I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts
Chapter 84 Redemption
Chapter 84 Redemption
Louis didn't know what was wrong with him. When Catherine appeared, he felt the malice in his heart surging and crashing against his reason, tempting him to take action against Catherine.
I don't know when this malice started.
He couldn't remember if it was at home or with Catherine.
He is now almost completely dominated by this inexplicable negative emotion.
Consequently, Catherine's pretty face also appeared repulsive.
He slowly raised his wand, intending to cast the spell that could corrupt the soul.
"Come...embrace your destiny, Louis..."
A voice whispered in his ear, like a sympathetic whisper, enticing the malice within him.
Catherine held Luna's wand, her heart wavering.
She is now in a dilemma, fearing that Louis will lose control, and also worried that her spell will hurt him.
Now, there's more regret than anything else.
If she had sensed something was wrong as soon as Louis walked in and said a few kind words, would things have turned out differently?
Catherine felt a pang of pain in her heart.
There's no use thinking about it anymore; the matter is already settled. The most urgent thing is to find a way to control Louis and prevent him from going berserk. We can deal with the issues between the two of them later.
What should I do?!
"There's one last way," Luna said softly, seemingly reading Catherine's mind. "It can guarantee Mr. Mountbatten's safety, but... this method is extremely dangerous."
She hesitated for a moment, unsure whether she should say it or not.
"Stop keeping me in suspense," Catherine pressed anxiously.
"Do you trust him?" Luna's tone was serene, as if she were talking about something impossible.
Anyone can see from the current situation that this problem is pure nonsense.
Anyone else would have questioned whether Luna was crazy.
But Catherine nodded without hesitation.
"The harassing flies are pets kept by the demon Shuzpaf. They act as Shuzpaf's vanguard in sowing discord among others, exploiting people's barriers and influencing the minds of victims in unfathomable other dimensions."
This is the Worley family's library, a book called "Cain's Notebook," which contains countless pieces of information about demons.
She had forgotten about the book, but Louis mentioned the Blue-Eyed Demon recently, so Catherine read it again to find information about it.
Unfortunately, even after searching through this massive work, which can be considered an encyclopedia of demons, no information about blue-eyed demons could be found.
Forget about blue-eyed demons, none of the demons in this book have blue eyes.
Now, Catherine finally remembered what the harassing horsefly described in the book was.
She returned the wand to Luna and, meeting Louis's gaze, walked towards him steadily and slowly.
Catherine's gaze was pure and intense, as warm as the spring sunshine. Her mind was completely free of any other thoughts, not even the slightest suspicion or wariness.
She let down her guard, discarding all her so-called pride and restraint. This was the little deer she held dear in her heart, and she wanted to embrace Louis with this pure heart.
"A heart that believes is the best magic," Luna murmured, uttering a seemingly random phrase.
Louis was also stunned. He was extremely sensitive to negative emotions, but he couldn't sense even the slightest bit of what could be called "negative" emotion from Catherine.
The originally unwavering "destructive" mentality has gradually softened without my realizing it.
Catherine's face was no longer hideous and distorted, but gradually overlapped with the image of her that she had in her heart.
Louis held his wand, feeling no desire to take any further action, and simply watched her walk towards him like a wooden puppet.
He was also torn between two conflicting thoughts, which eventually came to a conclusion.
His hand holding the wand was taken by Catherine, who stepped forward, and then he was embraced by her.
"Little Deer, I'm so sorry." She lowered her head and whispered in his ear as they nuzzled against each other.
Louis's expression kept changing, and the voice in his mind increased its input volume, repeating itself over and over, trying to make him submit to a "great will".
But it seemed terrified of another intense and pure whisper, and slowly, the voice grew softer and softer until it could no longer control its emotions.
And so, the two embraced for a long time.
Finally, amidst the unwilling roar of the voice's owner, Louis spoke.
"I'm the one who should apologize, Casey."
He wrapped his arms tightly around Catherine's waist.
The whole world seemed to have lost its color; in their eyes, there was only each other.
"No, it's not your fault. It's the devil who's sowing discord." Catherine tried to smooth over Louis's guilt, attempting to absolve him of responsibility in just a few words.
"Ultimately, it was because I had a negative view of you first, otherwise he wouldn't have had the opportunity to take advantage of me." Louis didn't want to avoid his question.
Identifying the problem is the best way to solve it; avoidance will never truly solve the problem.
While avoidance may be helpful, it doesn't solve the underlying problem.
But untimely voices soon followed.
"I need to remind you both, the weather seems a bit off..."
It was Luna, tugging at their clothes to remind them.
The two were then shocked to realize that the woodland they were in had been stained with blood.
As far as the eye could see, there was only a blood-red light curtain. Unease, oppression, fear and other negative emotions rushed in. Above them was a semi-circular arch, filled with an eerie, dark red light that slowly moved to the top and then dispersed. Perhaps it was the light reflecting off the ground, but the ground beneath their feet was a dark red, like thick, congealed blood, sending chills down their spines.
Louis tried picking up a rock and throwing it at the light barrier. The rock hit the light barrier and fell to the ground without making a sound.
Okay, it looks like a turtle shell with all-encompassing protection.
"The situation seems to be getting out of hand."
Catherine had just taken out her wand when she heard Luna's reminder.
"Are you really going to do this? You'll only attract more harassing horseflies."
Catherine was in high spirits after clearing up the misunderstanding with Louis. She regained her proud demeanor as the Queen of Slytherin, snorted, and said arrogantly, "I can cast spells without a wand."
"I think we should pass," Louis said, offering a timely reminder. "This kind of thing probably doesn't reside in either of our wands."
"You mean...?" The quick-witted Catherine understood Louis's meaning immediately. Her phoenix eyes widened in disbelief.
"How...how is this possible?" She still couldn't accept it.
"This could very well be a massive conspiracy, not just targeting me... Besides, I don't think I have any value that would make me a target for hell," Louis said with a deep gaze.
"Have you forgotten what your mother did?" Catherine reminded her. "Hell may hate your mother to the core, and I don't think you're not worth targeting."
"Oh, this..." Louis suddenly realized that he had almost forgotten about his mother.
What kind of mother is this bad for her son? Louis was speechless and asked the heavens.
All he wants to do now is to tell the devils, citing legal provisions, that there is no legal obligation for children to repay their parents' debts.
