I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts
Chapter 287 Accident
Chapter 287 Accident
Humans have three fundamental traits: repeating the same thing over and over, being a pigeon, and finding something really delicious. I didn't see the other two traits in Professor Snape, but finding something really delicious was definitely true.
After all, in Snape's view, people were crucibles and food was medicine; if you missed a meal, you would have to be sent away.
While eating, she didn't forget to nitpick, saying the dishes were a bit spicy and the texture wasn't very good, but she was just as fast as anyone else at making magical bread with the dishes.
"It's all because they're spoiled," Louis thought to himself, cursing.
I initially thought I'd just bear with it, but the more I thought about it, the angrier I got. The more I felt I was losing out, the more I realized I was being taken advantage of. So I blurted out, "If you don't want to eat it, I'll just take it away."
Snape looked up at him with a haughty expression, then said nothing more.
The meaning behind those words was quite clear: give me, Mr. Si, some face...
Louis didn't continue teasing him, but instead focused on eating, since he still needed to find the ring later.
After finishing his meal, Professor Dumbledore picked up a tissue to wipe his mouth, then reached out with his hands. No one knew what spell he used, but with a "ding," something fell from a nearby bookshelf.
Louis stared in disbelief for a long time, then said dryly, "Why didn't you use this method sooner? We've been searching here all morning."
"Anyway, it'll be boring going back, so I might as well play here for a while," Dumbledore said casually.
Louis could only say, "You're ruthless." He stepped forward, and sure enough, the little thing was a ring with the familiar Peverell emblem—he had seen it on Harry's cloak before.
"It's a resurrection stone," Louis said, turning around. "You two wait a moment while I purify it."
So he took out the Heart of Oak and began casting a spell on the ring that resembled a resurrection stone.
A holy light flashed, and black smoke began to rise from the small ring.
It's hard to imagine that such a small and delicate ring could emit Ohio-level smoke, almost catching Louis off guard. Luckily, Dumbledore intervened in time to blow some air on it, preventing Louis from ending up with a face completely blackened by the smoke.
Then, a black skull, seemingly made of solid black smoke, lunged at Louis with a silent scream and a stern, ferocious expression.
Another wave of dispersal swept through the area, and the black smoke, like Hiroshima in front of the little boy, instantly melted away with overwhelming force.
"Not a bad spell." Dumbledore nodded, stepped forward, and asked, "So, can this ring be used now?"
Louis didn't say anything, but bent down, picked up the ring, and put it in his pocket. "Of course, we can go back to school now."
Dumbledore didn't speak; his blue eyes, hidden behind his half-moon spectacles, blinked.
"Don't worry, you won't get away." Louis curled his lip. "You're allowed to make us search for a whole morning, but you can't let me leave you hanging for an afternoon? Don't you think so, Professor Snape? Let's take a vote."
He turned his gaze to Snape, who curled his lip and dramatically betrayed Lewis's camp: "Since it's a vote, I think it's better to do as Professor Dumbledore says. After all, the waters surrounding this Resurrection Stone are too deep for you to handle."
Good grief, you're Pan Zi, right? No, you're Si Zi...
What kind of friendship is this?!
"Headmaster Dumbledore made a fool of us for the entire morning, and you just forgive him like that?" Louis asked, still unwilling to give up.
"Who told you, poor professor, to want to use this magical Resurrection Stone?" Professor Snape shrugged, his mouth twisting like a dragon king.
"Fine, I misjudged you." Louis glared at Snape resentfully, thinking to himself that if he ever had the chance to resurrect Aunt Lily, he would definitely give Snape a piece of his mind and tell him all the good things he had done for Harry over the years!
Snape, of course, didn't notice Louis's expression; his mind was completely occupied with the Resurrection Stone.
After all, nothing is more important than Lily.
If I had to say, Snape wouldn't really qualify as Boiling Sheep; he'd be more like Black Tiger.
Upon returning to school, Louis did not visit the emotional scene involving middle-aged and elderly people in the principal's office, but instead went home early.
My family members all sat on the sofa with serious expressions, as if they were about to hold some kind of criticism meeting, which made me feel a little guilty.
