As the sun set, its orange-red rays slanted in through the window, casting warm patches of light on the floor. When Zhang's mother opened the door, she was carrying two plastic bags, one containing vegetables and the other containing several fish.

She changed into her slippers and looked up to see that there was another person in the living room.

Shen Yugang, hands in his pockets, walked at a leisurely pace, following Zhang Ying on his right. "Brother Ying, what are we going to do?"

"I'll let you meet someone." Zhang Ying's voice was very calm.

Shen Yugang turned his head to look at him, then turned back. "Who are you seeing?"

"My lover," Zhang Ying said briefly, "is a good opportunity for her to see your condition."
