I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts
Chapter 177 Potter's Day
Chapter 177 A Day in Potter's Life
This is a hidden quest; the reward for correcting the timeline of Meow Planet is the spirits of six thousand old Imperial Guard soldiers.
Includes a live Nashville cat.
Catherine was in a bad mood after returning to the main world and stayed in seclusion with Ye Ziyan for a long time.
Then, a single sentence from Chromie nearly caused Louis to slam her against the ceiling.
The good news is, I can go home now.
The bad news is that I spent several days there and missed the Aluneth Trial. The next one won't be until at least six months later.
However, her little carrot legs moved quickly, and she managed to slip away before Louis could erupt.
Frustrated, Louis had no choice but to stay in Greenland for a few more days, treating it as a chance to explore the world's magnificent landscapes.
To be honest, Greenland is definitely a great place to escape the summer heat.
Accompanying him was Napoleon the Cat.
Because he didn't look like a normal human being, Chromie deliberately threw several Deception Orbs at Louis before running away. Now, under the influence of these Deception Orbs, Napoleon's appearance is quite similar to the handsome older man in the documentary.
In fact, Napoleon was not short. The "short man" in the saying "Only dwarfs, foreigners and women can save France" actually refers to the Sun King Louis XIV, not Napoleon.
Napoleon was a foreigner, after all, Corsica was an Italian island; the woman was Joan of Arc.
This statement is actually somewhat problematic, as the last man who saved France was a towering figure, standing at 1.98 meters tall.
After all, he's a man whose name contains the character for "tall."
"Greenland, I've heard of that place." Napoleon abandoned his military uniform and went to the mall with Louis to buy a very flashy modern outfit—this was his hobby, much like Liu Bei's, both of them loved fine food and clothes.
"Yeah, Denmark really got lucky," Louis said pointedly.
Even though France already boasted countless fancy delicacies in the early 19th century, Napoleon still felt somewhat surreal when faced with the food in a Greenland diner.
"In less than two hundred years, the world has developed into this state?" Napoleon exclaimed sincerely after a hearty meal and drinks.
Of course, he might also have been cooped up on St. Helena Island.
During this time, many people came to take photos with Napoleon, and even though everyone thought he was a Napoleon impersonator, he was still very happy.
But then Catherine's words broke Napoleon's defenses.
People always sympathize with losers.
"What failure? How can you slander me like this?" Napoleon urgently defended himself.
"But I saw with my own eyes you get thoroughly thrashed by the Duke of Wellington at Waterloo," Catherine continued, displaying her sharp tongue.
Napoleon's face flushed red, veins bulging on his forehead, and he argued vehemently, "What failure? Can it be called failure when your subordinates are incompetent?" What followed were incomprehensible words, such as Grouchy misled him and Ney was a brute, which made everyone laugh, and the dinner table was filled with a joyful atmosphere for a moment.
After being repaired by the system, Napoleon's health was quite good. His old ailments were gone, and due to the system's contract, Napoleon was now considered his subordinate.
This made Louis feel as if his face was magnified infinitely in a limited space, like the bed his nephew William had peed on.
"Have you thought about what you'll do in the future?" Louis asked.
"I haven't thought it through." Napoleon was indeed a bit confused. After six years of exile on St. Helena, he was no longer the same as when he was young. Now that he had shed his heavy responsibilities, he was tired, or to put it simply, he had become indifferent.
"Why don't you come and teach at our school?" Louis suddenly asked.
"Teaching?" Napoleon's interest was piqued. "You mean, teaching at your wizarding academy? I'd be quite interested in seeing a different world."
"If you're interested, I can teach you some witchcraft."
Louis glanced at it and said that it would take one hundred points of energy to unlock Napoleon's wizarding abilities.
That's too easy. The money comes from the sheep itself. He went to Waterloo and gained more than 10,000 hearts.
There's simply not enough money to spend it all.
Napoleon was even more delighted: "I can...you mean me, I can learn..."
"Shh." Louis gestured for him to keep his voice down, there were so many people around.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Napoleon then realized the problem, and then said softly, "Can I learn that too?"
Louis nodded and said, "But the most urgent thing is to get you a legal identity."
Obtaining legal status is easy, of course. His aunt has some power; it's just a matter of a word.
However, this matter is truly somewhat surreal. Granting the Emperor of the French Empire British citizenship is comparable to sending the Lion King to live as an ordinary wolf in a wolf pack.
After spending three days in Greenland, the group finally embarked on their journey back home.
It is worth mentioning that ever since Napoleon read French history, he had been depressed. He never dreamed that France would become such a wicked country a hundred years after his death.
The milk has arrived, family members.
Leaving aside Lewis, let's talk about Potter, the boy who miraculously survived. For example, his most hated time of the year was summer vacation because every summer he had to leave his beloved school and go home to face the Dursleys.
For example, he genuinely wants to do his homework, but he is always forced to do it secretly late at night. Based on last year's experience, he would still be huddled under the covers at this time, doing his homework by the light of a flashlight.
This makes the already nearsighted eyes even worse.
The Dursleys, who lived at number four Privet Drive, were the reason Harry could never have a proper summer vacation. Last summer, the thing they did most was lock up Harry's spellbook, wand, cauldron, and flying broom at the start of summer vacation and forbid him from talking to the neighbors.
But ever since Louise and Diana visited last year, the Dursleys' attitude towards him has completely changed. Uncle Vernon even renovated his room inside and out while he was at school. This summer, when he came home, they not only didn't treat him the same way as last year, but were extremely enthusiastic towards him.
This was a bit unfamiliar to Harry; he wasn't being cheeky, he just simply felt uncomfortable.
If possible, he... well, never mind, it's best not to let the Dursleys return to their unruly ways.
