The Heavens: One World, One Superpower

Chapter 111 Trouble Never Ends

The Li family patriarch was furious: "Did you kill my son?" He immediately activated his natal magic weapon, a blue-red flying sword that shot out and swiftly stabbed towards Su Chen.

Without a word, Su Chen formed a hand seal. Instantly, a phantom of a Devouring Demon Jar appeared above his head, from which nine chains of divine order shot out, quickly binding the incoming magical artifact and pulling it into the jar. Crack! Crack! The flying sword shattered, transforming into streams of pure energy that scattered and were rapidly absorbed by Su Chen.

The Li family patriarch was terrified. "Attack! All of you!" He retreated swiftly, transforming into a streak of light and flying away. Su Chen's displayed strength made him realize he couldn't handle him, and he immediately wanted to escape. But could he really get away?

Su Chen smiled coldly. The Devouring Demon Jar in the sky emitted an extremely powerful suction force. The cultivators below felt their divine power go out of control and leave their bodies. Not only did their magical artifacts fly away, but their own bodies were also lifted into the air. Soon, they were all sucked into the Devouring Demon Jar and crushed into pieces by the power of the laws inside.

The Li family patriarch, who had just flown a short distance, suddenly noticed nine chains of divine order extending from the void, emanating black energy. They swiftly bound him and pulled him into the void. The next moment, he found himself in a magnificent, boundless, and endless space filled with mysterious runes. As the runes flickered, his divine power, flesh, bones, meridians, and even his clothing rapidly disintegrated. Without even uttering a scream, only one thought flashed through his mind: "What kind of person has my son offended?"

Su Chen glanced at Old Man Jiang and Jiang Tingting below. The latter was trembling and had fallen to the ground, her face filled with shock and terror. He thought to himself, "I can't stay here any longer." He then transformed into a streak of light, countless runes spreading beneath his feet, and vanished in an instant, disappearing several miles away. When he reappeared, he was already in a boundless mountain range.

This place is teeming with demonic beasts, and cultivators frequently venture in to hunt them. At the outer edge of the mountain range lies a large city; the demon-hunting cultivators bring their physical bodies back to the city to exchange for cultivation resources. Su Chen surveyed the entire mountain range, which stretched for tens of thousands of miles, at a glance. He found a cave in its central area and planned to build his own cultivation abode there.

Suddenly, a beam of white divine light shot out. Su Chen didn't dodge; instead, he reached out and caught the light in his palm, then flung it back. The light shot back even faster, shattering a section of the mountain range into pieces. A figure flew out from that spot, holding an ancient bronze mirror from which the divine light emanated. This person stared intently at Su Chen. "Boy, if you know what's good for you, hand over your treasures." It turned out he was a reclusive cultivator living in seclusion in this area, and seeing Su Chen's young age, he had decided to kill him and steal his treasures.

Su Chen smiled slightly, "The cultivation world is truly a mess, with people constantly trying to disturb us." His eyes flashed red, instantly unleashing two beams of heat. Seeing this, the man used his ancient bronze mirror to shield himself, activating it to emit white divine light. However, the moment the white divine light touched the heat beams, it melted away like snow, quickly retreating. The heat beams struck the bronze mirror, shattering it and piercing the man's skull.

Su Chen appeared beside the corpse, pressing his right hand against it. A suction force instantly disintegrated the body and its magical artifacts, forming a circular essence in no time. It shone brightly, containing incredibly dense divine power. Simultaneously, the essence he had extracted from the group in Qingfeng Town condensed into five essence beads. He still felt some resistance and didn't absorb them.
