I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts
Chapter 315 Accident
Chapter 315 Accident
Louis said he had seen it all, having been through countless battles with the grudges and feuds of the previous generation.
Louis didn't want to talk about or watch the feud between Sirius and Snape, especially.
Sirius Black, though somewhat disdainful of Snape, reluctantly accepted Snape's words, since he still needed Snape to help him find people.
Following the scent, Sirius Black led the two men ahead, with Louis and Snape following behind. The maze was incredibly dark, with milky white miasma obstructing their vision. Even lighting techniques like flashing lights couldn't penetrate the dense fog.
Sirius Black suddenly stopped, sniffed the air, and barked twice, as if to say, "Something's up."
Louis waved his wand and used Transfiguration to transform into a black dog that looked exactly like Sirius Black. The black dog ran happily forward, and soon a whimpering sound could be heard.
"Something's strange." The two people and the dog exchanged a glance. Sirius Black revealed his true form, nodded, and reached forward to touch something.
Unable to see left and right in the fog, a sharp shriek suddenly rang out, and something whose shape was indistinct pounced. Sirius reacted quickly, flicking his wand and casting a spell that struck the creature with a muffled thud, sending it flying a great distance.
"What is it?" Sirius asked, still shaken.
"Didn't see clearly, but he probably isn't very good-looking." Snape chuckled and cast a spell at Sirius.
A whimper came from behind him, and a monster collapsed to the ground.
Snape's words were always barbed; he sneered and said, "I think you should thank me, if you have any manners at all."
"Thank you." Sirius gave a thumbs up.
"Thank him for saving your life," Louis added.
Sirius glanced at him, gave a haughty snort, and remained silent, still holding his wand and looking around at the mist.
"After all this time, isn't that Durmstrang athlete in danger?" he asked.
Snape flicked his wand, tossed out a spell, then shook his greasy hair and said coldly, "First, Miss Chabanor is a student at Beauxbatons; second, we have combined the amber-making techniques of the Supreme Lord Kolvan to temporarily encase her in amber to protect her from fatal harm—only those who know the trick can remove the protective amber, otherwise we can only watch."
"What about the Killing Curse?" Sirius asked curiously.
Louis explained to him, "We've tested it. Using a cow, at least twenty Avada Kedavra curses wouldn't be able to harm any of the life forms inside the amber."
"Who threw that Killing Curse?" Sirius Black was very talkative and annoying, like a million "whys." Snape and Louis, in perfect unison, ignored him.
Sirius, feeling rebuffed, continued walking forward, asking, "Do I need to transform back into my Animagus form?"
"Uh, actually, it's not necessary." Louis pulled out something that looked like a compass: "This is an amber navigation device. It can find contestants encased in amber, just like a compass..."
Sirius Black immediately became unhappy. He glared at Louis and angrily demanded, "So you were just playing me the whole time?"
"You can understand it that way, right?" Louis said with a chuckle. "After all, these days you don't see many people as honest and straightforward as you."
Sirius: %#¥…… (swear words)
Snape didn't say anything, but he openly gave Louis a thumbs-up to show his approval of the student.
It had to be a student from his own house, Snape thought to himself, in high spirits. He was very happy to see Sirius get his comeuppance.
They hadn't gone far when Louis, watching the small dot of light getting closer, said solemnly, "We're almost there."
The two immediately retreated slightly, surrounding Louis. The three of them faced different directions, constantly on guard against the monster in the fog.
After walking a few more steps, the view suddenly opened up ahead. Not far away, there was a large piece of amber, and a terrified Marilyn Chabanor was frozen inside it. Beside the amber was a giant beast—it didn't look like something from the magical world or Earth, but rather resembled the Faceless Ones of Krasis.
Hearing the footsteps of Louis and his companions, the Faceless One turned around, its octopus-tentacle-like face swaying back and forth—in fact, the Faceless One wasn't a faceless monster, it just had an octopus face. In the famous game Dota, it was nicknamed "X-face."
As its name suggests, it is because its face looks like "elegance".
The Faceless One growled, uttering a string of unintelligible words, then picked up the hammer in its hand and charged at the three.
"Reducto!" Sirius Black was the first to attack, and Professor Snape also snorted and unleashed a powerful, unstoppable strike.
The Shattering Curse struck the Faceless One's head, causing it to stagger, but it had little effect and continued charging towards the three of them. Meanwhile, the Shadowless Blade sliced through its hide, and a stream of black blood flowed out. When it spilled onto the grass, the once green grass instantly withered and lost its vitality.
"What an evil creature..." Snape muttered, his hands busy throwing spells at it along with Sirius, but they couldn't inflict any fatal damage.
"Holy Light, this evil deserves a fight!" Louis pointed at the Faceless One, uttering a classic line, then drew his wand, conjuring a golden greatsword of holy light. He twirled the sword, pointed his right hand at the Faceless One, and shouted, "Holy Light Explosion!"
A blinding golden light flashed, catching the Faceless One off guard. Just as he was shaking his head, trying to regain his senses, Louis had already walked over and, with a single sword stroke, cleaved him in two.
He waved his hand, using a mass dispel to purify the still writhing chunks of flesh on the ground, then walked to the amber, tapped it, and the amber shattered, releasing a terrified Marilyn.
"Oh my god, what was that monster?" Marilyn was still in shock.
"Faceless One, alright, you're eliminated, Chabanor." Louis showed no mercy. "You can go now. We need to go rescue the next contestant."
"Can I come with you?" Marilyn asked, still somewhat unwilling to give up. "This maze is too deep; I'm so afraid of encountering something like this again..."
Before he could finish speaking, Louis threw out a cloud of ashes, teleporting Marilyn back to Mrs. Maxim's side.
