Chapter 81 Rosaro

"I've figured it out."

Tesla glanced at the data on the draft paper in front of him.

"The more magic capacitors there are, the longer the charging time will be, taking into account the magic energy required to maintain the magic orbit and the magic energy consumed by the magic capacitors themselves."

The optimal configuration is a track seven to eight meters long and twenty-five to thirty magic capacitors, but charging takes twenty-five seconds. A conservative estimate is a speed of around Mach 12.

"That's fine." Xia nodded. "It should be usable as a crucial backup plan."

Tesla stared silently at the data before him, seemingly lost in thought. "No, it can be optimized."

"It can be optimized?" Xia opened his eyes wide. "How?"

"Have you forgotten the purpose of your storage space?" Tesla turned to look at Char. "You don't need to store batteries; just skip the charging step and store the magic capacitors."

Xia was taken aback, but then a fleeting glint of light flashed in his eyes. "So the charging time can be compressed to zero seconds, and it can be stacked even higher?"

"There is a limit," Tesla said.

"Even if you made those capacitors in advance, you still have to control their discharge at the same time, which requires a lot of mental strength from you."

Moreover, the more capacitors there are, the more difficult it becomes to connect them in parallel, as there will be slight timing differences between them. Even a difference of only 0.001 seconds can cause the voltage of the capacitor that discharges first to drop sharply, while the voltage of the capacitor that discharges later will be higher.

High voltage can "flow back" to low voltage. Energy is converted into heat during internal friction, which can result in a significant reduction in power or even cause the capacitor to explode.

We need to think of a solution.

Tesla stroked his chin. "This is where our research will go next."

Xia nodded thoughtfully.

Tesla said nothing more, picked up his pen again, and began drawing a new loop diagram on the paper.

The sparse sounds gradually blended into the darkening sky outside the window.

When they left the alchemy workshop, it was already dark.

Mist was rising from the distant valley, and the wind blew through the corridor, carrying the scent of grass and earth, and was cool and refreshing.

Tesla walked ahead, his footsteps echoing softly in the empty corridor.

"Are there so few alchemists in this school? How come there isn't a single one?" Xia muttered.

Tesla pointed to the workshops on this floor, "This floor is basically the private workshops of the gold families. The public alchemy workshops are on the other side, where there are more people."

He paused for a moment, then said, "However, when I came here this morning, I did see someone at the entrance of the potion workshop. She was a very tall and elegant lady."

"A very tall and elegant lady?" Xia turned his head, glanced at Tesla, and teased, "When did you start paying attention to these things?"

Tesla paused for a moment, but didn't turn around. The corridor was silent for two seconds, broken only by the sound of the wind blowing in the distance.

"I'm just stating the facts," he said, his tone as calm as if he were reading a lab report.

Xia Ya smiled slightly and didn't ask any further questions.

They quickly went downstairs and headed towards the castle.

However, what they didn't know was that right behind them, in the open corridor on the second floor of Nostrada Castle, a pair of eyes were quietly watching them. It was a rather tall woman, probably 1.9 meters tall in high heels.

A long black dress with a floral pattern, slightly cinched at the waist, outlining an almost flamboyant figure.

A black veil covered the upper half of her face, revealing only a rosy red lip that looked exceptionally alluring in the moonlight.

The mist flowed around her unusually slowly, as if it had solidified.

"Rosaro".

An aged voice came from the end of the corridor.

The woman called Rosaro slowly turned her head and saw Meredith appear there at some point, walking towards him, with Byrne beside her.

"Why didn't you tell me you were going back to the Tower of Truth?"

Meredith quickly arrived beside Rosaro and followed her gaze, soon spotting Tesla and Char, who was already following behind him.

"The young man behind that old man is Xia Ya, the personal disciple of the newly arrived Archmage," Meredith introduced.

"Einstein?" Rosaro murmured the name. "The one... who told Monra that light is both a wave and a particle?"

Meredith nodded. "That's right."

Rosaro let out a very soft whisper from her throat, "Interesting..."

She looked in the direction they were walking, and from there she could see directly the villa where Xia and the others lived.

"Over there...I remember that's Nostradamus's villa, right?"

Meredith shrugged. "He's not coming back anyway."

"It's not just that he won't come back..." Rosaro murmured softly.

"Did you notice the old man next to that young man?" Meredith suddenly asked.

Rosaro frowned slightly, wondering why Meredith would suddenly bring this up.

"I saw him this morning; he even nodded at me. A third-tier mage."

"No..." Meredith lowered her voice and said, "Bourne said... that might also be a sixth-order, or... or higher."

Rosaro did not speak.

"He instantly improved my Lightning Hand configuration." Byrne's expression was grave. "At his age, to have such a keen sense of truth, he must be at least at the fifth rank or higher."

Seeing that Rosaro still did not respond, Byrne quickly added.

"Moreover, yesterday he created a new magic using a new theory." Bourne's expression was very serious. "A theory that could extend into an entire system. He said that electricity and magnetism are actually two states of the same thing. I went back and verified it, and it is indeed true."

"Einstein probably taught him that," Rosaro said calmly. "It's normal for someone like that to have one or two systems of their own."

"No. He said it was created by a man named Faraday."

"Faraday?" Rosaro frowned slightly, glancing at the silent Meredith to the side. "Who is it?"

Meredith shook his head, indicating that he didn't know either, then added, "But I don't think they had any reason to lie to Bourne."

"If this is a real person..." Meredith looked at Rosaro with a serious expression, "you should know what this means."

Rosaro gazed silently at Meredith. Although her eyes were covered by a veil, anyone could feel the gaze coming through it.

After a brief silence, she uttered a single word.

"That's impossible."

"I saw it with my own eyes!" Bourne said somewhat hastily, as if he wanted to explain something.

Meredith raised his hand, stopping him from continuing.

"Although my apprentice is dull-witted, he rarely lies."

The corridor was quiet for a while, and a gentle breeze made Rosaro's gauze curtains sway softly.

Then she spoke.

I'll go see them tomorrow.
