and more simulation missions and work locations will be available. See the in-game career office announcement for details. You can pick up the corresponding missions at the simulator building in Hope Town, Seraphim, and then take transportation to different work locations.

Simultaneously, adventure privileges are being opened. Simulator players on Sera can visit the Exploration Guild in the Commercial District after reaching a certain class level to obtain Explorer status, corresponding level, benefits, and unlock more gameplay options—such as exploring ruins and underground areas outside the base when led by a virtual game player. (Note: Due to technical issues, the function of simulator players independently exploring outside the base is temporarily unavailable. We will actively optimize this issue.)

In addition, we received a notification from Richard, the president of the Exploration Guild, that the base's spaceship will take off at 20:00 tonight, returning from Sera to Scar Planet. Explorers who wish to travel can go to the central square of the commercial district in advance to board the ship and return to the Scar Planet pioneering base together.

Thank you to all the pioneers for your contributions, which allow us to happily embrace the future!

While the announcement posted on the forum sparked heated discussions, Li Ang completed his last meeting with the lobby manager Miley and the guild captain Xiao Yin in the short term, and left the guild under Miley's grateful gaze.

"President! Come back soon!"

After communicating with Anya, Bard, Marcus, and others who came to see him off and exchanging contact information with each other using the smart headset, Li Ang strolled through the town on the outskirts of the commercial district. Looking at the once desolate mining area's surrounding commercial district, which had been transformed into a vibrant town, he felt a surge of emotions.

The nomads who joined the camp gradually transformed from being wary and indifferent to trusting and becoming more proactive.

After working hard for a while, most of the homeless people used their contribution points to post tasks in the guild, which then subcontracted the work to construction simulator players. This helped them build new homes, move out of the homeless dormitories, and make the town grow bigger and bigger. What was originally a small commercial area with only three or four buildings now extends to the foot of the hill between the commercial area and the mining area.

The trip to Sera not only brought a glimmer of hope to the local nomads, but also brought about tremendous changes to Leon's pioneering base.

This change can be easily observed from players who occasionally greet Li Ang while walking on the street.

Before coming to Seraphim, most players were just wearing diving suits, carrying survival knives, and at most an impact cannon.

After arriving on Zera, players felt embarrassed to go out without a gun. In addition, with the emergence of the player equipment workshop, a wide variety of armors allowed players to transform from survivors to fighters, breaking the Empire's restrictions on expansion bases and unlocking weapon options.

Although compared to the Empire's futuristic weaponry and technology, Scarred Planet is still just a child.

This is a significant improvement compared to venturing onto an alien planet unarmed, especially considering the base's technology arsenal includes powerful weapons like the Photon Missile, and the Dawn Hammer awaiting unlock. Once the spaceship is unlocked, with the technological support from Sera and the players' combat abilities, dealing with ordinary space pirates and dominating this remote and impoverished region should be possible.

Overall, he completed the transformation from an ant to a slightly troublesome ant. He didn't attract the attention of the empire, but he still brought Li Ang a lot of security.

Even today, Li Ang can still recall the lesson of his predecessor who went to explore the sea and was casually killed by other creatures.

"If I had these things, I wouldn't have died like this..."

Li Ang touched the explosive bow and explosive arrows in his side pouch and sighed.

Besides the photon missile, after returning, Muyu and the others scanned their loot to exchange for contribution points, such as Muyu's "shriek generator with unknown function", Black Duck's explosive bow, Battlefield Old Bin's "biomaterial armor fragments", and other little treasures discovered by other players.

These items may not be made public in the blueprint library because they lack commercial value or because of players' personal ideas.

Regardless of the reason, they will automatically be added to the base's blueprint library as inventory, and can be used directly when necessary. The base's research institute can also call them up for upgrades and modifications at any time.

On her first day at work, Vera checked the technology library at the pioneering base, disabled the default free licenses and public access options, and revoked all information authorizations. If Vera hadn't proactively reported this, Li Ang wouldn't have known about it.

Of course, upon learning of this, Li Ang increased Vera's guild mission quota as a reward. At the same time, he privately instructed Rotom to strengthen information interception and filtering, and to regularly review the information protection of external employees to ensure that similar incidents would not occur again.

After all, the planet's importance has increased rapidly since the discovery of the mysterious ruins and the special mineral—yellow crystals.

If it were to leak out by accident, there's no guarantee that some high-ranking official wouldn't try to take advantage of it.

After patrolling the base on Sera and confirming there were no hidden dangers, Li Ang finally returned to the commercial district, went to the spaceship's bridge, and waited for takeoff time.

"By the way, Miley."

"Hmm?" Miley's voice came through the voice chat, chewing her dinner with unclear pronunciation. After finally swallowing, she asked, "Is there something you need, President?"

"We will upgrade the rewards for technology-related tasks to accelerate the protection and restoration of Sera's technology and culture, and also encourage gamers to engage in invention and innovation. We'll discuss the details with you after you've compiled them."

"OK!"

Miley replied energetically, "The president is so kind. She's about to go back and she's still worrying about us."

I need to work harder too!

Miley made a decision in her mind.
