Crossing the true dragon realm, and you call me Little Locke?
Chapter 9 Communication
"Boom! Boom!"
A clap of thunder on the hillside startled Violet awake from her nap in a tree below.
Like Elliott, she also transformed into a female ranger.
Hearing the thunder, she looked up at the sky and saw blue skies, white clouds, and a gentle breeze.
"Is it them?"
Violet immediately thought of Shuoyang and Elliott.
After all, they all possess lightning-fast breath.
Although they held different beliefs, they were, after all, her brothers, and Violet valued family and friendship more than the other bronze dragons.
So she immediately jumped down from the tree, transformed into a giant dragon in mid-air, and flew towards the place where the thunder was heard.
The sail-like wings billowed in the strong wind.
As a metal dragon, Violet, unlike Shuoyang, does not rely entirely on the dragon ball in her brain to fly.
But given her weight and wing-to-body ratio, her ability to fly must also involve magic, which is why she flies extremely fast.
With a dexterity that defied her own body shape, she cut through the clouds like a swift.
In the blink of an eye, it flew to the top of the hillside.
But to her surprise, neither Shuoyang nor Elliott were on the hillside.
There was only a group of oddly shaped yellow sheep and a little blue devil with short horns and yellow crescent-shaped hair.
And those charred goblin corpses.
Violet was filled with doubt upon seeing this.
She looked at the flock of harmless little lambs and the little guy who had a devilish appearance but no trace of evil.
She asked the same question as Elliott, "What are all these things?"
Unfortunately, Shuoyang wasn't there to answer her questions and tell her that these were all electric-type spirits.
The one that looks like a sheep is Electric Mimi, and the one that looks like a little devil is Rat.
Meanwhile, Electric Sheep and Rat on the hillside saw her flying towards them menacingly.
The electric sheep, who had just been startled by the goblins, huddled together in a ball.
Only Rattle flew into the air, blocking Violet's path and confronting her.
Although the vast majority of Pokémon can fight and evolve by constantly battling.
But not all types of spirits love to fight.
Like these electric sheep, they hatched earlier than the guard dog and have even gathered in groups.
But like real sheep, they only know how to run away when faced with trouble.
If Rat hadn't protected them and rallied them to use ball lightning to retaliate, they would have been in serious trouble.
They might actually be scared away and end up getting caught in the goblin's trap.
Compared to them, Rat is the other extreme.
This sprite is like a smaller bronze dragon.
He has a strong sense of justice and will be extremely eager to help Locke and the elves when they encounter trouble.
They are also very combative; they are either fighting or on their way to a fight.
Facing Violet, who was dozens of times larger than him.
Undeterred, Rat revealed a defiant smile and slammed his small, ball-shaped fists together.
It emits crackling electric sparks.
But while it wanted to fight, Violet was unwilling to resort to violence.
After all, she only hated those races that were inherently evil; when facing kind races, her mind remained clear.
People like Rat stood up to protect the weak and faced powerful monsters head-on.
She not only had no reason to fight him, but also felt a rare sense of mutual respect for him.
So she explained softly, "Little one, don't misunderstand."
"I'm not on their side; are you protecting them?"
"Crackling?"
Rat scratched his head, somewhat puzzled.
Just like Adela, who easily gets close to elves because of her druidic aura.
Violet is a dragon of the deep sea and storms.
The magical radiation emanating from her body is also favored by water-type and electric-type spirits.
Therefore, seeing that she seemed to have no ill intentions, Rat quickly believed her.
When Violet noticed Elliot approaching, she transformed into a lark and hurriedly flew away.
Rat watched her retreating figure, his eyes full of curiosity. "Crack!?"
It hesitated for a moment, then followed in a flash of lightning.
After they left, Elliott, who had revealed his dragon form, and Adela, who had transformed into a peregrine falcon, arrived at this place.
They had also heard the thunder and thought there might be a battle between elves, so they rushed over.
"Sure enough," Elliott saw the group of electric sheep and the four charred goblin corpses.
He smiled at Adela and said, "Looks like you'll have to talk to that viper yourself."
"These rats are blind, daring to reach out and try to take advantage of the Agrippa elves."
But Adela ignored his teasing.
She transformed back into human form and counted the number of electric sheep.
"There are so many?" she exclaimed in surprise.
"I'll herd them all back up the mountain first!"
As she spoke, she released Guardian Dog and Skulldrae from the Poké Ball.
I briefly explained the situation to them and asked them to cooperate and assist.
"Woof! Woof!"
The protective dog happily agreed.
"Gurgle~!"
The giant skull dragon rubbed against Adela, unwilling to do it.
Seeing this, Adela stroked it and patiently asked, "You said they're afraid of you? And that they run away?"
"Goo goo ga~!"
The giant skull dragon responded, then lowered its head, as if annoyed at not being able to help.
"Don't be discouraged," Adela comforted it. "They're afraid of you only because you're so powerful."
"Gurgle! Gurgle!"
The giant skull dragon immediately perked up and was quite easy to coax.
Elliott watched them communicate without any hindrance.
His large, dragon-like eyes were filled with doubt. "Are you communicating using animal language?"
"Why can't I understand what animals are saying when I try to communicate with them?"
Adela replied earnestly, "These elves have their own language, Master Elliott."
"You need to communicate with them using your heart, not magic."
Are you sure?
Elliott, however, was somewhat skeptical. He raised his paw and opened it.
In his claws was a water-attribute plate-like shell.
Its shape resembles a large, light blue turtle with two rabbit-ear-like antennae on its head, a milky-yellow nozzle on its dark green shell, and a tail that looks like seaweed.
After being caught by Elliott, the plate-shelled creature became somewhat flustered.
Elliott, on a whim, greeted him earnestly, "Hello! Little one!"
Looking at his sharp, fanged teeth and gaping maw, it seemed as if he could cut through metal and iron.
"Click-clack~!!!"
With a "whoosh," the shell retracted its bouncy head and feet back into the shell.
Upon seeing this, Elliott paused for a moment.
He then feigned indignation and accused Adela, "You were lying to me after all!"
"I'm going to tell Agrippa that you're incorrigible and a true green dragon."
Upon hearing this, Adela rolled her eyes. "Childish!"
Then, she worked with her guard dog to drive the pack of electric sheep towards the dragon's nest on the mountain.
And these electric sheep, under the watchful eye of their protective dog, possessed superb sheep-herding skills that were ingrained in their very blood.
They didn't resist at all, obediently following the commands of their guardian dog, and lined up to go up the mountain.
