Chapter 68 How to Deal with a Tsundere

Amidst the expectant gazes of his classmates, Louis opened the paper crane message, which bore his senior's signature. [For error-free chapter reading, search on Google]

It roughly means that he is currently waiting for him at the classroom door, as he has something to do after class.

He put away the paper cranes, only to be met with the gossipy gazes of his classmates.

"Professor, who is it?" Draco, who had just been blushing from Louis's teasing, instantly switched to a gossipy and teasing expression: "Let me guess, it must be Miss Worley, right? What does it say? Does it tell her to wait for her after school, Mr. Deer?"

"I remember what you just said, what was it?" Draco, oblivious to his own impending doom, looked at his Slytherin classmate beside him: "Slytherin origami cranes only fly to their beloved? I think Professor, you should stand up straight and boldly express your love like a man, instead of..."

"Slytherin, five points deducted for your foul mouth." Lewis interrupted him expressionlessly, issuing the highest order: "Also, report to Professor Snape's office every night, and be confined for a month."

"Finally, I should remind you that Miss Worley is right outside the door."

Draco instantly felt a chill run from his tailbone to the top of his head. His teeth chattered as he slowly turned his head to look at the door, where he saw Catherine's expressionless face.

He's doomed... Draco silently sentenced himself to death in his mind; even his father couldn't save him.

He sat in his seat, his legs trembling uncontrollably, his heart pounding. He seriously suspected that if his heart beat any harder, it would leap out of his throat and escape from his troublesome body.

If I had known this, why did I have to?

Upon seeing Catherine at the door, the students began to tuck their tails between their legs and attend to class, not daring to show even the slightest extra expression, lest they be spotted by Catherine...

They'd rather be locked up by Snape than offend Catherine—being hung upside down like that is no fun, that feeling of blood rushing to your head... tsk tsk.

It's so refreshing!

Surprisingly, after class, Catherine did not cause trouble for Draco.

Why are you looking for trouble? Draco actually said what she'd been wanting to say all along!

This silly ferret can be quite clever at times, Catherine thought to herself, giving Draco a mental thumbs-up.

It's a pity that the three little red squirrels were as well-behaved as the weasel. It's a waste of all the deer's efforts in raising them. Catherine gritted her teeth whenever she thought of Harry and his two companions.

And that beaver, with its fluffy hair, we have to keep a close watch on her, lest she steal the little deer's heart.

However, Louis really had absolutely no feelings for Hermione. He was neither a wolf nor a bear, so how could he possibly have any thoughts about a beaver?

So, after class, in full view of everyone, Catherine dragged Louis away by the hand.

"Hey, I haven't assigned any homework yet..." Louis said somewhat reluctantly.

But he had already been dragged to the auditorium by the senior student, and it was too late to assign homework.

"What do you want?" Louis didn't understand why his senior was in such a hurry to find him. "Can't we talk about it when we get back to the lounge?"

Catherine stared at him for a long while before asking, "This afternoon is the third-year Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Have you thought about how to teach this first lesson well?"

At this point, she realized something was wrong. How could she say such a thing in front of this scumbag? What if he misunderstood and thought she cared about him? Wouldn't that make him think he was all that?

"Don't misunderstand, I'm not concerned about you, I'm just worried that your teaching is inadequate and you're leading the students astray."

Catherine was clearly a little guilty when she said that.

How could Louis, that scumbag, not understand what his senior meant? He had already translated what Catherine had just said in his mind.

Don't misunderstand—you must understand.

I'm not just concerned about you—I am concerned about you.

I'm just worried about your teaching ability—nothing else matters to me.

It's almost as accurate as the translation of the BBK e-reader.

To deal with a tsundere, you just need to stroke their hair and smooth things over, but is Louis the kind of person who plays by the rules?

If he played by the rules, that wouldn't be him.

"So I'm that useless in Cathy's eyes." Louis's expression shifted from surprise to disbelief in an instant, then his face darkened and his voice fell. "I really can't believe that even you don't believe me... It's always been like this since I was little. No matter what I do, no matter how well prepared I am, Grandpa still..."

At this point, Louis, out of Catherine's sight, pinched himself hard, and the pain brought tears to his eyes.

Grandpa: Don't mention it, I've basically raised you all by yourself, okay?

Regardless of whether this tactic works for others, at least the senior's maternal love has been revealed.

At this moment, a wave of guilt washed over Catherine. She looked at Louis, whose eyes were red, with heartache and reached out to hold his hand.

"I'm sorry, Louis—" Even the fawn stopped chirping; Catherine seemed genuinely heartbroken. "I... of course I believe you. In my heart, you'll always be the... the best."

She forced herself to say the words that made her feel shy, just so that Louis wouldn't feel so sad.

"Really?" Louis squeezed out a pair of puppy-dog eyes that glistened with moisture. "You really think so?"

"Of course," Catherine nodded emphatically.

"So...do you like me?" Louis began to set a trap.

"Of course I like it..." Catherine realized something was wrong as she said this. She looked at Louis's barely suppressed upturned lips and knew exactly what was going on.

Realizing what had happened, she stomped on Louis's foot angrily: "I really misjudged you! You bastard! Shameless! Despicable little deer!"

Then she stormed out of the auditorium, leaving Louis sitting there regretfully.

Only then did the trio of Harry, Ron, and others dare to approach—as for Draco, he had long since returned to his dorm room, trembling with fear.

"Tsk... so close." Louis was filled with regret, muttering something the trio couldn't understand, thinking to himself, "If I had held back then, would the mission be finished by now?"

Just as I was regretting it, a sinister voice sounded from behind me.

"It seems Mr. Mountbatten is truly pleased?"

Turning around, he saw Snape staring at him with a gloomy expression, his large hooked nose making him appear even more ruthless.

While the other two were whispering to each other, Harry saw Snape and his mind was filled with Quirrell's words.

"If Snape hadn't been chanting a counter-spell to save your life, I would have killed you by throwing you to your death. Why did he referee your second match? He wanted to make sure I didn't hurt you again."
