I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts

Chapter 194 That Quidditch Match

Chapter 194 That Quidditch Match

People like Harry, who fall in love with someone as soon as they're confessed to, are usually single for too long.

We usually call it an illusion.

No amount of earnest advice is as effective as persuading him through actions.

Ron stood up and, at Louis's instruction, called Ginny over.

"Harry!" Ginny slammed one foot on the stool with an air of superiority. "Give me a straight answer: do you prefer Lavender Brown or me?"

Harry looked up at Ginny. Ginny was indeed very pretty, and she was still growing prettier.

But now is not the time to consider who is prettier. Ginny is holding her wand and doesn't look too good either. Come to think of it, no one would be in a good mood if their home was raided.

Judging from her expression, if Harry dares to say no today, this is probably not a problem that can be solved by being smashed to pieces.

Harry, of course, chickened out quickly. Normally, he would have ended up with Ginny too, but now that process has just been accelerated.

"Of course it's you, Ginny," Harry said from the bottom of his heart, eliciting a cheer.

Draco, sitting in the Slytherin seat, didn't look very happy. He glared at Ginny and Harry through gritted teeth, unable to quite describe his feelings.

It's not that he actually likes Harry; in fact, Draco is straight. Maybe it's because he's jealous, or maybe everyone else is in a relationship and he's the only single guy, which is making him upset.

Having settled Harry's marriage prospects, Lewis lost interest in idly chatting and returned to his office. He'd only been gone a short while when several people arrived: Rita Skeeter, who wanted to interview Sirius and Lewis; and Xenophilius Lovegood, who also wanted to interview Sirius, as his Quibbler magazine needed some material to boost sales.

Ms. Skeeter's questions were ordinary, but direct and very probing, almost bringing up the very questions Sirius had repeatedly used to console himself in Azkaban. Mr. Lovegood, on the other hand, asked more challenging questions. As a self-proclaimed professional and conscientious journalist, he always had a strong sense of self-image, and he focused more on inquiring about Sirius's emotional journey, especially his feelings during the period when he learned of Peter's betrayal of the Potters.

Sirius was naturally in great pain; it was a memory he least wanted to face. But in order to clear his name and be able to stay by Harry's side, he had no choice but to endure the pain and reopen his wounds, recounting the events of that year to the two writers in detail.

The interview lasted the entire afternoon before the two writers finally left, satisfied. Sirius Black, seemingly relieved, slumped onto the sofa, his face a mixture of emptiness and confusion.

He is now contemplating life, wondering what the meaning of life is.

"Tell me, Louis, what is the purpose of life?" Sirius tilted his head, voicing the question that troubled him.

"So I can get some fries at the auditorium later," Louis replied instinctively.

Sirius shook his head and said very seriously, "No, Louis, I'm asking you very seriously. I'm thinking about what the meaning of life is..."

"So we can get some fries at the auditorium later," Louis said, picking up the fries Aslo had just brought and placing them on the coffee table in front of Sirius.

Sirius picked up a French fry, smeared some ketchup on it, and popped it into his mouth.

"Hmm..." He relaxed his brow and said with a smile, "You're right, it's just so we can get some fries in the auditorium later."

……

The next day, officials from the Ministry of Magic took Peter Pettigrew away, saying they were going to send him to Azkaban. But Louis knew perfectly well that for Peter, an Animagus, escaping from Azkaban would be a piece of cake.

But then again, the world always needs a Lich King, and the key is for Voldemort to be resurrected quickly and get rid of that piece of soul in Harry's head.

The good news is that Sirius Black's name has finally been cleared. The Ministry of Magic not only acknowledged his achievements but also awarded him the Order of Merlin, Second Class.

It can be considered a stroke of luck amidst misfortune.

At breakfast, Dumbledore announced that Hogwarts had officially accepted Sirius Black as a Defense Against the Dark Arts assistant, and the three houses erupted in enthusiastic applause.

Gryffindor believed that Sirius Black had been a member of Gryffindor throughout his time at Hogwarts, so it was only natural for them to welcome a member of Gryffindor.

Slytherins believed that Sirius Black's family was a pure-blood family, and even though he was in Gryffindor, he was still a true Slytherin at heart, so there was nothing wrong with them welcoming Black.

The Hufflepuffs considered Sirius Black's loyalty to James to be a model for them—and since Hufflepuff House is known for its loyalty, they believed that Sirius should share a strong common language with them.

As for Ravenclaw... as you know, Sirius's series of blunders can be described as being too clever for his own good, and the Ravenclaw hawks really despise him.

It's true that smart people don't get close to big, dumb dogs.

Sirius, unaware of the inside story, didn't feel particularly embarrassed. After all, he didn't think he was Galleon and couldn't be liked by everyone. At least for now, people from all three houses welcomed him, and that was enough.

But if he knew the truth that Takain didn't like him, he might be furious.

Today is a Quidditch match, which also happens to be Elizabeth's first game. To show his support for his cousin, Louis, for the first time ever, brought Catherine to the stands to watch the game.

This match is Gryffindor versus Slytherin, but from the perspective of audience support, it seems like the other three houses should be facing Slytherin.

I want to type three .jpg.

Because Slytherin's competitive style has a distinctly Korean flavor, Slytherin has never been considered very good by the other three houses.

The great 3D District newcomer, Song Hana, once said that the point of playing games is to win, and the Slytherin players largely share this mentality. While batters from other houses typically drive the run away from their own players, Slytherin batters generally aim the run at the opposing team.

It's as dirty as it gets.

Elizabeth, the epitome of concentrated essence, stood beside her towering teammates, looking like a chicken among cranes. Her two tiny legs were even shorter than the others' arms, and it took her two steps to take two steps for her teammates.

