I train Batman in a horror world

Chapter 23: Strange Events

The sky over Gotham was overcast.

The hazy clouds gathered haphazardly, as if discussing with each other when they would finally unleash this seemingly torrential downpour.

After the blatant shooting at the Gotham Police Department, Alfred immediately escorted Bruce away.

Easily evading the group of reporters who seemed like madmen, the butler successfully led the silent young master back to the car.

Without hesitation, the butler immediately drove the vintage car away from the Gotham Police Department.

During this time, his young master didn't say a word, which made Alfred a little worried.

He feared that such a change would cause the young master to lose all the little bit of health he had managed to recover.

Alfred's gaze fell on the figure in the rearview mirror, and he asked with concern:

"Are you alright, Master Bruce?"

"I'm fine, Afu."

Bruce shook his head; the boy's expression was calmer than he had expected.

Indeed.

Joe Chir, the murderer who killed his parents, met his end today.

This was a sudden and unexpected turn of events.

No one expected it.

But Bruce found that his ability to accept things was, for the first time ever, surprisingly... strong?

Bruce wondered if it was because he had been immersed in the world of The Shining.

Or perhaps Fowler had actually warned him about it a long time ago.

He was not too surprised by Joe Chil's death.

in contrast.

What truly triggered his frantic thinking was Fowle's words.

"Gotham condoned everything that happened."

Gotham condoned his parents' improvements to the city, and then Gotham condoned their deaths.

Gotham condoned Joe Chil's actions, and then Gotham condoned his death.

It's like an entity that's indifferent to everything.

It just watched everything happen and end.

They were so indifferent.

This is simply...

Bruce lowered his head, and his small hands, which were hanging on his knees, suddenly exerted force, squeezing his silky pants into a ball.

He suddenly couldn't quite define what the emotions rising in his heart were.

Is it anger?

Or is it... fear?

"This brings us back to our old question, Bruce, what's our next step?"

The most annoying thing is that Fu opened his mouth.

He said, "If you want to start training now, of course you can, even in front of Alfred, but you know, you have to broaden your thinking."

"The next world won't be as easy as The Shining."

"You need to prepare in advance."

Bruce sighed. "Why do you always seem to bring up the wrong topic at the wrong time?"

Foul ran his hands over his head, a smug look on his face. "I call this training your impromptu judgment. Be grateful to me, kid!"

Bruce rolled his eyes. "Let's go back and see who's invading Wayne Manor."

......

Alfred is an experienced driver.

His car was both fast and stable.

Just as Bruce was about to begin another round of thinking, the butler had already driven the car back to Wayne Manor.

"We're home, young master."

"So fast?"

Bruce had just come to his senses when he heard the scream of the wicked bat.

"Your car tires ran over my face! How could you drive like that?!"

"???"

Bruce got out of the car and saw Foll rubbing his face with his little paws, muttering curses.

Alfred explained, "He got out of the car in such a hurry that it wasn't my fault."

"..."

Bruce rubbed his face, just like Fowler.

He felt that this explanation seemed completely unnecessary...

Not long after they returned to Wayne Manor, a gentle voice suddenly rang in their ears.

"Hooray! Young Master is back! I did it! I did it!"

"Hey! What have you done?!"

The hotel, or rather, the bat cave.

It told the group of people who had just returned home how, after they left, a foolish fellow broke into the manor and then touched and groped its body.

They make it sound like she's some virgin who's been defiled.

"He first ran to the young master's bedroom, then the bathroom... and then..."

"He's been to every corner of the estate..."

As he spoke, a tiny, rice-grain-sized object floated in front of Bruce.

Bruce took it, asking in a puzzled tone, "What's this?"

Both blessings responded to him at the same time.

Bad Fortune said, "This looks like rat droppings, but of course it wasn't me. I'm a good rat; why would I poop and pee anywhere?"

Haofu said, "It looks like some kind of hidden camera..."

Let's set aside the "protesting too much" argument for now.

Bruce believed he could still tell whose information was more useful.

Bruce then asked, "And where is he?"

"In the study."

Bruce didn't hesitate and immediately followed the instructions from the Batcave to go to the study inside the manor.

Upon entering the study.

Aside from the wall entirely made of books, there is another thing that stands out.

It was a dark figure who had fallen unconscious.

The other person was completely covered from head to toe in black clothing, making it impossible to see their true face.

"Who is he?" Bruce asked, frowning.

"It looks like a ninja army from Jackie Chan Adventures," Foll said.

"Who is this?! Wait, that's not important at all, just shut up!"

Bruce realized what was happening, pointed at Fowler and berated him, then turned to the Batcave and asked:

Do you know who he is?

"I don't know!"

Bruceston was feeling exhausted, so what was with Batcave's cheerful tone?

He turned to look at the silent butler, Alfred, trying to find some answers in his face.

But the butler's head-shaking quickly calmed his mind.

At this moment, Foul, who had just been scolded, said:

"I know, I really know!"

"If you keep rambling on, I'm never talking to you again!"

Foul grunted twice, came up to the unconscious stranger, and deliberately spread his wings as if he were introducing some product.

"This guy looks like he's part of the Shadow Warriors Alliance!"

"The Shadow Warriors?" Bruce asked, puzzled.

Then Batcave spoke up: "Oh right, he also has another name in his memory, something like Lord Raishogu."

Bruce was puzzled: "Didn't you say you didn't know?!"

"But he really doesn't have a name."

"I..." Bruce choked up.

He felt that sooner or later, he would be driven crazy by Fore and the Batcave.

Bruce ignored Fowler's act of clapping his hands at thin air.

He said to the Bat Cave, "What else did you learn from his memories? Answer truthfully."

Bat Cave replied, "In this guy's memory, he received instructions from Reixiaogu to specifically monitor you, young master, but he knows nothing else."

"..." Bruce frowned and began to think.

At this point, Fore dropped an even bigger bombshell.

"Spying on my bat cub? It's Reshogu again... Uh, why does this plot feel a bit like Nolan's... Maybe he's here to test whether your ideas are similar to your father's!"

"My father?" Bruce was even more confused.

He felt he had too many things to think about.

First, there's Gotham, the most important one; then there's Reshogu, to whom this person belongs; and then Foul suddenly mentions his father.

Bruce noticed that Alfred beside him hadn't said much.

Feeling curious, he looked at the butler.

"Alfred, what's wrong?" Bruce noticed that Alfred was lost in thought.

"I'm here, sir." Alfred snapped out of his reverie. "I've remembered the strange things that happened to Master Thomas."
