I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts

Chapter 70 Just Spoil Him

Chapter 70 Just Spoil Him

Thunderous applause erupted from the audience and lasted for a long time.

The young wizards had never heard a speech before, let alone one as passionate and inspiring as Louis's. They clapped their hands vigorously until they were red and stinging, but they didn't want to stop.

Louis reached down and pressed down to stop the applause: "Some people may say that I have no ideals of changing the magical world or creating a new order. I understand you. Everyone has their own way of life. But I want to tell you that your reasons for learning Defense Against the Dark Arts go far beyond that."

Louis knew that it wasn't enough to just talk about distant ideals; he also needed to let them know that their current hardships were as fragile as duckweed in the wind.

"Think about it, when your parents, your siblings, your family fall victim to a dark wizard's curse because you didn't study hard enough, won't you regret it then, and wish you had put in even a little more effort in Defense Against the Dark Arts class?"

The students in the audience all looked thoughtful, and some even clenched their fists.

Even those students who hadn't been moved by Louis's "grand vision" before were now stirred up. After all, everyone has family and friends; orphans are still relatively few in the wizarding world.

Of course, this is not meant to be a reference to Scarface...

Louis knew it was time to strike while the iron was hot. He clenched his fists and shouted, "For the sake of our families and friends, we must study hard!"

"Study! Study! Study!" The students' atmosphere was completely stirred up.

Dumbledore, standing outside the door, didn't feel offended at all. Even when Louis dragged him out to be criticized, he was still happily eating his lemonade.

Actually, Louis really misunderstood him.

It can only be said that the situation at Hogwarts is complex and intertwined, with the Ministry of Magic, former Death Eaters, the Order of the Phoenix, and four neutral forces all entrenched in one another.

Some might ask, "If you, Dumbledore, are so powerful, why can't you just say what you mean based on your strength?"

That would ruin Dumbledore's persona.

Putting that aside, just as Lewis was about to begin teaching in the classroom, he heard the twins calling out, "Professor Mountbatten," one after the other.

"Can you beat Miss Worley?"

"I think you definitely can't."

Ah... Louis looked at Catherine, he really wasn't confident he could win.

Even with the bonuses from runeword items, he still couldn't win.

"Why don't you two have a duel?"

"Let's see what the new professor is capable of."

The Weasley twins are truly like potato starch, always thickening the world with starch.

With that talent for stirring up trouble, it would be a shame if he didn't go into diplomacy.

Louis saw the expectant looks from his classmates and, with no other choice, could only steel himself and look at Catherine: "What do you think, Miss Worley?"

Catherine rose gracefully and replied with a slight smile, "It's my pleasure, Professor."

The students stood in two rows according to their colleges, leaving a wide path in the middle.

Nobody wants to be accidentally injured in a battle between gods, or to be harmed by an unknown area-of-effect attack.

Louis's strength was known only to the Slytherin, but everyone had witnessed Catherine's curse.

Nobody wants to end up with a three-day trip to the medical wing.

The two walked together, raised their wands to their chests in a flash, performed the wizard duel salute, and then turned away cleanly and neatly, creating distance between them.

After bowing to each other, Louise gracefully and politely gestured for them to proceed.

"Ladies first, Miss Worley."

A true British gentleman.

Catherine didn't hold back, swinging her staff and unleashing a string of spells.

It seems... they really didn't hold back.

Even the third-year students had never seen such an intense wizard duel—their concept of wizard duels was still limited to wide-eyed shouts and sizzling fire—without implying to Potter that this was actually the case.

Even the Weasley twins, who are the strongest among them and aside from Catherine, are limited to minor curses like the "tooth-to-club" spell when they shoot at someone.

This duel was a visual feast. The two were no less powerful than adult wizards, their spells clashing back and forth in a thrilling display. Occasionally, a few spells were deflected by their armor, leaving craters in the ground and eliciting screams from the surrounding young wizards.

As for the ground... let's wait for Dumbledore to send someone to repair it. It's like paying for the demolition of the house at public expense, right?

It has some of the characteristics of a husky.

Dumbledore (biting a lollipop): I don't care, I have no money, don't look for me.

Three polite gestures.

After four or five minutes of fighting, Louis seized an opening, and with a flash of red light, successfully struck Catherine's wrist.

Her wand slipped from her hand, swirling and flying into Louis's grasp.

Upon witnessing this scene, all the students gasped in unison, their eyes glazed over as if they were dumbfounded.

No one could believe that a first-year student could defeat the Queen of Slytherin, the nightmare of the third-year students—Catherine Worre.

Similarly, no one dared to cheer, no one wanted to be the first to act, everyone knew that Louis's happiness might not necessarily protect them, and no one knew whether Catherine would become angry and take her anger out on them.

So everyone could only stand there like dumb geese.

"I'm completely convinced, Professor." Catherine puffed out her cheeks, looking adorably defiant.

Just spoil him...

"It was my luck, Ms. Worley." Louis walked over and returned the wand to her.

He subtly wiped away his cold sweat, glanced at his classmates, and breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, no one discovered the match-fixing—he was prepared to be hung up and humiliated.

To my utter surprise, Catherine actually gave him so much face.

"Alright, are you two satisfied now, Mr. Two Weasleys?" Louis walked back to the podium. "I sincerely hope you don't turn into a dozen Mr. Weasleys today."

The spells they learned in third grade were still shattering spells, and the monsters they faced were still undead. In terms of dark magic defense spells, they actually knew no more than first graders.

In Lewis's plan, the only difference between third grade and first grade is that the pace can be slightly faster.

That night, in the Room of Requirement, Louis was hung up by Catherine five times.

"Okay, okay, Casey, thank you for today..."

Before he could finish speaking, he was hung up again.

He was met with Catherine's cold gaze.

"You're welcome." Louis clicked his tongue. "I understand our relationship... saying thank you would be too formal."

Catherine's gaze softened slightly.

"See, you've calmed down now, so you can put me down, right?" Louis spread his hands.

Catherine then put him down.

She remembered what her mother had said: she must always give her man face in public.

It seems to be working quite well.

Catherine has always been a very competitive person.

"Silly little deer." Catherine's gaze was like a clear spring, gently washing over Louis's heart.

--------

Attending someone else's wedding and helping them tidy up their room is exhausting... There's still a ton of stuff to do, so it might be past midnight, maybe even later, depending on whether I get drunk... If I get drunk, I guess that's it.
