I manufacture weapons in the Middle East and am wanted globally?

Chapter 37: Making money without spending it is worse than being dead~

After finishing his phone call, Chen Zheng went into the cave.

I feel incredibly bored.

Moreover, the noise from the generator and CNC machine tool is very loud.

But surprisingly, the "oxen and horses" inside were completely unaffected.

Four-Eyes and Frog each guarded a DMG MORI machine, Bald Head and Chiang Kai-shek were at the Haas machine shop, Niu Yi and Niu Er were in the lathe area, and Niu San and Niu Si were at the deep hole drill shop. Everyone was doing their own thing and no one was bothering anyone else.

The assembly area was at the very back, where a laborer was squatting on the ground, piecing together the freshly produced parts one by one: receiver, barrel, bolt carrier, recoil spring, trigger assembly, magazine catch, and rear sight mount.

This assembly speed…

It puts even professional soldiers to shame.

Chen Zheng took out his phone and opened the Monster Factory app.

Against a dark background, the fanged monster in the upper left corner still stares wide-eyed.

The number in the "Regional Influence" column has changed—352/2000. He remembered that the last time he looked at it, it was less than two hundred; now it has doubled.

At this rate, it won't be long before I reach level three.

He shoved his phone back into his pocket and called out, "Frog!"

Frog poked its head out from behind the new DMG MORI, its long ears perked up, it pushed up its glasses, and trotted over.

"I'm going on a long trip and will be back in two or three days."

The frog nodded.

"In the next two or three days, find a large rock to block the entrance of the hole."

Frog thought for a moment, then held up four fingers to indicate: "Given the size of the opening, it would take about two tons of stone to completely seal it. There are a few suitable stones about fifty meters outside the cave; we can have Baldy and the others bring them over."

"You can arrange it."

Tianji pushed up his glasses: "Boss, there's one more thing."

"We need gun oil, as well as rust inhibitor, lubricant, and cleaning agents. The finished products we have now come out without rust prevention treatment, so they will start to oxidize after a few days. The dry climate in Syria is fine, but if customers use them in coastal areas or places with high humidity, the inner wall of the barrel and the inside of the receiver are prone to rust."

"Furthermore, our current product surface treatment is just bare steel, without phosphate, bluing, or any coating. It looks new when you receive it, but it won't look good after two months. Customers may not care, but if our competitors have done surface treatment, customers can tell who is more professional just by comparing them. It's a matter of reputation."

Chen Zheng frowned slightly after hearing this.

This is indeed a problem.

Guns from small workshops jam after firing a few shots and rust after a few months, but customers don't care because they're buying cheap stuff.

It is said that guns in India are like this.

But the guns Chen Zheng made certainly wouldn't have this problem.

But surface treatment is still very important. After all... would you like it if your wife had calluses on her hands?

Anyone who has handled guns knows that many new guns come with gun oil, so when you take them out, the gun is covered in oil. Of course, I'm referring to the kind issued by the military.

I bought it from a gun shop... they've already cleaned it for me.

"Write it down." Chen Zheng took out a pen and a piece of paper from his pocket and handed them to Tian Ji. "Write down everything you need, one by one."

Tianji took the pen, squatted down, placed the paper on his knees, and began to write.

[Rust-proof lubricants]

Gun oil - 50 liters

Volatile rust inhibitor - 100 liters

Molybdenum disulfide grease - 10 kg

Bearing grease - 20 kg

[Surface Treatment Category]

Phosphating solution - 200 liters

Blueing tank - 1 set

Cleaning products

Carbon removal agent - 50 liters

Copper Remover - 50 liters

Cotton yarn - 200 kg

After finishing writing, it handed the paper to Chen Zheng.

Chen Zheng took it, glanced at it, and his lips twitched.

Phosphating solution, bluing tank. This is no longer an auxiliary material; it's for an entire surface treatment line.

He folded the paper, stuffed it into his pocket, and nodded. "I'll think of something."

Tianji pushed up his glasses, said nothing more, turned around and walked back to Demaji to continue working.

Chen Zheng stood at the cave entrance, took one last look at the eight machine tools running inside and the nine busy laborers and skilled workers, then turned around and crawled out of the cave.

The sunlight outside shone down directly, making him squint. In March in the Beka Valley, the daytime temperature had already risen, and the air was filled with the dry scent of grass and wood, mixed with the fishy smell of the Yamuk River in the distance.

He walked over to the truck and knocked on the driver's side window.

dong dong dong.

The car window rolled down, and Li Yang's tanned face peeked out. His hair was messy, and there was still sleep in the corner of his eyes; he looked like he had just woken up.

"Brother Chen!" He rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

"Get ready, we're going to Beirut today."

