I train Batman in a horror world
Chapter 3: Ways to Overcome Fear
After the funeral, Bruce felt he had shed all the tears he had ever shed in his life.
From today onwards, he will never again be as cowardly as before, becoming a little child who only knows how to cry all day long!
He swore an oath in Wayne's name.
I will definitely overcome my fear!
Bruce actually had some other ideas about the city of Gotham.
He felt that if he couldn't even overcome his most basic fears, how could he talk about his future plans?
With this in mind, Bruce stopped his butler, Alfred, from accompanying him.
He had a premonition.
An inexplicable premonition.
That was the bat named Holmes, waiting for him in his room!
Arriving at his room door, Bruce looked around to make sure no one was there before carefully pushing the door open.
As soon as the door opened.
as predicted!
The talking bat sat on its desk, as if it had anticipated that it would return to its room!
Upon first seeing itself, the bat mysteriously said:
"You've arrived."
"Yes, I'm here." Bruce nodded, though he found it strange.
The bat spoke again:
"You shouldn't have come."
"I...wait?! What are you talking about? You were the one who stayed in my room, and you were the one who came to me. What do you mean I shouldn't have come?!"
"You ruined the damn atmosphere!" Foll said, looking dejected.
Bruce grimaced, unable to understand what the other person meant.
But recalling the bat's earlier words...
What you hear is your own expectation, which will help you overcome your fear and make you the greatest master of fear in history.
Bruce didn't believe a word of these words.
That sounds like something you'd say to fool a child!
Even so, Bruce still took the initiative to ask:
"What did you mean by what you said before?"
"Literally, it means helping you overcome your fear!"
Foul flew familiarly onto Bruce's shoulder, who inevitably flinched, and then heard Foul curse:
"You're all talk and no action. You said so much about not being afraid anymore, but the moment I get close, you're scared?"
"I'm not scared!" Little Bruce's face was flushed with two rosy cheeks, making him look adorable.
Seemingly to ascertain his stance, he moved his handsome face a little closer to Fowler.
Foul snorted, "Coward!"
"I don't... never mind, anyway, I'm not one."
Bruce found it difficult to gain the upper hand in his conversation with the bat.
The whole process felt like being led by the nose by the other party.
He clearly had many questions he wanted to ask, such as who I really am, why I could eavesdrop on my thoughts, and why I came to him.
Now, both I and this bat are stuck wondering whether I chickened out or not!
Isn't this ridiculous?!
He needs to learn how to take control of the conversation!
Thinking of this, Little Bruce spoke up:
"First question, who exactly are you? Don't play word games with me, you know what I'm talking about!"
"..."
Fowle stared at Bruce for a moment, then blinked.
That smug look does seem a bit convincing, but it would be even more perfect if the snot were wiped out.
Foul thought to himself, then spoke:
"As you can see, a bat named Ful, who died in a truck, has been reborn as a bat, and will grant your wish and help you..."
"stop!"
Bruce snapped, annoyed, "Can't you speak properly?!"
Foul clicked his tongue: "Can't you ask your questions properly?"
"Why didn't I ask some proper questions!?"
"How many times have I told you? I am Sherlock Holmes! A bat! I'm here to grant your wish and help you overcome your fear! I'll ask you one more time, did I make myself clear?!"
"......"
Bruce took a deep breath and realized that the control of the conversation had unknowingly returned to the other party's hands.
Just as I was about to speak, I heard the other person say this:
"If you heard me clearly, then answer 'I received it'! Did I make myself clear!?"
"It wasn't you!"
Bruce was so angry he was speechless.
He found it very difficult to keep up with the other person's train of thought!
Bruce then forcefully raised a second question:
"My second question is, you said you'd help me overcome my fear, how do you do that?"
"..."
Fol remained silent, only glancing at him sideways.
Bruce frowned, then, remembering something, sighed and said weakly.
"I received it."
"Hmm, that's more like it."
Bruce clenched his fists at Bruce's apparent eagerness to learn.
"The best way to overcome fear is to face it head-on," Fowler said.
Bruce then asked, "How exactly do you intend to confront it?"
Folke replied, "I'll take you to other worlds to confront different fears."
Bruce looked puzzled: "Other worlds?"
He didn't quite understand what the bat meant.
Facing your fears head-on is indeed a good approach.
But to other worlds?
Thinking this way.
Bruce noticed that Fowle had somehow unfurled a pair of nimble wings.
The unfolding of the other's wings was like the red curtain being drawn back before a performance begins in a theater.
The scene inside the room changed drastically in an instant!
Countless bubbles floated in the air, emitting colorful and dazzling light, like stars.
And from within these bubbles, strangely dressed figures emerge...
"what!"
Bruce suddenly covered his eyes with his hands, as if he had been startled by something!
The little brat's shouting immediately caught Foul's attention.
Upon closer inspection, he discovered that Freddy Krueger from "A Nightmare on Elm Street" had frightened the famous Batman (the eight-year-old version).
"You're scared by a disfigured face?" Foul asked, puzzled.
"This guy is a monster!" Bruce exclaimed, his face flushed with embarrassment and anger.
He was equally dissatisfied with his performance just now.
He was terrified just from a rotten face smiling at him!
Foul comforted him, "Don't worry, there are plenty of mud-covered humanoid monsters waiting for you later, he's nothing!"
"..."
Bruce forced himself to stop imagining the image that Foll had described.
However, the clever man quickly figured out what the bat meant.
Bruce asked, "You mean, I'm going to go into the world of these monsters and confront them head-on!?"
Foul replied matter-of-factly, "Yeah, what's wrong? Are you scared again?"
"I'm not scared!" Bruce shouted hastily, "But the problem is I'm only eight years old!"
Fol said, "So what if he's eight? You have to build a solid foundation from a young age, don't you know that?"
Bruce rolled his eyes at the other party's sophistry.
What can an eight-year-old child actually do?
He was perfectly clear about it!
"Oh!" the bat suddenly cried out.
Foul whispered in Bruce's ear, "Not interested in any of this? How about I have you review it again... huh?!"
Bruce was stunned at first, then he was so angry that he trembled all over!
"Get out of here!"
"Just kidding, how could I be so wicked? I'm your good fortune!"
"roll!!!"