"What's wrong? How many of you are there?" he asked somewhat nervously.
No one answered him. Catherine handed him a stack of papers with a somewhat serious expression.
"What's wrong?" Louis asked, turning the pages.
Oh, it's a secret report from the Royal Navy, definitely sent by old Louis.
There's also a small voice recorder.
"Trafalgar-class, Triumph? Lost contact on St. Helena Island... Isn't that a nuclear submarine?" Louis flipped through the report, and a line of small print caught his attention.
"Suspected attack by an unidentified creature, and now out of contact?" Louis frowned, looking up at the somber faces of the group. "What kind of creature is it?"
Emma sighed: "Let's turn on the recorder and listen to it..."
Louis turned on the recorder as instructed, and the sound of an electric microphone came through.
"Devinport... Devinport... This is the nuclear submarine Triumph, requesting to call Devinport..."
After another burst of static from the microphone, a female voice rang out.
"Calling the Triumph! Devonport is calling the Triumph..."
A crackling sound of electricity rang out, followed shortly by intermittent screams.
"Jesus H. Fxxk! What kind of monster is this... (sizzling sounds)... It's going to eat people... Don't let it come any closer, (hissing sounds) Lawrence, are you alright... Oh my god... Its octopus face..."
Then came an extremely agonizing scream, and the recording abruptly stopped.
"Octopus face?" Louis quickly grasped the clue. "It's a Faceless One..."
"Yes," Chromie said solemnly, "However, it must have been an accident. The Old Gods wouldn't extend their reach to Earth..."
"No, this is definitely not an accident." Louis sat on the sofa and flicked the cabinet with his finger. "In Earth's legends, there are many Faceless Ones, among which Cthulhu is the most famous."
What Louis didn't say was that the Old Gods of Azeroth were actually based on the Cthulhu mythos... Of course, Cthulhu wasn't the only prototype.
"Never treat anything as an accident, Chromie." Louis held up one finger. "This isn't that simple. Let me think..."
Louis tapped his fingers on the table, piecing together the events that had transpired. He suddenly looked up at Chromie: "Is it possible that the demons of Hell and the Faceless Ones have colluded?"
"That's very possible," Chromie nodded solemnly. "If they are Faceless Ones, they could use the power of the Old Gods to break through a small part of the seal and send out their Faceless Ones... However, we don't know if Overseer Krasis is among them..."
"Go investigate," Louis sighed. "The Old Gods are a cancer on the world; we can't let them corrupt it..."
"I understand." Chromie was well aware of the danger posed by the Old Gods, and she answered without a shred of doubt.
Emma stood up and said solemnly, "I'll go with you, Ms. Chromie. The more people there are, the more strength we'll have."
Chromie looked at Emma, then at Louise, and seeing the latter nod, he smiled and agreed.
After they left, the atmosphere in the room remained heavy. Louis asked, somewhat puzzled, "You don't even know any Old Gods, so what are you worried about?"
"At first, we thought it was a small matter, but it wasn't until Chromie showed us the scene of N'Zoth's invasion that we realized the seriousness of the situation..." Ye Ziyan looked at Louis with concern, "Louis, you must not let your guard down..."
"Don't worry, Leaf, I've seen those apocalyptic scenes before." Louis thought to himself, "I've seen more than just those; even N'Zoth himself... I, the very god, have been overturned by my own car..."
The channel is an expert in fire magic, that's how arrogant they are.
As the saying goes, there were originally no roads in this world, but as more and more fireballs were used, roads were formed.
"I'll hold the sky up if it falls; you all just need to be happy," Louis said, pinching Christa, who was still shivering. "It's not good that the little red dragon is so timid..."
How could anyone not be afraid of what she said? Kristassa is, after all, a fully grown red dragon who has personally experienced the War of the Shifting Sands.
C'Thun's minions alone could trap the dragonflight's offspring behind the walls of quicksand; Kristasthara didn't think she had a few more heads than Anachronos.
After finally calming the little red dragon down, Louis breathed a sigh of relief. Women, whether female dragons or women, are always a physically demanding task to appease.