Li Yang paused for a moment, then nodded hurriedly: "Okay!" He jumped out of the driver's seat, his knees bent when he landed, and he almost lost his balance. He held onto the car door to steady himself.

Chen Zheng took out a wad of US dollars from his pocket, didn't even fold it, and handed it over directly.

"Your salary."

Li Yang's eyes lit up immediately.

He took it with both hands; it was thick and heavy.

Damn, these sanitary napkins are thicker than the ones from the girl I hired three months ago!!!

"Thank you, Brother Chen! Thank you, Brother Chen!"

Li Yang held the banknotes in his hands, examining them several times. His smile turned slightly embarrassed: "Brother Chen, I've only been working here a few days, this is too much..."

Chen Zheng patted him on the shoulder and said with a smile, "If you follow me, would I let you suffer? Things are tough now, but I'll make sure you live a life of luxury from now on!"

Li Yang nodded vigorously, carefully stuffed the stack of US dollars into his inner pocket, patted it to make sure it wouldn't fall out, and then his whole body seemed to spring into action, his energy instantly energized.

Chen Zheng smiled, turned around and walked to the Corolla, opening the car door.

Khalid was still leaning back in the passenger seat, his head tilted to one side, his mouth slightly open, emitting soft snoring.

Chen Zheng got into the driver's seat, closed the door, and started the engine.

The diesel engine roared to life, and Khalid jolted awake, his head bobbing up.

"What's wrong? What's wrong?!" He looked around frantically, his hand already touching the handle of the gun behind his waist.

"It's okay." Chen Zheng shifted into reverse and stepped on the gas. "To Beirut."

Khalid breathed a sigh of relief, removed his hand from the gun handle, bent down to pick up the pita bread from the footpad, blew off the dust, popped it into his mouth, chewed a couple of times, and mumbled, "What are we going to Beirut for?"

"A few friends from China came, so I went to pick them up. I also took the opportunity to relax in Beirut."

Chen Zheng turned the steering wheel, the Corolla turned around, and drove down the gravel road. "What's the difference between making money and not spending it, and masturbating with a condom on?"

Li Yang, sitting in the back seat, chuckled.

Khalid laughed too, "Beirut is great, Beirut has everything. I've been cooped up in Dera for almost half a year, it's time to get out and get some fresh air."

The car drove out of the valley, turned onto the highway leading to Zahle, and then onto the Damascus road from Zahle, heading west (literally west, not the title of the show).

The area around the milk tea shop is still peaceful.

Who can fight to the death against bubble tea shops?

Damn it, are you looking for trouble?

Occasionally, a few pickup trucks would drive by, with people in civilian clothes sitting in the back, some carrying guns, but no one stopped them. When they reached the checkpoint, Khalid rolled down the window, chatted briefly with the guard in Arabic, and was waved through.

The Bekaa Valley is less than 70 kilometers from Beirut.

It only took a little over an hour to get there, and by the time we arrived, it was just in time for lunch.

This city is unlike any other city in Syria.

When entering the city from Damascus Road, the first thing you see are tall buildings, truly modern tall buildings, with glass curtain walls glittering in the sunlight. Some of the buildings have huge "GG" signs on their rooftops, in Arabic, French, and English, all in a colorful array.

Shops lined both sides of the street, selling everything imaginable. Mannequins in the fashion boutiques wore the latest styles, while people sat chatting and drinking coffee outside the cafes next door, their parasols adorned with European brand logos.

The traffic on the roadside became denser, with Toyotas, Mercedes-Benzes, BMWs, Peugeots, and all sorts of brands, and horns blared incessantly.

Li Yang pressed his face against the car window, his eyes wide open and his mouth half-open, like Grandma Liu entering the Grand View Garden.

"This place... is completely different from Delaware," he murmured.

"Lebanon is the Paris of the Middle East."

Khalid leaned back in his chair. "This place is a mixed bag, and many things are very developed, including sex. If you need it, you can find a house in a good school district for $200 tonight."

"School district housing?"

Li Yang was taken aback and didn't understand. He really didn't know, after all, before joining the team, he was just a driver.

"Don't say that!" Chen Zheng shouted, frowning, then looked at Li Yang, "Don't get involved in school district housing; it's easy to end up in jail!"

Li Yang didn't understand, but he was obedient and nodded vigorously.

"Go find a few big banks first."

Carola drove around the streets of Beirut.

Chen Zheng stopped to take a look whenever he saw a large bank.

BLOM Bank, Byblos Bank, Beirut Bank, Franza Bank, Audi Bank—these are some of the top banks in Lebanon. Let's look at them one by one.

There were people sitting in front of each bank; some were shoe shiners, some were selling phone cards, and some were just sitting idly.

Chen Zheng was not satisfied with any of them.

