HP: Wizards at Hogwarts

"Eleven, I can't believe you went to Hufflepuff."

Elaine was halfway through his meal when he heard Harry's voice behind him.

He turned around and saw that Harry had somehow appeared behind him.

The long tables in the dining hall are arranged in the following order from left to right: Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw.

So even though Elaine and Harry and the others didn't eat at the same table, they could still sit close together.

Elaine shrugged: "There's nothing we can do about it. Blame the Sorting Hat."

Sorting Hat: ? ? Speak up for me!!

Harry was accompanied by Ron and the Weasley twins, but Ron didn't seem to want to say anything.

"Eleven, George and I have a question for you: what's it like wielding the Gryffindor sword?"

"Does it give you that... feeling of being possessed by Gryffindor, able to defeat an entire army with a single sword strike?"

What Gryffindor possession? What 'one sword repels a thousand troops'?!

What do you guys think that is?!

Elaine couldn't help but feel embarrassed, but he still seriously considered the question between the two: "Well... I don't think there's anything special about it, but I've never held a sword before, so I can't compare."

"Maybe next time, I'll steal it for you guys to play with next time!"

Elaine regretted it as soon as he said it.

He just put the sword in upside down. If he were to take the sword out on his own, wouldn't he be digging his own grave?

The twins didn't care about any of that; they were overjoyed to hear Elaine's generosity.

"Okay, okay..."

"Then it's settled!"

Before long, everyone had eaten their fill.

Dumbledore stood up, and the dining room quickly returned to silence.

Elaine then noticed that his belly seemed to be a size bigger than when they first met a little over a month ago.

You had a satisfying meal tonight, didn't you, Old Deng?

"Oh, now that everyone has eaten and drunk their fill, I'd like to say a few more words."

"At the beginning of the semester, I would like to point out a few things to everyone."

"Attention first-year students: Students are strictly prohibited from entering the wooded areas on campus. Some of our homeroom teachers should also remember this."

As Dumbledore spoke, his gaze first swept over the Weasley twins, then fell on Elaine, who was sitting next to them, and his vision went black.

Dumbledore felt his heart pounding so hard he couldn't even imagine what would happen at Hogwarts this year.

Elaine chuckled softly.

Elaine immediately nudged a Hufflepuff classmate next to him with his elbow.

Hufflepuff's classmate: "Uh... Professor Dumbledore said 'Don't go in,' right? Am I hearing things?"

Indeed, the young wizards of Hufflepuff are all very innocent.

He would rather suspect that there was something wrong with his ears than suspect that the problem was with Elaine!

"You must have misheard!"

"Professor Dumbledore meant we should go check out the right-hand corridor on the fourth floor!"

The Weasley twins said it with utmost seriousness.

Harry and Ron behind them: "..."

The little badger isn't very bright to begin with, and you guys keep teasing him. Are you even human?!

"What time should we meet tonight?"

The twins had never seen such a compatible pair of people before, and they wished the three of them could sleep side by side tonight.

Unfortunately, they were destined to be disappointed.

"This isn't urgent..."

Elaine yawned as he spoke.

Seeing this, the Weasley twins instinctively yawned as well.

Harry, Ron, and the little badger next to them couldn't help but yawn.

Then the group looked at each other and laughed in unison.

"See? Everyone's been traveling all day and is exhausted. Let's call it a night and reschedule for another day."

The two brothers couldn't help but shout.

Elaine was speechless: "I just got here! At least give me some time to get the dorm sorted out."

"I'll think about going out at night after I've gotten used to the school environment in the next couple of days."

Upon hearing this, the twins realized that Elaine's words made sense, and they had no choice but to give up in disappointment.

"Alright then, let's reschedule for another day."

Harry and Ron, who were standing nearby, finally breathed a sigh of relief when they heard the three of them give up their idea.

They were genuinely worried that Elaine would be corrupted as soon as he arrived.

After Dumbledore finished speaking, the prefects led the young wizards to their respective dormitories.

At Hogwarts, each house has a prefect and a prefect for the fifth, sixth, and seventh years.

However, the task of leading the new students is usually only assigned to the two prefectural leaders of the fifth grade.

Firstly, these two prefectural leaders have just taken office and need to hone their leadership skills;

Secondly, there weren't many people who actually needed directions on site—only first-year students, as the upperclassmen already knew where the dormitories were.

As for the third, the four senior prefects need to keep an eye on the remaining students to prevent them from sneaking off to go on dates with their partners or going out at night.

During the event, the two fifth-grade prefects, who seemed easy to get along with, introduced themselves to everyone.

The man's name is Lance, and the woman's name is Windsor.

The entrance to the Hufflepuff common room is right next to the kitchen. No password is needed to enter the dormitory, but a special method is required.

Lance led the first-year students to a corner of the corridor where a pile of wooden barrels was stacked.

"The way to enter the common room is to tap a wooden barrel in a certain rhythm."

"Right here, in the middle of the second row from the bottom, tap along the rhythm of 'Hel, Ga, He, Qi, Patch'."

"If you tap the wrong spot or the wrong rhythm, you'll get covered in vinegar!"

He then demonstrated it carefully, and the entrance to the lounge suddenly opened with a "snap".
