Meanwhile, Kitahara Tsune was following Kaku to the area where the Caesar submarine was located.

"If the real Kaku were as obedient as you, his dual-wielding style wouldn't be that bad."

Seeing how obedient the sea monster Kaku was, Kitahara Tsune smiled and said.

The giraffe-like marine creature Kaku seemed not to understand, taking it as a compliment from the human. After swam around happily in the water twice, it swam even faster.

They were very close to the submarine, and Vegapunk's analysis proved correct; the other side was indeed heading to Dressrosa.

Just one minute later, Kitahara Tsune had already spotted the pale yellow submarine.

"Why is there a chain strapped to this submarine? Isn't that slowing them down?"

Kitahara Tsune was puzzled and looked at the chain hanging down. There seemed to be something hanging from the end of the chain.

Kitahara Tsune picked up a camera Den Den Mushi, pointed the lens at the yellow submarine, and then slowly lowered it, following the chain, finally freezing the image at the end of the chain.

It was a figure eight meters tall with two thick tusks; it was Jack the Drought.

"So he was Jack the Drought."

"Why tie him to the bottom of the submarine?"

"Isn't Jack a power user? How come he can directly access the ocean?"

In the Punk Hazard research lab, a group of researchers were watching the footage from the camera Den Den Mushi and discussing it amongst themselves.

"Judging from his appearance, he seems to have fish-man blood."

"No wonder they can breathe underwater."

Kitahara Tsutomu, on the other end of the Den Den Mushi, could not hear the researchers' voices because of the seawater barrier.

But he was well aware of the reasons behind it.

Sensing someone approaching, the lion-headed sea monster that was originally following Jack quickly swam to Kitahara Tsune's side.

It was initially attracted by the bloody smell on Jack and even tried to sneak up and take a bite, but its teeth couldn't pierce his flesh at all. Instead, it was punched by Jack and even broke one of its teeth.

Fortunately, Jack was underwater and unable to exert any strength, otherwise he could have easily pierced through it.

Sensing the sea monster beside him retreat, Jack looked up at the water.

"It's you again, you little rascal."

Jack began to speak.

The fish-man bloodline allows him to breathe freely underwater, which does not conflict with his characteristic as a Devil Fruit user who becomes weak upon contact with seawater.

In other words, at this moment, he was completely like a lamb to the slaughter.

Even so, Jack showed no sign of begging for mercy.

However, Kitahara Tsune's next move made Jack's eyes widen.

Kitahara Tsuneo slowly swam to his side and said, "I'm actually quite curious, how did you suddenly appear in Punk Hazard?"

Upon hearing Kitahara Tsune's words, Jack froze on the spot until he saw bubbles from breathing in his vision, at which point he snapped back to reality.

"Why can you talk underwater? Are you a fish-man too?"

Jack spoke, his voice filled with shock.

Kitahara Tsune smiled, not answering directly, but slowly said, "You should know Jin, right? He, like you, is one of the Three Calamities."

Jack frowned, unable to figure out what the man was trying to say. After a moment of silence, he simply nodded.

Kitahara Tsune smiled slightly and said, "As his colleague, you should know that his race once lived on the Red Earth Continent, a place known as the Kingdom of Gods."

Jack narrowed his eyes and said in a deep voice, "Enough with the nonsense, what exactly are you trying to say?"

"Jin is a Lunaria, so do you think that they are the only race in the divine realm of the Red Line?"

""

Upon hearing this, Jack's pupils shrank instantly.

He had never been interested in the convoluted details of history, but he knew that Jhin was a member of the Lunaria race and had been hunted down by the World Government.

At that moment, he suddenly felt that he had touched upon some historical truths.

The Lunaria race is being hunted down by the World Government, mostly because of the Void Century.

And the person in front of you is very likely a native of the Red Line.

Could this person also be related to the legendary, untold history of the last hundred years?

"Could it be that you are not human at all, but an ancient race that once lived on the Red Line?"

Jack, unusually calm, questioned her in a deep voice instead of getting angry.

Kitahara Tsune simply smiled faintly and remained silent.

Some things are better left unsaid; saying them outright makes them seem less real.

As expected, Jack was not annoyed by Kitahara Tsune's silence; instead, they both fell silent.

Kitahara Tsune ignored him and grabbed the chains wrapped around Jack, swimming upwards.

The submarine that Caesar was piloting was already paralyzed and unable to move under the attack of the two sea monsters.

Inside the submarine, Caesar was already terrified and curled up into a ball, transforming into a gas form.

"Help! Help me! It's leaking!"

Caesar kept banging on the tempered glass at the front of the submarine, trying to get Kitahara Tsune's attention.

With Kitahara Tsune's hearing, he naturally heard the cries for help coming from inside the submarine.

However, he did not rush to help immediately.

Given the quality of the submarine's materials, it won't be filled with seawater anytime soon.

Naturally, the first thing to do is to salvage the big guy, Jack.

Before going into the sea, he had already prepared the sea stone handcuffs, which were specially prepared for the two of them.

To be precise, the sea stone handcuffs were specifically prepared for Jack.

Caesar is not needed for the time being.

He wasn't a fish-man, so once he fell into the sea, he was basically doomed.

Kitahara Tsune used Ryuo to break the chains binding Jack and put Seastone handcuffs on his hands.

He gestured for the sea monster Kaku to carry Jack to the surface, while he swam to the disabled submarine beside him.

At this moment, half of the submarine was filled with seawater.

Caesar transformed into a cloud of gas, curling up in the empty space at the top of the submarine.

Upon seeing Kitahara Tsune's image on the screen inside the cabin, he immediately cried out urgently, "Major General Kitahara Tsune, please, have mercy and save me!"

"I will never betray the World Government again. I will serve you wholeheartedly and focus on developing weapons!"

But his shouts were useless; the submarine was sealed, and no sound could be heard from inside.

Kitahara Tsune only heard Caesar shouting inside the submarine, and assumed he was being cursed, so he didn't pay any attention.

As the seawater was about to fill the entire submarine, Kitahara Tsuneo covered his right hand with a strong Armament Haki and slammed his fist hard onto the submarine's hull.

Puff puff puff —

The remaining gas inside the submarine continued to billow out.

Caesar, who had transformed into a gas form, was forced to revert to human form.

Surrounded by seawater, he was powerless and unable to struggle. He didn't even have time to breathe and collapsed at the bottom of the submarine.

Caesar still had a sliver of consciousness. Looking at the submarine's steel plates being violently breached, he could only silently pray that he could hold on until the end.
