The Bizarre Adventure of the Warhammer Guard
Chapter 84 Lord of the Fire Dragon
On the surface of Cordra, amidst the battlefield, the already volcanic landscape was a scene of utter devastation.
The sky was polluted to an orange-red by the smoke from the explosions and the thick smoke from the volcanic eruption, and the air was filled with the stench of sulfur, molten metal, and the burning corpses of orcs.
Orcs descended from the tracks in airdrop pods, leaving behind craters billowing black smoke on the ground.
Immediately, the orcs, brandishing their crude weapons and letting out deafening battle roars, crawled out of the pit and frantically pounced on the giant creature in the center of the battlefield.
That creature was none other than the Primarch, the great Lord of Fire Dragons, Vulcan Volkan.
The Primarch was nearly five meters tall. He did not wear his own power armor, but was almost completely naked. His muscles looked like they were cast from obsidian, and he only used some simple armor made of scrap metal to protect his vital parts.
He held the "Doomsday Tremor," a massive warhammer over two meters long, a new weapon of the Primarch.
To a typical Space Marine, this would be a two-handed warhammer, but next to the towering Primarch, it appears as a small and agile one-handed hammer.
The Primarch has been fighting the orcs on the Cordra for weeks, alone, facing tens of thousands of orcs every day.
But he did not back down, for he was Vulcan, the guardian of the empire, the embodiment of immortality, and he would never back down.
"Waaagh!"
The orcs charged once again, this time with dozens of "Killer Iron Cans" and several even larger "Death Dreadnoughts" mixed in with the green tide.
These towering mechs are all the masterpieces of the young mechanic. They are made by simply attaching iron blocks to the selected orcs and assembling them arbitrarily according to his own ideas.
Plastic, iron blocks, stones... whatever the orc technician boy had on hand, he installed into it in his mind, so each mech was unique.
Vulcan stared at the orcs charging towards him, his ruby-like eyes blazing with fury. He raised his warhammer, let out a battle roar, and charged back at the green tide.
"Bathed in the flames of war, forged on the anvil!"
The Doomsday Tremor swung its blade, its immense force shattering an orc's head into pieces.
Then, with undiminished power, it struck the ground directly, its immense force cracking the hard volcanic rock into fissures.
Then, an invisible shockwave emanated from the warhammer, blasting dozens of orcs around the Primarch away. The closest orcs were blasted to pieces by the shockwave.
Without pausing, the Primarch smashed an orc's head with a punch of his left hand, and swung his warhammer again with his right hand, annihilating another group of orcs.
However, the number of orcs was too great, seemingly endless. As soon as one row of orcs died, a new row would surround them, and in just a few breaths, hundreds more orcs would die.
Gradually, some wounds began to appear on the Primarch's body.
Although these ordinary orcs' weapons cannot leave wounds on the Primarch, as the intensity of the battle increases, the more times the orcs attack the same spot, the easier it is for the Primarch to be injured.
Standing atop a wrecked Death Dreadnought, Vulcan ripped off the massive power claw with his bare hands, raised it high above his head, and hurled it with all his might, instantly piercing through another Orc Death Dreadnought.
These orc mechs, each about six meters tall, were no match for even a single attack from the Primarch.
The entire battlefield was littered with orc corpses, but the orc offensive showed no signs of abating. Ignoring the casualties of their own, they poured artillery fire and bullets upon the Primarch.
Even the Primarch, after an almost endless war of attrition, had his seemingly immortal body covered in wounds. His movements were slightly slower than at his peak, and the trajectory of his warhammer was no longer impeccable.
At that moment, a tremendous tremor came from the ground, and two orc mechs, each over ten meters tall, appeared on the battlefield, one in front of the other, their target Vulcan.
These were the trump cards of this attack: the orcs' "Gao Ge Kong" and "Mao Ge Kong." Enveloped in a powerful Waaagh energy field, they continuously fired their weapons at Vulcan.
Fueled by the howls of countless orc lads shouting "Bigger! Fiercer! More Powerful!", Goggins launched a charge against the Primarch.
The Primarch also spotted the two enormous targets. Undeterred, he charged straight at the Gogo King Kong in front of him, knocking away any orcs that tried to block his advance.
The "Death Storm Super Rifle" in the hands of Brother Kong kept spinning and firing, trying to eliminate the Primarch with overwhelming firepower.
Amidst the smoke of battle, the Primarch emerged, his crude armor having fallen off, revealing his bare upper body, with blood clinging to his skin like lava.
The distance between them was less than fifty meters.
Primarch took two large steps forward and jumped directly onto an orc's killing iron can. Using the can's recoil, he leaped high into the air and swung the Doom Tremor with unparalleled force at Goggins.
"clang……"
A tremendous roar echoed across the entire battlefield as Vulcan's warhammer was desperately blocked by Gogo's claws.
Ripples appeared on the Waaagh force field on the surface of the Gogo Kong, and the ground beneath its feet instantly collapsed by a meter.
Seeing this, Mao Ge King Kong seized the opportunity to fire his "modified giant cannon," unleashing a powerful plasma energy ball that directly struck the Primarch's spine.
Vulcan fell to the ground, his skin on the back scorched red by the plasma, but at the same time, the Waaagh force field on the surface of Gogo Kong was also shattered by the plasma.
Despite the excruciating pain, Vulcan dodged the attack of Gogo's Claw and swung his warhammer, breaking Gogo's Claw in two. Immediately afterward, a deafening roar erupted from Gogo's megaphone.
Without waiting, the Primarch swung his warhammer again, and with just three heavy blows, precisely cracked the left track of Gogo Kong, leaving it helplessly stuck in place.
The Primarch pressed his advantage, leaping onto the Jaeger. The Doomsday Tremor swept through the air, leaving a terrifying trail of air before slamming into the cockpit of the Goggins, instantly killing the pilot inside.
Mao Ge's modified giant cannon was about to fire again when a buzzing sound of air being torn apart came from the sky.
Several blazing meteors tore through the orange-red clouds, their target clear: the core battlefield where Vulcan was located. The meteors moved at incredible speeds, leaving blinding trails in the air.
"What's that? A new meteorite?" An orc boy looked up, made a circle with his rough fingers, and placed it on one of his closed eyes. "The shape is wrong."
As soon as he finished speaking, the leading "meteor" suddenly reversed direction and emitted braking flames thousands of meters above the ground, causing its speed to decrease sharply.
Then, with a controlled descent speed, at a near-vertical angle, and with immense force, it precisely struck Mao Ge Jingang.
"boom!"
The Waaagh energy field of Mao Ge Kong shattered instantly, and the "meteor" pierced through its cockpit before landing smoothly on the ground.