Days passed by, and before they knew it, the next semester was about to begin. During this time, Snape was noticeably more relaxed. Even when Neville caused a minor cauldron explosion in class, it was all brushed aside with a single sentence, without a single point being deducted.
The students from both houses were looking at Snape differently. Was this really the same double-standard Professor Snape we knew? Neville had made such a big mistake, and not only was he not punished, but he wasn't even penalized with points?
"I said he must have been turned into Polyjuice Potion by someone else," Ron whispered to Harry. Luckily, Snape was in the front row, engrossed in his notes, and didn't hear them, otherwise he would have been punished without a doubt.
"Isn't this fine?" Harry thought it wasn't so bad, and looked at the unusual Snape with a smile. Then he turned to Louis across from him and asked curiously, "Is what Ron said true? Good heavens, I'm a little uneasy about this."
"It's normal to feel uncomfortable." Louis rolled his eyes, wondering with a hint of malice what kind of spell Lily had cast on Snape.
After Potions class came Charms class. Since Snape was still around, Hermione didn't dare to whisper to Harry during Potions class. Instead, she waited until she entered the Charms classroom before quietly questioning Harry.
"You clearly said you had solved the clues to the golden egg!" Hermione said angrily.
"Keep your voice down!" Harry said irritably. "I just need to get this clearer, is that so wrong?"
Harry did hear the mermaid's song in the prefect's bathroom, but he had no idea what the song was about.
Being a proud man, he was unwilling to admit that he hadn't heard anything at all—like a duck trying to hear thunder, staring blankly at the golden egg in the water.
"That singing is too complex, Hermione," Ron explained for him. "We can't invite you to listen with us yet, since... it has to be underwater..."
Hermione glanced at them and hissed, "Couldn't you just find a taller bowl? You two really don't use your brains..."
At this point, the two suddenly realized that he had even gone to his sister's bathroom...
Louis chuckled as he lay on the table. He already knew this, but it was also a perfect opportunity to take a bath with Catherine, wasn't it?
The tricks of a scumbag can be surprisingly sophisticated.
In Charms class, Lewis sat in the last row of Slytherin and began to doze off, while Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat alone at a table at the back of the classroom. The spell they were to practice today was the opposite of the Summoning Charm—it was the Dispel Charm.
Because flying objects around in the classroom could easily cause accidents, Professor Flitwick gave each student a large number of soft mats for practice, so that even if they strayed off course, they wouldn't get hurt.
The idea was good, but it didn't go smoothly in practice. Neville was too inaccurate when he chanted the spells; he always accidentally sent heavy things flying all over the room—like Professor Flitwick.
When Professor Flitwick landed, panting heavily, Neville sent another mattress flying, which hit Louis squarely on the head.
He opened his sleepy eyes, searching for the culprit, and soon spotted Neville, who was pretending to be invisible but kept glancing in his direction. He couldn't help but glare at Neville angrily. "You little brat, first you're flirting with the professor, then with the associate professor, are you trying to rebel?"
Neville shrank back, speechless, after being glared at like that.
Draco and the others were practicing well, even starting to command the mattresses in a mattress-flying banishing spell battle. At some point, a mattress hit Seamus, who yelled and joined the fray. Gryffindor, of course, couldn't stand idly by, so they joined the melee against Slytherin as well. They were having a great time. Professor Flitwick shuddered, ducked to avoid a soft cushion, and turned to get wet.
He also reminded Louis to keep the situation under control.
Could Louis, a model student, tolerate this? Of course not. He secretly threw a Confusion Charm at Neville, who had just smashed his clothes, and Neville immediately used a spell to send Professor Flitwick flying over.
"Ahhh, let me out!" Professor Flitwick protested, and Neville also came to his senses, looking at Professor Flitwick with a bewildered expression.
Who am I? Where am I? What have I done?
Could it be... that the professor was attracted here?
Thinking of this, he reached out and slapped his face with his hand. Suddenly, a string of electronic music floated through his mind.
Oh no, Barbie Q is gone...
I had a low-grade fever after the surgery, my leg hurt a lot, and I was dizzy and lightheaded, so I couldn't concentrate at all. I spent the whole afternoon and evening working on my liver...