The onomatopoeia for other people's walking is "kua kua kua," but the onomatopoeia for her walking is "diu diu diu diu diu."

However, Quidditch doesn't consider height; it mainly focuses on flying skills.

As the first-year students stood among the Slytherin students, the Gryffindor players were reminded of that afternoon two years ago.

A little scarred boy named Harry, wearing glasses, burst into everyone's hearts. That year, they swept Slytherin, sending them to the losers' bracket with a score of 170-20.

Seeing Elizabeth's bewildered expression, the Gryffindors, for the first time ever, did not underestimate her.

George Weasley moved closer to Harry's left and whispered, "Harry, there's a genius who looks just like you."

"I heard her name is Elizabeth," Fred said, moving closer to Harry on the other side.

"Don't become her background figure," George quickly interjected.

Fred, not to be outdone, shouted in a rhythmic, almost hysterical tone, "Let's cheer each other on!"

"Alright, you two." Seventh-year captain Oliver Wood pulled the twins back forcefully, bringing them close to Harry's side.

"Harry, I need you to be on your toes in this match," Wood said in a low voice, glancing at the Slytherin players who seemed to be discussing tactics. He added, "If I'm not mistaken, that Slytherin rookie Seeker's vehicle is a Firebolt."

Harry's eyes widened. A fire bolt...

But thinking about it, it makes sense. After all, she's Louise's cousin, so she can't be short of money.

"I will, I want to win." Harry nodded cautiously. His godfather was sitting in the stands for this game. His father was the best Seeker in the school back in the day, and of course he didn't want to embarrass his father.

The Slytherin group was also comforting Elizabeth.

"How are you feeling? Nervous?" The question was asked by goalkeeper Miles Bletchley.

"I'm fine," Elizabeth said, but she didn't seem nervous at all.

Captain Marcus grinned broadly at his teammates and said, "Guys, it's Quidditch time again! I hope you guys can pull yourselves together and give those Gryffindors a good kick in the ass!"

"Kick their asses hard!" batter Peglin Derek chimed in with a chuckle.

Marcus smiled, and after a moment, whispered to Pederin, "If we're falling behind, I want you to keep an eye on the Gryffindor players, especially Angelina and Wood. Those two need to be closely watched..."

"Understood!" the two batters nodded in response.

Five minutes later, the two teams entered the field.

At the same time, a familiar voice rang out from the podium.

"Hello everyone, I'm Lee Jordan, the special commentator for this game. We also have a special guest commentating with me today, Ron Weasley!"

Good grief, how did Ron end up in the commentary booth?

"Thank you so much for the introduction, Lee Jordan, who introduced us with lightning speed and unwavering dedication. It's a great honor to be sitting in the commentary booth." Ron's voice rang out, his rapid speech and clear sentences instantly drawing everyone's attention.

This new commentator seems pretty good.

With Mrs. Hooch's whistle, the competition officially began.

"Alright, let's see. Oh, first up is Gryffindor, Angelina. She's dribbling the ball left and right like she's in an empty field. She's breaking through, but the Slytherin players are also on their way to intercept her. Oops... Graham and Cassius have Angelina sandwiched between them. She's really caught between two men..."

Lee Jordan was giving a rapid and passionate commentary. His fast pace made Ron, who had been watching the game intently, stop looking at the players and stare at him with his mouth agape, as if he were witnessing a miracle.

Only when you try it yourself do you know what level someone is really at.

Ron quickly got into the swing of things, picking up the microphone and cracking a joke: "Okay, I think Angelina is more like a sandwich right now, except she's the one being sandwiched... Oops, she's going to shoot... Hmm, a powerful shot, this ball hit a fan in the stands, let's see, Mrs. Pomfrey is up there, looks like that fan is in shock. I hope everyone will be more careful when shooting in the next game, hitting the spectators is one thing, but even hitting the flowers and plants is not good."

"Alright, now it's Slytherin's turn to counterattack. Their captain, Marcus, is leading the charge. The moment he gets the ball, he suddenly finds himself facing a completely flat plain, as flat as Hermione's front teeth... oh no, anyway, it's an open expanse. He rides his beloved broom, gripping his firm buttocks, and spirals forward like a dragon. Our two ladies, Katie and Arya, are going at full speed just to barely catch up with Marcus..."

"That was a good shot. If it had been a little higher, it might have brought down the messenger owl," Ron commented quite objectively.

He didn't see that his girlfriend Hermione's face had turned as red as a ripe apple in the distance.

"I'd like to remind one of the commentators that he should be mindful of his girlfriend's feelings while commentating," Li Qiaodan said with a hint of schadenfreude, clearly noticing Hermione's expression. "Hahaha... looks like he might be in quite a bit of trouble when he gets back to the lounge."

"Let's turn our attention back to the field. This time, Angelina is again initiating the attack from the left flank. She's charging forward at full speed, single-handedly breaking into Slytherin's half of the field... Oh, what am I seeing? She dodged the Slytherin batter's volley with a nod! What incredible reflexes and agility..."

Ron immediately chimed in, "We saw Angelina attract the attention of two defenders, who, like before, tried to disrupt her attack. Will she knock her classmate unconscious again this time...? Okay, she passed the ball, Katie Bell received it, shot, and it's in!!!"

Katie Bell swung her arm and fired a shot, but it was too fast for Slytherin's goalkeeper Miles Bletchley to intercept. The Quaffle grazed her fingertips and flew into the far right circle.

Li Jordan grinned and said with a hearty laugh, "Beethoven once said that a good cross from the wing can easily lead to a goal. Look, Gryffindor has broken through Slytherin's goal first, leading 10-0!"