He was sitting at his desk, enjoying the fruit and snacks his Aunt Penny had cut for him, while intently working on his Potions class homework.
The teachers at Hogwarts assigned a huge amount of homework to the students, especially Professor Snape, who assigned them a pile of papers with a stern face. The most annoying one was the paper he was currently working on about the shrinking potion, which he really didn't want to write if he could.
He repeatedly emphasized to himself that it wasn't that he disliked doing homework, but rather that the homework Snape assigned was something that no humanoid creature could possibly produce.
Uncle Vernon, who once loathed the wizarding world to the extreme, now seems to have made a complete 180-degree turn. After all, Louis has given him so much; just by talking, he has made his company earn at least several million pounds more each year.
He now practically worships Harry. What's that saying? It's better to be good at strategizing than good at fighting. Although it's a game, the same principle applies to life. Harry is truly fortunate to have a good friend who can help him in every way.
Ron hadn't called for several days. Harry knew this. The last time they spoke, Ron had told Harry that the Weasleys had won the Moonberry Workshop lottery and were planning a family trip to Egypt. Harry offered his heartfelt congratulations, secretly envying the Weasleys' family bond.
Interestingly, when Uncle Vernon first received Ron's call, his expression was quite strange. When he called Harry, he covered the receiver and asked Harry with a puzzled look, "You guys... um, you wizards use telephones too?"
Harry spent a long time explaining to him before Uncle Vernon understood that the wizarding world wasn't so rigid after all.
The room was quiet, save for the faint snoring of Uncle Vernon downstairs and Cousin Dudley next door. He glanced out the window; it was late, and the stars twinkled in the night sky. He capped the ink bottle, tidied up his things and put them on the bookshelf, stood up, stretched, and glanced at the time displayed on the luminous clock beside his bed.
It was one in the morning when Harry realized that he had turned thirteen just an hour earlier.
I almost forgot about this big day.
Harry rarely looked forward to his birthday, which was another difference between him and other children. He had never received a birthday card, and the Dursleys completely ignored his birthdays for the past two years.
Standing by the window, gazing at the star-studded sky, he absentmindedly drifted into a daze. In the quiet of the night, he would always think of his parents, whom he had never met.
Soon, he noticed something was wrong. In the golden moonlight, a strange, twisted, dark shape was flying towards Harry, growing larger and larger. Harry stood there motionless, watching it fly lower and lower. He hesitated for a moment, grabbing the window latch, wondering if he should close the window. But when the strange thing flew above a lamppost on Privet Drive, Harry could see what it was and quickly made way for it.
Three owls flew in through the window, two of them protecting the third, which seemed to be unconscious. They landed with a thud on Harry's bed, the middle gray owl tumbling headfirst onto the bed and lying motionless. Harry noticed a large bundle tied to its leg.
He quickly recognized the owl as Errol, the old owl from the Weasleys' house. No wonder it looked drunk; you can't expect an old guy to be as fit as a young man, can you?
He immediately rushed to the bedside, untied the bundle from Errol's legs, and put him in Hedwig's cage. Errol didn't even open his eyes, drank a few mouthfuls of water haphazardly, ate a couple of mouthfuls of food, and then made a sound that sounded like gratitude.
The other two owls, one being his Hedwig and the other a beautiful tawny owl, revealed their origin to him from the package tied to its leg and the Hogwarts seal on the letter. After taking the mail, the owl pecked Harry and flapped its wings before flying away.
After the owl flew away, Harry grabbed the package Errol had brought, tore open the brown paper, and saw a gift wrapped in gold paper. This was the first time in his life he had received a birthday card. Harry's hands trembled slightly. He opened the envelope, and two pieces of paper fell out: a letter and a newspaper clipping.
In the newspaper photos, the family looked extremely happy, especially Ron, who was holding the mouse, as if afraid others wouldn't know he had a pet mouse, lifting Scabbers high in the air.
He opened the letter again, which contained a rambling account of Ron's travel experiences. It was both rambling and heartwarming. Harry read the letter with a smile, genuinely happy for his good brother.
The other package was from Hermione. The letter said that she was traveling in France and happened to run into Miss Helix. Unfortunately, she couldn't make an international call to him. She saw Hedwig and wrote him a letter, and also said that she had sent him a small gift.
Harry opened the package, which contained a flying broom repair tool and a "Flying Broom Care Manual" as a bonus.
The last package was from Hagrid. Hagrid wasn't much of a talker, but Harry could still feel his care for him. Enclosed with the package was a strange-looking monster book. Before Harry knew it, the book slipped from his grasp, stood up like some oddly shaped crab, and raced along the edge of the bed.
Harry's momentary daze was short-lived; with surprising agility, he quickly tied the book up and stuffed it back into his pocket.
The last letter was from Hogwarts, and it was thicker than the previous ones. Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that there was a signature sheet underneath.
"On certain weekends, third-year students are permitted to visit Hogsmeade Village. Please have your parent or guardian sign the enclosed consent form."
Harry's smile grew even brighter. Hogsmeade Village was truly wonderful... He had heard so much about this magical village and had long wanted to go there.
He glanced at the time; it was 2 a.m. ... Oh well, he'd deal with the autograph thing tomorrow after Aunt Penny and the others woke up.
Thinking of this, he was about to turn over and get into bed when he noticed another white figure flying in from the distant horizon.
As he flew closer, Harry recognized her; it was Emerys of Louise.
Emerys, with a human touch and utter disdain, tossed a letter aside and flew away haughtily.
Harry shrugged, already aware of Amory's bad temper, and didn't care much. He picked up Louis's letter.
It was a birthday greeting, and he was told that he planned to attend his birthday party. He was also asked to return the call after he woke up if possible. The letter included Louis's home phone number.
