HP: Wizards at Hogwarts

Upon arriving at the Hufflepuff table, Elaine found that all the first-year students from the school had arrived.

It's normal for everyone to be excited since it's the first day of school.

However, some people don't seem to be so relaxed.

Hannah Abbott and Susan Bornes, who were sitting opposite Elaine and her two companions, were not in a good mood.

Good morning, Hannah and Susan.

"You all look exhausted. Didn't you sleep well last night?"

Hannah and Susan were both little girls with long blonde hair, but the former had two braids tied at the back of her head and was thinner, while the latter had a single ponytail and was plumper.

The two girls were clearly surprised that Elaine would take the initiative to talk to them.

"Uh... Good morning, Elaine."

"You actually knew about us?"

In their eyes, Elaine had already become a prominent figure in the school after delivering such a long and impassioned speech at the Sorting Ceremony last night and then drawing the Gryffindor sword.

Based on his style of doing things, he is very likely to gain Dumbledore's attention in the future, receive special training from Hogwarts, be directly admitted to the Ministry of Magic after graduation, and then climb to the top within a few years to become a big figure who influences the wizarding world.

If someone like him were to remember any first-year wizards, it would be someone of Harry Potter's caliber, not two little Hufflepuff girls.

"Of course I know you!"

"Although we haven't spoken before, you were the first two students whose names were called during last night's sorting ceremony."

"I'm sure that besides Harry and me, you guys are definitely on the list of first-year students that the older wizards remember!"

Both women were stunned by Elaine's words.

Although this statement sounds a bit strange, it doesn't seem to make any logical mistakes.

In any list, the first and last names are always the easiest to remember.

"Okay, maybe it's really as you say."

"You two seem to be in a bad mood. Did something happen?"

While offering words of concern, Elaine began looking for food on the table.

The breakfast Hogwarts prepared for the young wizards consisted of simple foods like milk, bread, ham, sausage, and pies. It was simple, but at least it wasn't as bad as one might imagine.

"It's not really that troublesome, it's just..."

Susan looked around and subconsciously lowered her voice: "As you probably already know, we have two potions classes this morning."

"I know."

Elaine nodded; he had probably already guessed why the two young wizards were in a bad mood.

Sure enough, Susan's next sentence confirmed his guess.

"Do you know who the professor who teaches us is?"

Justin, who was standing nearby, immediately said, "I know, it seems to be Professor Snape, Severus Snape. I heard he's also the head of Slytherin."

"That's him!"

At this point, a look of fear appeared on Susan's chubby face. "He was known as the most dreadful, gloomy, evil, biased, and inhuman professor at Hogwarts."

"I never imagined that our first lesson after arriving at Hogwarts would be his, and it was even two consecutive periods."

"This is a nightmare!"

Justin felt a chill run down his spine at Susan's words: "Aren't you overthinking it? Maybe Professor Snape isn't as scary as the rumors say?"

"No, I think Susan's concerns are valid."

Ernie retorted, "Before I came to Hogwarts, my parents told me to be careful of Professor Snape."

"They say that Professor Snape is very biased towards his own students and very hostile towards Gryffindor students."

"They also said that although I am a pure-blood, my personality might not be sorted into Slytherin—and they were right—if that's the case, I should try to avoid Gryffindor and go to Hufflepuff instead."

At this point, Ernie sighed, "I followed their decision and came to Hufflepuff, but I still couldn't escape it..."

Justin's face began to turn pale. He quickly picked up the milk in front of him and took a sip to calm his nerves.

"That's what every wizard who comes to the Leaky Cauldron says."

Hannah said with a worried look, "My father is the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, so I've seen and talked with many wizards since I was a child."

"Every time I ask them, 'Which professor at Hogwarts is the best?' I get a variety of answers; but when I ask them, 'Which professor is the worst?' I always get the answer, 'Snape!'"

Justin's hand trembled, and the spoon immediately fell into the bowl with a crisp sound.

"So... what will he do to us?"

No one can answer this question.

The group all looked up at Elivin, hoping to get some help from him.

In their view, Elaine's ability to pull out the Gryffindor sword meant he must possess considerable skill to deal with the evil Snape.

Elaine gave the group a reassuring smile.

"Don't be nervous."

"Don't forget, I'm the one who pulled out the sword of Gryffindor!"

"Even if Professor Snape were to target Hufflepuff, he would definitely target me first!"

"I'm not panicking, so why are you all panicking?"

That's right!

The four of them suddenly realized.

"Merlin's beard!"

"I completely forgot about that!!"

"Elevit is right, we are safe!"

Snape targeting Gryffindor + Elaine drawing the Gryffindor sword = Snape targeting Elaine!

How come I never thought of such a simple logical reasoning before?!

The four of them felt much more at ease immediately.

But then they became worried about Elaine's situation.

"But...but...wouldn't that put you in considerable danger?!"

"That's the most terrifying professor at Hogwarts!"

"Eleven, aren't you afraid?"

"How about... how about you take a sick day this morning? If Professor Snape really intends to attack Hufflepuff, I... we'll help you out!"

Wow~

That's a true friend, brother!

"Take sick leave? Hah..."

"Don't forget, although I'm now a Hufflepuff student, I'm also a wizard who has received the Gryffindor sword 'Certification of Courage'!"

"Should I avoid his sharp edge?"

Elaine let out a contemptuous laugh.

"You guys just need to wait and watch the show."

"Snape is nothing to me; I can easily handle him!"
