I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts
Chapter 255 The Death Eaters must be eradicated, but not all of them.
Louis felt like he was the kind of villain who forced good people into doing *that*.
In terms of class, he was far more sophisticated than Huang Shiren, but he was not Huang Shiren after all, and the little Barty Crouch in front of him was not some White-haired Girl.
In the era of strict crackdowns, with multiple crimes punished concurrently, Little Bati could have been executed more than ten times over.
It was the harmonious magical society that saved him.
Dumbledore knew, of course, that Barty Jr. was guilty of grave sins. He had been torn between executing Barty on the spot or keeping him alive to see what kind of evil Voldemort and his men were plotting. But Louis's suggestion saved him the trouble of agonizing over it.
"Why don't you tell me?" Dumbledore said to Louis, taking the opportunity to speak.
Louis glanced at old Barty, still immersed in grief, then at young Barty, who was grinning from ear to ear on the ground: "Do the other Death Eaters and Voldemort know that your father came to Hogwarts?"
Little Barty glanced at him and nodded, saying he didn't know.
Louis felt reassured. He walked over to Dumbledore and whispered in his ear, in a voice only the two of them could hear, "Why don't we turn the tables on him... Since only Barty knows we've been exposed, perhaps we could try to control him with something. This way, we can know Voldemort's movements and prevent new moles from sneaking into Hogwarts. What do you say, Headmaster?"
Dumbledore gave Lewis a deep look, then turned to Barty and said, "You'll have to hide in Hogwarts for now, Barty. Don't let anyone know you're there... Hmm, let me think... you'll have to stay at the Hog's Head for a while."
Old Barty paused for a moment, then frowned and asked, "What about this little bastard?"
No sooner had he finished speaking than a mocking voice came from the side.
"Hey, Crouch."
He turned around and saw Phineas Black, wearing a dark green robe and sporting a curled beard, looking at old Barty with amusement in the portrait.
"Principal Black," Old Barty said with a slight bow.
Phineas didn't care about any of that. He asked gleefully, "You call your son a little beast, then what are you?"
Old Barty immediately broke down. He took a deep breath, but before he could speak, Phineas was kidnapped by the other principals and disappeared into the mural.
This is standard procedure in the Hogwarts Headmaster's office; everyone is used to it.
"We have another use for him," Dumbledore said slowly. "Your most important task now is to hide well and not be discovered by the Death Eaters. You should also know what your son just said: Voldemort is back..."
"But even if Voldemort comes back, he should still..." Barty argued, his face flushed, but was unexpectedly knocked to the ground by a spell cast by Louis.
"Now you're pretending to be a hero and betray your own family? Where were you before?" Louis glanced at old Barty, who was sleeping like a baby, while little Barty cheered from the side.
It was basically praising him for doing a great job and asking if he was interested in serving the Dark Lord together.
Louis ignored him; Emma had taught him not to play with idiots.
"I suggest we tie him up. I hope you can remind Aberforth," Grindelwald suddenly said. "He's not exactly a peaceful person."
Dumbledore nodded in agreement with Grindelwald's point of view, then turned to Snape: "Severus, Lewis just suggested that the best way to control Barty Jr. is... do you have any potions you recommend?"
Look at this, that's what a non-stick pan looks like! Louis thought he was already non-stick enough, but he didn't expect the headmaster to be even more ruthless than him.
Snape looked at Dumbledore speechlessly: "It's useless. Only slow-acting poisons can frighten cowards. As for these fanatical Death Eaters..." Snape glanced disdainfully at Barty the Younger, who retaliated with the same look of disdain as looking at a shrimp in a cesspool. "I don't think any poison can change their fanaticism for the Dark Lord that's ingrained in their bones."
"Sigh." Dumbledore sighed in a teasy tone, and was about to speak when Grindelwald pressed down on his shoulder.