"...Monster." Marilyn hadn't even reacted yet. When she finished speaking, she looked up and saw that she was already back in the main seat, with Principal Maxim and Mrs. Maxim right next to her.
"I'm...I'm sorry, Mrs. Maxim..." Marilyn said timidly.
Mrs. Maxim reached out her large hand and affectionately patted Marilyn's head, comforting her, "It's alright. This kind of danger is unpredictable. It's the organizer's responsibility, not yours."
In reality, she was just trying to comfort her—why were the other contestants still persisting inside? Not to mention others, fourth-year Harry Potter had just killed a Faceless Man with the Exorcist weapon in front of more than three thousand people in the audience.
That's too brutal...
"It looks like Marilyn Chabanor is going to go first," Ron commented. "So the first elimination has been made: Marilyn Chabanor from Beauxbatons."
"Unfortunately, that monster doesn't seem to be something we can handle," Lee Jordan said with a sigh. "Even the two professors had a lot of trouble dealing with it. It's not hard to imagine how embarrassing it would be if we encountered it."
"Besides Harry Potter," as Harry's good friend, Ron naturally had to praise Harry, "I'm sure you all saw it just now. Harry Potter's amazing Exterminator weapon completely overwhelmed that Faceless Man monster. It was so cool."
"You're right, that's Gryffindor for you. Courage and fearlessness are our qualities." Lee Jordan nodded vigorously. As a Gryffindor, he naturally had to become the leader of the Gryffindor praise group. He really didn't hold back any praise for Harry.
People in the stands vomited, saying they had never seen such shameless people.
Inside the maze, the three members of the search team received a message from Bagman.
"Your Highness, hurry and find Cedric Diggory! He and Viktor Krum are in trouble!" Mr. Bagman's voice was extremely anxious. "It's urgent! The monster is enormous!"
"I understand." Louis nodded, hung up the phone, looked up at the two people staring at him, and said in a deep voice, "The situation is quite urgent. Cedric from Hufflepuff and Viktor from Durmstrang have been attacked. We need to get to the scene as soon as possible. Mr. Bagman said that the monster that attacked them seems to be very large..."
"Lead the way," Snape said, his words as concise as ever.
Continuing to follow the direction indicated by the searcher, they passed through thick fog, constantly harassed by various monsters. When they arrived at the location indicated by the searcher, the attacking monsters had long since disappeared, leaving only three pieces of amber on the ground. Inside were sealed Fleur, who had lost a leg; Cedric, whose shoulder was torn; and Viktor, whose clothes were burned off.
Louis didn't speak, but turned to Snape and said, "Professor, I suggest we teleport the three of them back in this form. Kappa Amber can seal their injuries, so that Madam Pomfrey, the Supreme Lord Kolfan, and Old Chen can provide timely assistance. What do you think?"
"You're absolutely right." Snape nodded, pulling out a packet of ashes. "How do you use this? I've never used Floo Powder in this form before."
Speaking of which, this Floo Powder that can teleport people is a new product modified by Christa in collaboration with the tech geek Patchouli Knowledge. It can teleport people to a designated location without using a hearth fire—this handful of ashes is from the campfire next to the main seating area that just burned.
Three crystal-clear amber pieces were teleported back to the side of the main seat, and Louise then received a message from Dumbledore.
"You three, do your best to bring the remaining fighters back. Louis, there's no point in continuing this match," Headmaster Dumbledore said solemnly. "Everyone's safety is paramount; do everything you can to prevent them from getting hurt!"
"Understood, Professor." Louis nodded, and just as he hung up the phone, he heard a rustling sound from the hedge beside him, along with a woman's sobs.
The three immediately pointed their wands at the swaying hedge. A moment later, Fleur emerged from inside. Upon seeing the three, she collapsed to the ground, covering her face and sobbing uncontrollably.
"What's wrong?" Sirius asked with concern, crouching down as a gentleman.
Hibiscus shook her head and just cried. Louis took out the Geiger counter and checked it, but there was no evil energy to corrupt it. He then looked down at her and said, "Alright, there's no need to insist anymore. Headmaster Dumbledore said there's been a change in the maze, and the priority is to save your lives. So we'll send you back first, and then go find the other two contestants."
To everyone's surprise, upon hearing this, Furong immediately stopped crying, raised her head, and asked with tears streaming down her face, "What? There are only two of you left?"
Louis paused for a moment, then nodded instinctively and replied, "Yes, only... well, Harry Potter and Catherine Worley are left."
Furong immediately wiped away her tears and smiled happily: "Well, I thought I was going to be the first one eliminated, so... um, it's a little embarrassing. Since I'm not last... I'd better hurry back."
Louis was speechless for a moment. Good grief, I thought something had happened to you, but it turns out you just didn't want to be last... But in your situation... well, you're already at rock bottom; no matter which way you go, it's upwards...
Louis decided not to think about it anymore. He took out a handful of ashes and sprinkled them on Hibiscus. A gust of wind swept by, and Hibiscus was blown back to her seat in the main guest area.
"Well, it seems something strange did happen in the maze. The contestants have started leaving one by one," Ron said with some regret. "What a pity. I thought I would see the contestants battle against each other, but they just left so abruptly. It feels like this competition started strong but ended weakly."
"Your inverted sentence structure is quite good. You're from Shadong, aren't you?" Lee Jordan asked with a smile. "But here's the question: how will this project end? If the remaining two contestants are also brought out, I personally hope we can hold another event..."
"I don't think so. Look, Harry Potter is almost at the Goblet of Fire," Lee Jordan said excitedly.
Everyone's attention was instantly drawn to the game scene by Li Qiaodan's words. On the screen, Harry was panting heavily, and in front of him was the Goblet of Fire, which was burning and leaping.
