"Lost history?"

Grace's eyes lit up; she loved hearing stories like this.

However, unlike him, the more mature and experienced Elisa and Joel were mostly skeptical.

The two were not very convinced that the owner of a roadside shop could really tell them about some distant, unknown history.

However... since the other party said it was information about the [Dorn Dungeon], the two of them didn't say anything sarcastic, but they could listen without any harm.

"Miss Grace must have obtained the [Tears of Farewell] from the [Taifa Dungeon], right?"

Rogge asked the question he already knew the answer to.

Grace nodded obediently and added, "I got it from a merchant named Patch."

"Oh, Patch... a familiar name."

Roger smiled and said, "I didn't expect that he actually survived the Deep Sea Era and is still alive today."

"Manager, do you know Mr. Patch?" Grace couldn't help but ask.

"I know him. He's a veteran." Roger didn't say much about Patch and began his own story.

"Now that you've already been to the [Tefal Dungeon], you three must already know the story of Gwyn, the Lord of the Sun, the Witch of Izalith, and the First Dead Nito, who joined forces to fight the Ancient Dragons and usher in the Age of Fire, right?"

The three nodded.

"Then, as you all probably know, the glory of the Age of Fire was not eternal."

Because the fire will eventually go out; this is the law of the world, the fate of all living beings.

Even though Gwyn, the Lord of the Sun, sacrificed himself and the Silver Knights to fuel the fire, and established the Great Pilgrimage to Link the Flame, it only delayed the flame's extinguishing.

"So, what does all this have to do with the [Dorn Dungeon]?"

Elisa countered with a question.

"Because these two underground cities were once one, but were later separated, both of them hold secrets of the past."

Roger made a startling statement.

Elisa blurted out instinctively, "How is this possible!"

"Why not?" Roger asked with a smile. "Leman City has only been established for a few hundred years, while each of the 16 underground cities in the Katachon Wasteland has existed for at least a thousand years."

"It's not written in the history books..."

Roger interrupted Elisa: "Perception can be distorted, history can be rewritten, and future generations can never truly understand the past."

Elisa was speechless for a moment and could not refute.

The war between the surface order and the underground chaos lasted for far too long. Only after underground cities began to appear on a large scale a thousand years ago did the intensity of the war begin to decrease, and history gradually became clear.

The more distant history has long been buried in the river of time, and perhaps only gods and immortal monsters who have lived for thousands of years know the details.

Obviously, such important intelligence could not be written in history books.

An absurd thought arose in Elisa's mind: perhaps what she had witnessed in the [Taifa Dungeon] was indeed history from the past?

The thought was forcibly suppressed as soon as it arose; even unofficial histories couldn't be this outrageous.

"No one knows how long the pilgrimage to link the flame lasted, or how many powerful beings threw themselves into the primordial furnace, burning their souls and bodies, just to continue the world."

But all this was in vain. Even though some nations began to dismember the undead, drain their blood, and then let terrifying creatures devour them alive, they could not stop the number of undead with the Dark Ring from increasing.

The curse of immortality spread rapidly, and more and more people lost their humanity and souls in the cycle of life and death, becoming living corpses and ghosts.

Several of you should have seen the Blighttown of the [Taifa Dungeon] and met its inhabitants; they were all affected by the Curse of Undying.

Heroic, tragic, and terrifying...

The three people who had experienced the diseased village felt the same way.

"Okay, we've gotten a bit off-topic."

Rogge finally shifted the topic to the Dungeons of Dorne themselves.

"The first level of the underground city's prison recorded the final moments before the fire was extinguished, as well as the last madness of the legendary kingdom of Lothric before its destruction."

The second level of the tomb, however, represents a completely new world that emerged after the Deep Sea Age…

... "

……

About twenty minutes later, the three members of the SilverAsh Squad walked out of the store with a mix of emotions on their faces, including shock, confusion, and bewilderment.

The three of them felt overwhelmed by the amount of information they received. The heat generated by their brains working at high speed quickly accumulated, forcing Elisa to raise her staff and cast a spell called "Frostbite".

A chill crept up the three of them, forcing them to calm down.

"Wow...it's so cold..."

Grace rubbed her hands together; as a half-merman, she wasn't used to the cold.

As they left the store and walked down the street, the three began to talk about everything that had just happened.

"Do you really believe what the store manager said?" Elisa asked her teammates.

"Fifty-fifty," Joel shrugged. "Whether it's true or false doesn't affect our normal exploration and dungeon raiding, right?"

"Where's Grace?" Elisa asked, looking at the white-haired priestess in the group.

"Well……"

Grace scratched her head: "I do trust the shop manager, and..."

At this point, Grace said excitedly, "The shopkeeper even told me the story of that Sun Knight's hometown!"

The knights from the kingdom of Astra are all upright, especially the Sun Knights who worship the sun and are the most helpful.

However, Astra perished before the curse of immortality could spread.

They perished at the hands of a powerful evil spirit called "Evil Eye".

Although in the end, an unnamed powerful figure sealed the evil spirit within the ring, Astra was still shattered, and the remaining knights were scattered across the land.

Although it was just a story about the hometown of the Sun Knight, Grace was already satisfied.

"Fine... I don't believe that guy's nonsense anyway."

Elisa still didn't believe everything Roger had just said.

"Let's see if the strategy that guy pulls out tomorrow will work. If it doesn't..."

Elisa's fingers cracked as she clenched them: "I'm going to make him return all the money!"

……

Inside the shop, as dusk approached, Rogge summoned his servants to hang a sign at the entrance announcing the shop was temporarily closed and to disperse the adventurers who were still queuing.

As the crowd dispersed, the servant knelt before Rogge on one knee: "My lord."

"I'm going out for a walk and keeping an eye on the shop."

Roger got up and walked towards the door.

"My lord, please allow me to follow you."

The servant hurriedly stood up, but Roger stopped him: "I told you, keep an eye on the shop."

Cold sweat trickled down the pale-skinned servant's face. He quickly lowered his head: "I didn't mean to disobey your orders, sir..."

Rogge ignored the servant's explanation, who had been hit by Horak's fifth-circle spell [Dominate Human], and left the shop.

As Rogge strolled through the city of Leman, which was gradually coming to life with its lights on, he pondered where to go next.

Until he saw the legendary cat-eared girl standing at the entrance of a tavern...
