I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts

Chapter 51 Results Announcement

Chapter 51 Results Announced (Seeking Investment and Further Reading)

Ultimately, Harry and Draco made a pact to keep their distance until the rumors died down. [At this point, I hope readers will remember our domain name.]

But that didn't stop the female fans' enthusiasm for creating fanfiction. They wrote countless stories, and Snape even confiscated one of them during Potions class.

She was Ravenclaw's senior, and Snape justifiably deducted fifty points from her score.

We should be grateful that the wizarding world lacks political correctness.

Finally, Friday's potion class arrived, and the day for the results was about to be released.

Professor Snape, as usual, slammed the door open. The students were used to it by now; in fact, they felt uneasy if they didn't do it during Potions class.

"Recently... there seem to be two prominent figures." Snape's greasy voice trailed off: "Let me see, well, Mr. Malfoy, who dared to defy societal prejudices, openly professed his love for Mr. Potter in public. I think your father would be very proud of your courage."

Draco tried to argue, but Snape shut him down.

Besides, he didn't have the courage to refute Snape.

"I wish you could use that same energy you have for digging up other people's gossip on your studies, but you all seem to be no different from mosquitoes that smell blood." Snape twisted his hooked nose, looking at the report card in his hand with disgust. "Sometimes, you really make me wonder if I'm teaching a bunch of humanoid trolls."

"Louis Mountbatten," he called out suddenly. Seeing Louis stand up, Snape's sinister face twisted into a smile. "Those whose names are called do not need to stand up. Sit down, Mr. Mountbatten. 100 points."

Louise mentally went through three periods: Professor Snape, you absolutely did this on purpose...

Ron was sitting there waiting for some fun, but a single sentence of "100 points" shattered his mental defenses.

Huh? Didn't we agree not to study together? Didn't we agree you wouldn't do well on the test? How did you secretly get a perfect score?

"Harry Potter...our savior, and also the recent heroine...99 points, because you misspelled a word in the short answer question."

"Hermione Granger." Snape's smile vanished, replaced by a sinister expression. "Ah, Miss Know-It-All, 98 points."

"Draco Malfoy...98 points."

"Daphne Greengrass...98 points."

Millison Burstder, 98 points.

"Pansy Parkinson, 96 points."

"Bress Sabini, 95 points."

"Lavender Brown, 95 points."

"Theodore Nott, 94 points."

"Elois Midgen, 93 points."

"Vincent Crabbe, 90 points."

"Gregory Gore, 88 points."

……

"Alright, next up are the three Gryffindor troll brothers."

"Ronald Weasley..." Snape stared at Ron's face with a death stare, and after a long while, said coldly and slowly, "62 points."

Not bad... I passed.

Ron breathed a sigh of relief. At least he wasn't last. That damned Louis... he'd definitely have to settle the score with him later!

"Seamus Finnigan." Snape's gaze quickly rose and fell. "Hmm, 54 points. I hope you can use that fiery talent of yours in Potions class from now on, Mr. Finnigan."

"Well, well," Snape drawled out the last syllable, and under Neville's horrified gaze, he said haltingly, "Neville Longbottom, the great genius of Gryffindor, 5 points."

Everyone, including the Gryffindors, looked at Neville with awe.

To be fair, Snape was quite lenient with first-year students. There were forty multiple-choice questions, worth eighty points in total; the rest were four short-answer questions, each worth five points.

"I must say, while grading these papers, I was wondering if you knew the correct answers for every single one?" Snape's eyes were filled with disdain. "Forty multiple-choice questions, and you didn't get a single one right. Are you someone Merlin sent to torture the professors' nerves?"

Neville sat on the stool, feeling dizzy and his head was buzzing. He couldn't hear what Snape was saying at all; all he could think about was the letter from his grandmother that was going to yell at him in a couple of days.

It's over, Barbie Q.

As Neville thought about it, he became more and more anxious, and then he suddenly fainted.

This caused the students to burst into laughter.

"Quiet," Snape said curtly, maintaining order. He glanced around the classroom and said slowly, "Mr. Mountbatten, ten points for Slytherin."

"In addition, Mr. Potter and Miss Know-It-All each earned five points for Gryffindor." Snape's face twitched noticeably as he said this.

Gryffindor points were the last thing he wanted to do.

"Two failing trolls, Gryffindor will deduct five points from each of you because of your grades."

Yes, he added it here and quickly deducted it there. That's typical of Snape.

Gryffindor breathed a sigh of relief; he was already quite satisfied, much better than losing points.

"In addition, Slytherin achieved first place in the first year with an average score of 92, so Slytherin gets ten extra points."

"Unfortunately, Gryffindor only came in third, so they didn't get any extra points." Snape shrugged regretfully as he said this.

"Professor, will you deduct points from our score?"

The one who asked this question was the very clever Simo.

"If you wish, I can deduct five points from Gryffindor just because you want them to," Snape said, his eyes narrowing into slits.

Seamus shook his head like a blender. If he really got five points deducted by Snape for his foul mouth today, the whole of Gryffindor would be after him tonight.

Even Percy couldn't save him.

The Gryffindor students now don't seek extra points in Snape's class; not losing points is considered a bonus.

"If there are no objections to the grades, the report cards will be distributed to you parents tomorrow morning," Snapla said, drawing out his words. "Have a pleasant weekend."

After class, Louis saw Ron waiting for him angrily outside the door.

To be honest, Louis thought her senior was right; Ron really did look like a little red squirrel.

"Louis! Didn't you say you weren't studying?! How could you lie to me!" Ron questioned Louis, sounding aggrieved. "We agreed to have fun together, but you secretly studied behind my back! That's so disloyal!"

Squirrel bristles

"Ah, you mean this?" Louis scratched his head. "I really didn't read the book. If you don't believe me, go ask Catherine. I practice spells with her every night."

Come to think of it, it had been half a month since he had practiced spells with Ron and the other two.

In the end, it was all for naught.

Ron didn't dare ask Catherine. He asked doubtfully, "You're not lying to me? Oh, you certainly wouldn't." He then surprisingly tried to defend Louis, saying, "We're good friends, after all. How could you lie to me? Speaking of which, I should really study harder. Ugh, Mom will be furious when she sees my report card..."