"Alright, stop talking." Grindelwald beckoned, and without using any spell, Barty, who was still glaring at Snape on the ground, suddenly became completely bewildered.
What is a true Dark Lord? He doesn't even need to chant the Imperius Curse; he just uses his wand and can easily control a powerful wizard like Barty the Younger.
Snape was startled, and a hint of confusion appeared in his eyes as he looked at Dumbledore.
How come there's such a powerful wizard by the headmaster's side?
"What's wrong, Professor?" Louis noticed Snape's change in mood and leaned over to ask with concern.
Snape glanced at Grindelwald, who was sitting on the left side of the desk drinking tea, then shook his head without saying a word.
Although he was curious about Grindelwald's identity, he adhered to the principle of "not asking what shouldn't be asked" and didn't ask any further questions.
Perhaps this is why Dumbledore used him.
"Tell me your plan," Dumbledore asked, also curious about what kind of mischief Louis was plotting... no, what he was thinking.
Louis cast a sleep spell on Old Barty, crossed his legs and sat in his chair, tapping the table with his finger.
Dumbledore looked puzzled, but calmly observed Louis, wondering what he was up to.
Louis then realized that neither Sakuya nor Christa were with him, and he quickly said, "Haha... I'm used to it at home, I always just knock and someone will bring me some tea... Ah, thank you, Principal, lemonade will do."
Having gotten the lemonade he wanted, Louis said, "Actually, it's not a great solution, it just means we need Barty Jr. to be our mole—he can't break free of Gellert's spell anyway, can he?"
Snape suddenly heard the name "Gellert" and found it strangely familiar. He felt like he had heard the name somewhere before and had a feeling that the person must be someone important, but he just couldn't remember who it was.
Dumbledore paused for a moment, then looked at Louis: "I think I understand what you mean. You want him to continue carrying out the tasks assigned by Voldemort at the school?"
"Yes, Headmaster Dumbledore." Louis chuckled. It was so comfortable talking to smart people. "Instead of letting them stir up trouble in the gutter, like groundhogs that occasionally jump out and bite, it's better to put a monitor on them. Barty the Younger is the monitor we need, keeping their antics within a certain range."
"A good suggestion." After considering it for a moment, Dumbledore felt the plan was feasible. "So, what do you suggest in the end? That Voldemort be resurrected?"
"Let him come back to life." Louis shrugged. He had also heard Snape taking a deep breath and quickly pressed him down. "Don't worry, Professor Snape, Harry will be fine. With Voldemort's pride, he will never allow the Death Eaters to lay a hand on Harry. He will kill Harry himself to wash away his shame from back then."
Snape's lips twitched, and he asked in a low voice, "Do you really think that the rudimentary magic Harry learned from you is enough to go toe-to-toe with Voldemort?"
"No, but Harry won't be killed by Voldemort," Lewis explained with a smile to the puzzled Snape. "After my investigation over the past few years, an aunt who wishes to remain anonymous told me that Voldemort, in order to achieve immortality, divided his soul into seven parts and created some Horcruxes."
"Ravenclaw's tiara and his diary were both part of his Horcruxes. I purified the tiara when I was a first-year student, and the one that Catherine wears now is it." At this point, Louis felt a little thirsty, picked up his lemonade, took a sip, and continued, "The diary is the same. And there are several other Horcruxes: Hufflepuff's cup, Slytherin's pendant, the Resurrection Stone, and a large snake that has been with him for many years."
"The Resurrection Stone?" Snape, as if blind as a blind man, grasped the key point; the word "resurrection" was so sweet.
Dumbledore, who possessed the Elder Wand, certainly knew what the Resurrection Stone was. Although he longed to see his sister, his years of self-control were remarkable. He sat calmly in his chair, showing no sign of any desire whatsoever.
"Yes, the Resurrection Stone, one of the legendary Deathly Hallows." Lewis glanced at the still composed Dumbledore and smiled as he explained to Snape, "You should be familiar with the Deathly Hallows, Professor."