The car drove onto a slightly quieter street, where a row of old-fashioned French buildings stood, with beige exteriors, green shutters, and flowerpots on the balconies planted with bougainvillea, their crimson flowers in full bloom.

The bank had a small storefront with a dark green sign bearing its name in Arabic and French.

Credit Libanais!

This is a relatively well-known "family-owned bank" in Beirut; it's not a large, small bank.

A young man was sitting on the steps at the entrance.

A stack of newspapers lay on his lap, a Pepsi was on the ground to his left, and a Coca-Cola was on his right.

Chen Zheng parked the car on the side of the road and turned off the engine.

He turned his head and gestured with his chin towards the young man.

"Khalid, go tell that kid to go to the internet cafe outside Hamra Street and tell him I want to take a shower, and I need to get really clean."

Khalid's eyebrows twitched.

I immediately understood what it meant!

We also learned what this young man did for a living: a "financial broker," locally known as a "Mudabbir"!

It's for money laundering, damn it.

$18 cannot be deposited into any bank in Beirut.

Since 2011, the CIA and other intelligence agencies have been conducting anti-money laundering operations against Beirut.

Furthermore, the rule stipulates that no individual can deposit more than US$1 per month in any bank!

You can't carry that 18 with you all the time, can you?

Wouldn't it be upsetting if someone stole it?

Robbery is a traditional craft.

Back then, in China, it was written: "Robbery on the road is illegal and punishable by death!"

But where there's a will, there's a way, and that's how these financial brokers came to be.

How did Chen Zheng know?

They were openly and honestly betting GG on the forum!

Khalid opened the car door, straightened his jacket collar, and walked towards the young man in front of the bank.

Chen Zheng sat in the car, rolled down the window a crack, lit a cigarette, and watched Khalid talking to the young man.

Khalid walked over, squatted down next to the young man, took a cigarette out of his pocket and handed it to him. The young man took it, put it in his mouth, and Khalid lit it for him.

The two men squatted there in front of the bank, smoking and chatting for a bit. Khalid spoke casually, as if discussing the weather. The young man listened without much change in expression, took a drag of his cigarette, and nodded.

Khalid stood up, patted the young man on the shoulder, turned around, walked back, opened the car door, and got into the passenger seat.

"We'll be there in half an hour."

"How much?"

"Twelve percent."

"Damn it, it's precious!" Chen Zheng muttered under his breath, frowning.

"A skilled worker, there's no other way," Khalid said with a smile.

Chen Zheng gestured to Li Yang to drive, and they slowly drove towards the internet cafe in the Hamla district.

Then I saw a middle-aged man at the entrance of the internet cafe, holding a Pepsi in his hand.

Pepsi means that the order has been accepted.

When the other person saw the Corolla, Chen Zheng also saw him and opened the window.

The middle-aged man walked over, smiling, and said, "Hello, boss."

"I have $18 to launder, how long will it take?"

The middle-aged man glanced at the time and said, "I'll get you washed within half an hour!"

"What are you planning to do?"

"I have 10 'runners' under me, each given $10,000 to $15,000 in cash, along with a slip of paper with the bank name and account number. These accounts are dormant accounts that have been prepared in advance, and different runners simultaneously deposit money into different bank branches in Beirut. Each deposit is kept under $9,500."

"I bribed a teller or lobby manager at each bank beforehand. The runner only needed to hand over the money and account number to the insider, who would deposit it directly into the account without even triggering any inquiries."

The middle-aged man smiled and said, "After all the errands are completed and the deposits are made, my partner will use an internal bank to transfer the money in these dormant accounts internally, merging them into four or five transactions before transferring them to the real account you, the boss, designate."

"Each transfer should have a note with common names like 'payment for goods,' 'service fee,' or 'family allowance.' Since these are internal transfers within the same bank and the amounts are small, they are unlikely to trigger anti-money laundering systems!"

Chen Zheng nodded slowly, "It sounds very professional, but don't try to fool me."

Money laundering and double-crossing are all too common!

Lu Guoping in Genesis did this many times.

Therefore, those who run gray market businesses in the Middle East, once they become large enough, will all establish their own money laundering channels.

The people selling ecstasy in Mexico are the same.

Oh, and those cults in Japan and South Korea are like that too.

The middle-aged man's expression remained unchanged: "Boss, I've been here for the past half hour. If the money hasn't arrived, you can kill me."

That's a very strong statement.

Chen Zheng looked up at the other person, nodded, glanced at his watch, and said, "Let's begin!"

The middle-aged man took the travel bag, then took out his phone and made a call. Then he saw a group of young people running over, all of them wearing slippers.

He doesn't look very old.

The middle-aged man took out some money and handed it to the other person, along with a piece of paper with an account number written on it.

Those kids looked like they did this often; they took the money and ran off like lightning.

The Middle East has its own way of life.
