Hell has invaded, but my Hextech is invincible!

Chapter 84 Taking revenge for "Brother" as an aside

Chapter 84 Taking Revenge for "Brother" (3/5)

Hextech took one last look at the desolate underwater city before struggling to swim towards the surface.

"Splash!"

He broke through the surface of the sea, breathing in large gulps of fresh air, and coughed a few times to expel the seawater that had entered his lungs.

The shore wasn't far away, and Hex immediately swam quickly toward it.

The ocean is not his main battlefield. He can handle ordinary monsters, but if he encounters a troublesome high-level demon, things will get complicated.

Once on the shore, Hex discovered that he was faced with a rugged and steep cliff, with straight and towering rock walls that looked as if they had been forcibly peeled off the ground.

This area must have originally been the outskirts of Liverpool.

He took two steps at a time and easily climbed up the steep cliff, where he found himself in a pristine jungle rarely visited by humans.

We walked along the jungle for more than half an hour before finding a dirt road covered with cinders.

"I should have brought a map," Hex muttered in frustration.

The plane was originally supposed to take him directly to the outskirts of Newcastle.

Now, however, the plane has crashed and everyone is dead. There is no one from the United Front to meet him. According to the intelligence Ada gave him, he must attend his "brother's" funeral today to complete the identity verification in front of all the relatives. If he misses it, the fake identity will be exposed.

But right now, he has no idea which direction Newcastle is.

"Could I get a ride?" Hex looked around helplessly.

Just then, the chaotic sound of horses' hooves suddenly came, and at the end of the road, a carriage was rushing towards him in a panic.

"Having a carriage is better than walking!"

Hex immediately raised his hand and waved, just about to ask for a ride, when a burst of bullets suddenly pierced the sky.

Behind the carriage, a group of savages dressed in rags, with disheveled hair and faces painted with strange patterns, were chasing after the carriage frantically, firing their guns incessantly.

The one-eyed, burly man driving the carriage caught sight of Hex by the roadside, his expression changed drastically, and he shouted, "Run!"

"There are savages behind you, get out of the way!"

Hex didn't move, but stood in the middle of the road. Before he could speak, the wild men noticed him, who was soaking wet, and without saying a word, they turned their guns and started firing at him wildly.

The bullets came flying in an instant, all hitting Hextech, but clang clang clang!

The bullets failed to penetrate his skin and were all deflected.

Although his armor is currently low, his nearly 200,000 health points and the inherent resilience of his body are enough to make him immune to small-caliber firearms.

Hextech was already having a lot of bad luck because of the demonic mark, and his plane even crashed. Now, his anger flared up all at once.

He stomped his foot on the ground and, to the horrified look of the one-eyed strongman, transformed into a black shadow carrying a gust of wind, charging straight toward the savages.

The screams lasted only two seconds before being completely drowned out by the sound of bones shattering.

The burly man hurriedly reined in his carriage and slowly turned around to look. He saw that the more than twenty savages who had just been chasing him, along with their horses, had all turned into a pile of minced meat and lay on the ground.

Hextech stood amidst the pile of corpses, wiping the blood and foam from his face, his expression full of impatience.

"Sir, thank you so much!" The one-eyed burly man swallowed hard and thanked him with a heart full of fear.

Hextech was utterly disappointed. He had deliberately given the savages two seconds to attack, just to test whether they could trigger Heart Steel, but there was no reaction at all.

It seems that the judgment of Heart Steel only applies to hellish monsters and has no effect on humans or savages. He knew this when he fought against the United Front's reinforced soldiers, but he still couldn't help feeling disappointed. After all, even savages corrupted by hell couldn't trigger it, so he wondered if it would work on heretics and cultists.

If none of those work, then we'll just have to keep eyeing that one sheep in hell.

Seeing the burly man speak to him, Hex looked up and asked, "Where is Newcastle?"

"Newcastle?" The burly man was taken aback for a moment when a young man dressed in clergy robes emerged from the carriage.

The boy quickly bowed to Hextech and thanked him, "Thank you, sir!"

"If it weren't for your help, we would surely be dead at the hands of these savages today!"

"This is God's will, that I may meet you here!"

"My lucky direction for today was definitely right!"

The boy kept rambling on and on, until Hex impatiently interrupted, "That's enough!"

"I don't want to hear any of that, I just want to know if you can take me to Newcastle."

"Yes! We were going to Newcastle anyway!" The boy nodded quickly, his expression darkening again.

"We were attacked by savages and became separated from the other clergy."

"I really don't know how they are doing."

"Maybe I won't be as lucky as you to have met."

"Get to the point." Hex's temples bulged with veins. Why was this guy so talkative?

"I'm a theology student at Newcastle Theological Seminary!" the boy said hastily.

"This time, a disaster has broken out in the village of Moremod, near Newcastle!"

"The entire village suffered a terrible fate, and a large group of werewolves were lurking around."

"Several seminary students who went to handle the situation have already died!"

"Moremod?" Hex felt the name sounded familiar.

This is the place where Karls Adriar, the brother in the identity Ada forged for him, died, and also the village where he, the "bastard," grew up!

"The monsters over there haven't been completely cleared out yet?" Hex asked.

"No!" the boy nodded quickly.

"The Hellgate incident recently broke out in Manchester."

"All the full clergy from nearby churches were mobilized to handle the aftermath."

Newcastle is severely understaffed.

"Therefore, only one Squire was sent to deal with the disaster in Moremod Village with a few seminary students."

"They sacrificed themselves, and now the exorcists want to take us to monitor them."

"Unexpectedly, we were attacked by wild tribesmen on the way and were scattered."

Hex raised an eyebrow; it turned out that he was the one who triggered the butterfly effect.

If he hadn't dealt with the Gates of Hell beforehand, the clergy from nearby cities would never have gathered in Manchester.

They will naturally send enough people to deal with the curse on Moremod village.

Karls Edria will not die as a result.

Now, however, he has to take on the identity of his younger brother and go to London in his place.

Is there really such a thing as cause and effect and destiny in this world?

Hex only hesitated for a moment before looking up and saying, "Let's not go to Newcastle yet."

"Change course, go to Moremod village."

"I'm going to see just how troublesome those werewolves are."

The boy looked bewildered: "You...you're relying on us?"

Hextech kicked the savage on the head: "To be precise, it was because of me."

"What are you going there for?" the boy asked, his face full of confusion.

Hextech smirked, his eyes turning cold: "To avenge my dead brother."