Snape glanced at him sideways with drooping eyelids, then lowered his eyelids again, saying nothing.
"Speaking of the Deathly Hallows, Headmaster Dumbledore had one, a trophy he won fifty years ago after defeating the then-powerful Dark Wizard Grindelwald." Louis said, noticing Grindelwald's face darken slightly. He didn't seem to mind and continued, "Legend has it that Death bestowed one of the three Peverell brothers with a Hallow: the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone, and the Invisibility Cloak. Headmaster Dumbledore's is the legendary Elder Wand."
"The Resurrection Stone has been passed down through the Gaunt family. Voldemort took it from his uncle Morfin Gaunt and crafted it into a Horcrux—legend has it that the Resurrection Stone can resurrect others. Once we find it, you can use it if you wish."
Snape was stunned for a moment. He wanted to refuse, but somehow he nodded in agreement to Louis's proposal.
"The last invisibility cloak, you're certainly very familiar with it," Louis said with a malicious smile. "Your nemesis, Harry's father James Potter, always possessed it; you should know it better than I do..."
"Shut up," Snape commanded coldly.
"We've gone off on a tangent. There's another soul that he placed inside the serpent... Speaking of this serpent, the headmaster and Gellert should be quite familiar with her." Louis looked at Dumbledore and Grindelwald with a half-smile.
The two looked at each other, neither understanding what Louis meant.
"That giant snake is Nagini. She's a blood cursed orc, and before the blood curse fully took effect, she was Credence's good friend." Louis shrugged. "Yes, it's Aurelius Dumbledore. Gellert gave her that name."
As he spoke, Louis looked at Grindelwald.
Snape frowned, feeling increasingly familiar with Grindelwald; it was as if he had heard the name "Gellert" somewhere before.
Who could it be, someone familiar with Dumbledore, or even an old friend? Newt? No way, Newt is a Hufflepuff, how could he use the Imperius Curse so easily?
Who could it be? Snape felt a bit of a headache coming on.
Grindelwald coughed awkwardly twice to cover his emotions. Dumbledore glanced at Louis expressionlessly: "Alright, let's continue that topic... Counting what you just said, there are only five soul fragments, plus one in Voldemort's current physical form. So, what about the last one?"
"That's quite a coincidence," Louis said with a smile. "It all started more than ten years ago in Godric's Valley..."
"It was a dark and stormy night when Voldemort, at the height of his power, arrived in Godric's Hollow. He..."
He was interrupted by Snape before he could finish speaking.
"Get to the point, Louis."
Louis didn't intend to rub salt in Snape's wounds; it was truly an unintentional slip. He immediately skipped over the already well-known story and fast-forwarded to the final step.
"Okay, the moment Voldemort's spell hit Harry, the ancient spell left by Aunt Lily took effect, not only deflecting Avada Kedavra but also stripping a piece of Voldemort's soul and attaching it to Harry. So... we can understand that Harry is Voldemort's last Horcrux."
Seeing the thoughtful expressions on the three men's faces, Louis continued, "That's why I'm so sure Harry won't be killed by Voldemort... If someone else used the Killing Curse on Harry, he might die, but if it were Voldemort himself, he would definitely kill that soul fragment first!"
"In principle, there's no problem," Grindelwald said softly. "I've also read about Horcruxes before, and what Louis said is basically correct as well."
Dumbledore thought for a moment, then looked at Louis and said, "Your idea is quite good. I've considered the plan and it does seem feasible, but... why resurrect Voldemort?"
Lewis and Dumbledore stared at each other, and a glint seemed to be flashing behind the old headmaster's crescent-shaped glasses.
"The Ministry of Magic has been too complacent these past few years, especially Fudge; he's lost sight of his place." Louis picked up his lemonade, took a small sip, and said, "They need to realize their place, starting with Voldemort's resurrection..."
