"Today, the spell we're going to learn is—the Shattering Charm. [I hope readers will remember our domain name here.]" Louis resumed his original tone; he really couldn't stand Snape's tone.

It's greasy and drags on, and it strains my voice.

"Everyone, repeat after me," Louis said, just like his English teacher from a past life: "Reducto."

"Reducto," the students repeated.

Louis suddenly had a sense of déjà vu, as if he were in an elementary school English class—the students in front of him were about the same age as the students who had just started their English class, only their skin color was different.

However, he also noticed a small incident.

"Mr. Finigan," he called the name of the explosives genius, "please repeat the incantation."

The pronunciation of "Redu'o," the explosive genius, is clearly problematic, carrying a heavy London coachman's accent.

He swallowed an extra "k" sound compared to the drivers.

"Perhaps you really need to correct your accent. You know, in the early stages of learning spellcasting, even a slight difference in accent can make a world of difference," Louis said with some regret. "I think I know why you always use Explosion Charms instead of Spells—"

"Come on, read it with me again, reducto." Louis tried to guide the demolition genius back on track.

"Reduc'o." This time the "k" sound is there.

"Good, not bad, very good progress, Mr. Finnigan." Louis corrected patiently, "You need to pay attention to the shape and manner of your pronunciation. You must pronounce the two plosive sounds, reducto."

"Reducto." Although it still sounded a little awkward, Simo had successfully uttered the voiceless consonant that he had swallowed.

"Very good, very good, Mr. Finnigan." Louis clapped his hands in approval. "Keep it up! Alright, practice a few more times in your seat—now, the most exciting part of Defense Against the Dark Arts class is about to begin."

Louise's words heightened everyone's expectations, especially Harry and Ron, who leaned back so far they almost bumped into the people behind them.

To his surprise, Draco, who was usually quite composed, was looking at him with expectant eyes.

Louis clapped his hands, and Tom and Jerry carried in a strange and antique-looking full-length mirror.

"The Mirror of Erised! The Mirror of Erised!" Harry exclaimed. "No wonder I couldn't find it; you took it..."

Louis waved his wand with the elegance of a music conductor: "Well then, now you are about to face a monster from the abyss—"

The students gasped.

The Abyss? Who's ever heard of such a thing?

"Professor, what is the Abyss?" Hermione truly lived up to her Chinese name, being both quick-witted and eager to learn.

"You can think of it as hell, or purgatory," Louise shrugged. "I don't want to talk too much about that kind of place... Alright, since you were the first to ask a question, Miss Granger, then... you'll be the first to undergo the trial!"

It was partly due to personal grudges.

This is the price of talking too much.

"Everyone, come and line up, with Miss Granger at the head, yes, yes, yes." Under Louis's direction, the students in the class formed a long line.

Louise walked over to Hermione, tilting her head to look at the Mirror of Erised: "Have you memorized the spell, Miss Granger?"

"I...I remember." Hermione swallowed hard, feeling a little guilty—after all, the students hadn't experienced Lockhart's beating yet, so how would they know what kind of trouble the teaching assistant would cause?

"3...2...1..." Louis waved his wand and swung it toward the magic mirror.

Then, he gracefully stretched out his hands and, amidst the puzzled looks of his classmates, elegantly covered his ears.

A strange thing happened: ripples appeared on the surface of the magic mirror, and gradually, a withered arm reached out and grabbed the frame. Then, the withered and hideous head of the arm's owner also emerged from the Mirror of Eris.

"Ahhhhhhh!" Hermione let out a high-pitched scream. She was so close, so very close, to being on par with Vitas.

Emerging from the magic mirror were undead from the high walls of Lothric.

As you can tell from their name, zombies are obviously not good-looking... They are completely grotesque, zombified humans, but compared to zombies, they are too thin, just skin and bones.

"Alright, alright, our Miss Granger, I think you might be better suited to participate in a soprano audition. Perhaps you shouldn't be at Hogwarts; you should be studying at the opera school instead?" Louis said sarcastically. "If you're paying attention, this zombie is about to emerge."

Hermione's face flushed red, and her instinctive reaction was to run away. This was understandable; for a thirteen-year-old witch, this situation was indeed quite terrifying.

Hermione's birthday is in September, so she's a year later than Harry and the others, starting school at twelve. She'll be thirteen in the second semester of her first year. Catherine is in the same year; she's in the same year as the twins, but she's fourteen.

Imagine you were a freshman in junior high school and encountered this kind of monster, how would you react?

"It's coming out soon, it's almost here," Louise continued to remind Hermione in a sarcastic tone.

Hermione raised her small hand holding the wand with trembling hands and stammered, "Teach the professor, he he he he..."

"Don't worry, I've got you covered." Louis gently patted Hermione's shoulder.

Encouraged, Hermione felt a sense of relief, as if she had received a reassuring pill. She took a deep breath, waited for the undead to regain its footing, raised her wand, and called out in a deep voice, "Reducto!"

The spell burst forth from the tip of the staff, striking the undead. Unable to withstand the force of the spell, the undead shattered into pieces of ashes that flew into the magic mirror.

In order not to cause any psychological trauma to the young wizards, Louis's modification of this Lothric zombie was also very environmentally friendly.

The young Gryffindor wizards erupted in cheers. Even though Hermione wasn't usually very popular, she had set a good example and made a good start.

"Professor, aren't you going to give us extra points?" Ron asked naively. "Look how outstanding our Hermione is, just give us one extra point!"

Louis chuckled. "I don't have the authority to add points, but I can deduct them. How about it, Mr. Weasley, do you want to experience what it's like to have points deducted?"

"Uh, never mind," Ron replied awkwardly, eliciting a good-natured laugh.

A paper crane floated past his eyes.

It flew into Harry's hand.

Harry followed the direction the origami cranes came from and saw Draco winking at him.

He opened the origami crane, and on it was a magical drawing, in GIF format, depicting a little man wearing glasses, which was clearly him; there was also a Lothric zombie kissing the terrified little man.

Harry choked up, glaring angrily at Draco, still trying to figure out what to say back.
