Hell has invaded, but my Hextech is invincible!
Chapter 70 The Nameless Hero
Chapter 70 The Nameless Hero (2/3)
"Hahahaha! Hextech, from now on, wherever you go, you will be the target of demons, spending your remaining days in despair and fear!"
With the curse of Calodos, it was finally dragged to the other side of the door.
Before Hextech could even catch its breath, the instant the door closed, a devastating torrent of energy surged forth from the crack in the world barrier. Energy, laws, and causality intertwined wildly at that moment, before erupting violently!
The raging energy vortex, powerful enough to crush anything tangible, hurtled straight toward Hextech.
Without the slightest hesitation, Hex turned around abruptly and shielded Inessa tightly beneath him, using his own back to absorb all the impact.
Fortunately, the Hell Spire collapsed, and the Hellfire that had been burning Hextech instantly dissipated.
His health points began to rise, and with the combined effect of his domain with Inessa's, his recovery rate was now several hundred points per second.
In just a few dozen breaths, your health will be fully restored.
But the raging torrent of world barriers continued to wash over his body, and his health bar fluctuated wildly, soaring and plummeting, constantly teetering on the brink of life and death.
Just as they were about to reach the bottom, a snake-tailed figure floated out from Inessa, scattering pinkish-purple light fragments that barely blocked part of the torrent for Hextech.
"Seriously, how could you just destroy the foundation like that?" Valeria said, resting her chin on her hand, full of helplessness.
"Fine, I'll lend you a hand for the sake of your love."
"Don't die—"
"I'm actually planning to write a novel based on you guys!"
A violent surge of energy caused the demon realm at the Gates of Hell to begin collapsing.
The blood moon has faded, the fog has dissipated, and this isolated world is returning to its original place.
Finally, as the hellish space completely collapsed, Hextech, holding Inessa tightly, could no longer hold on and slowly fell to the ground.
In his hazy state of consciousness, he finally saw the faint light of dawn gradually appearing on the horizon.
Did we make it out successfully?
The moment the thought crossed his mind, he completely lost consciousness and fell into a deep coma.
Meanwhile, parts of Manchester's Upper Town that had been swallowed by the Gates of Hell have returned to their original locations.
This area, which had once been a dark and forbidden zone, was now ravaged and there were very few survivors.
The surviving hellhounds sprang from the ruins, drawn by the scent of life, and surrounded Hex and Inessa. Their eyes turned red instantly, and they were about to pounce on them.
"Da da da—"
—
A hail of bullets rained down, instantly killing all the hellhounds.
A UFSAT special forces unit, led by Ada, swiftly entered the scene and quickly wiped out the remaining monsters.
Ada took Emily's hand and walked to the two lying on the ground, looking at Hex, who was huge and almost inhuman.
Even the well-informed Ada couldn't help but feel her eyelids twitching uncontrollably.
How did a strong man who was over two meters tall become a giant who was over six meters tall?
What exactly did he go through in such a short period of time?
Fortunately, we brought enough people, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to move him at all.
Emily's face was deathly pale. Just a short while ago, she clearly felt her life force closely connected to Hextech. When Hextech's health bar fluctuated wildly, she even cried as she wrote a will for her sister.
Only when the gates of hell collapsed and the swallowed streets returned to their original state did she truly sense Hextech's faint but still present soul aura.
"Looks like we arrived just in time." Ada looked at the two people who had fallen to the ground embracing each other, a strange smile playing on her lips.
Just then, a commotion arose from the distance. Ada turned around and saw the Crusaders approaching.
"The Crusaders are coming soon, we must evacuate as quickly as possible," Ada ordered.
"Thanks to you, Emily, otherwise we would have missed our chance."
Emily, still fearful of Ada, asked in a low voice, "Are you so sure Hextech will survive?"
"Of course," Ida said with certainty.
"Only the surviving Hextech operatives are worth the risk of returning here."
"Everyone evacuate immediately!"
Several tall UFSAT-enhanced soldiers used specially made long poles to hold Hextech in place and laboriously lifted him up.
"Executive, what should we do with this nun?" the UFSAT enhanced soldier asked in a low voice.
Ida waved her hand: "She is also a hero who saved Manchester."
"Don't worry about her, the church people will come and take her away."
After Ada finished speaking, she led her team to retreat quickly.
Just three minutes after the UFSAT team left, a large number of Crusaders arrived at the ruins.
Joanna, who was leading the search, had bloodshot eyes and an anxious expression as she frantically searched through the ruins.
Everywhere she looked, there were human remains and skeletons; not a single living person was in sight. Her heart sank to the bottom.
The gates of hell closed five hours ahead of schedule, something unprecedented in history. She had just been urging the people to evacuate when she saw a flash of red light in the sky, and the veil separating the upper city instantly disappeared.
While Joanna was overjoyed, she also felt a deep sense of worry.
She kept praying in her heart that nothing would happen to Inessa.
When she saw Inessa lying in the rubble, ragged but still breathing, she could no longer hold back her emotions. She rushed over and gently helped her up, "Sister!"
"Medical staff!! Come quick!!"
Two other nuns then stepped forward and placed their hands on Inessa, enveloping her in a holy, blessed light.
After a full three minutes, Inessa finally slowly opened her eyes.
The first thing she saw was Joanna's anxious and excited face, with reddened eyes.
"Sister, I'm so glad you're alright!" Joanna said anxiously and excitedly. "You've become a hero!"
"You saved Manchester!"
"Joanna, are we out?" Inessa struggled weakly to her feet.
What met her eyes was still a scene of devastation and ruins, but the intact streets in the distance and the faint morning light shining from the horizon made her instantly realize that they had succeeded.
It was Hextech that saved everyone.
"Hextech!" Inessa woke up with a start, looking around frantically.
"Where's Hextech? Have you seen Hextech?"
Joanna was taken aback: "I didn't see Mr. Hex."
"You're all alone here."
"Impossible!" Inessa exclaimed, her emotions instantly escalating.
"He saved us! He saved Manchester!"
"Valeria, where's Hextech!"
"Valeria!"
She screamed, but the demon had already returned to hell, and no one could answer her.
As more and more city guards and crusaders arrived, they couldn't help but cheer when they saw Inessa:
'
"It's a nun!"
"Sister Irene saved all of Manchester!"
"Inessa!!"
"Inessa!!"
Cheers and exclamations grew louder and louder.
But Inessa felt no honor whatsoever; she only found the sound too noisy and wanted to find Hex.
She looked around and then saw a clear, charred human-shaped mark on the ground beside her.
She suddenly remembered that when the Gates of Hell collapsed, Hextech had shielded her with his body, taking all the impact with his own.
Could it be that...?
Inessa's vision went black, and she collapsed weakly to the ground once again.
"Sister!" Joanna hurriedly helped her up, her expression becoming increasingly tense.
Inessa clenched her fists tightly, gritting her teeth, her eyes filled with grief and hatred, and weakly but fiercely uttered two words: "Demon!"
"I need you all."
"Pay the price!"
