The Ultimate Fire Master of Avatar

Chapter 11 So-called Complaint

Chapter 11 So-called Complaint

That's right, Kahn was talking about the well-known "Journey to the West". Although he didn't remember all the original plot, he pieced together a modified version of "Journey to the West" from the original, TV series and various derivative novels.

Anyway, it's more than enough to tell Zu Kou and the others.

Not only was Zuko listening with great interest, but Azura had also perked up her ears at some point, looking completely absorbed in the conversation.

Zuko would always exclaim in surprise whenever he heard something exciting, while Azura, though pleased with it, would feign disdain and make sarcastic remarks.

Sometimes the two would argue, but it would end quickly because Kahn wouldn't stop and wait for them to finish arguing; instead, he would continue talking on his own.

Thus, with Kahn's storytelling voice as the main element, interspersed with Zuko's exclamations of surprise, Azura's laughter, and the occasional arguments between the two, the scene possesses a strangely vibrant harmony.

It seems like something strange has gotten mixed in?

Time slips away unnoticed.

When Ershu saw them again, she witnessed this strange scene—

Zukor, Azura, and Kahn were all in a sorry state but got along very well together. Azura and Zukor, who never got along, were also at peace. Kahn, who was sitting between the two and right next to Azura, was also fine without any problems.

Sure enough, this little boy

Looking at Kahn and Azura, Ershu smiled meaningfully.

As Ershu observed the three of them, Kahn also saw Ershu, so he stopped telling the story, stood up, and greeted her:

"Hello, Madam."

Zu Kou also came to his senses, saw Er Shu, and exclaimed in surprise, "Mother!"

Because the story was interrupted, Azura was a little annoyed. Instead of standing up, she sat on the ground and called out to Ershu in a perfunctory manner.

Ershu didn't pay any attention to it, and instead asked:

"What happened to you all? Why are you in this state?"

Zuko replied, "We just had a practice match."

"You guys were fighting?!"

Ershu subconsciously raised her voice.

She certainly knew what combat practice was, but she also knew the difference in fire manipulation skills between Zuko and Azura. Their combat practice was more like Azura using combat practice as an excuse to beat up Zuko.

Azura knew what Ershu was thinking, so she sneered:

"It was just me beating them up unilaterally. Grandpa couldn't even fight back. How can that be considered a fight? It should be said that I was bullying him."

"Why didn't I fight back?!"

Zu Kou retorted at the top of his lungs, selectively omitting the fact that he had been beaten up, and then explained:

"No, it was just a practice match! We each played one game and are resting now."

Kahn nodded in agreement.

"That's true. Zuko and Azura are both very interesting people, and we get along quite well."

Upon hearing this, Zuko and Azura both looked at him strangely.

They got along quite well?

That's ridiculous!

After looking the three of them over, Ershu's tone softened, and she smiled, "So that's how it is."

She walked up to Azura and pulled her up from the ground: "A girl shouldn't lie on the ground like that."

Ershu wasn't very strong, but Azura still managed to stand up using the momentum.

Then, to Azura's surprise, Ershu patted the dust off her clothes and said:

"I misunderstood you this time, and I apologize. I know you've always been a good girl, Azura, just a little lively. You did very well today, and I'm very happy."

Seemingly accustomed to Ershu's criticism, Azura was somewhat at a loss in the face of this sudden apology and praise. In the end, she turned her face away, snorted coldly, and said nothing.

But the faint upturn of her lips betrayed her; the smile was not the sinister one she had shown before, but rather the most innocent and pure smile.

Ultimately, Azura is still just a child.

After comforting Azura, Ershu said again:

"I hope you all have fun. But it's getting late, and Brother Airo's party is probably almost over. Zuko, you can take Kahn to the gate to wait for him."

"Is it already this time?"

Kahn exclaimed in surprise.

He looked up at the sky; it was cloudy today, and he couldn't see anything.

They had only practiced sparring with each other, then rested for a while, told stories for a bit—well, the storytelling might have taken a little longer—why were they leaving already?

I haven't learned fire control yet!

Kahn was reluctant to part with the fire manipulation technique he hadn't yet mastered, and Zuko was also reluctant, but still said:

"That's all for now, let's play together again next time."

"All right."

Kahn said regretfully.

There's no way around it; we can't just stay at their house and never leave, can we?

My fire control technique! I hate it!

After Kahn said goodbye to Ershu, Zuko led him to the main entrance they had come in through. Not long after, Airo arrived.

Seeing Kahn's disheveled appearance, so different from when he arrived, Airo didn't ask him the reason, but simply asked:

"How was your day?"

"Um,"

Kahn thought for a moment:

"Although there were some setbacks (referring to Azura) and regrets (referring to not having had time to learn fire control), overall it was not bad."

"Haha, really!"

Airo laughed:

"It is the regrets that give rise to expectations. Since there are regrets this time, let's make up for them next time we come."

"Of course."

Kahn nodded in agreement. He had promised to teach him fire control; he couldn't let this opportunity slip away.

-

After seeing Kahn off, Zuko hurriedly headed back. Uncle Elo came out, indicating that his father was also coming back.

"You're back so soon?"

A voice called out to Zuko from above; it was Azura who had climbed up the wall again.

She rested her chin on her hand, looked down at Zu Kou, and asked teasingly:

"Uncle, you slipped away so quickly? Didn't you run into Father?"

Zu Kou gave him a cold look: "This is none of your business!"

"hehe!"

Azura chuckled lightly, seemingly unconcerned, then casually brought up another topic:

"Speaking of which, doesn't Father dislike your friend quite a bit? Doesn't he know you secretly brought him to our house?"

"What do you think would happen if he found out?"

What will happen?

Zu Kou knew, of course, that just thinking about the expression on his father's face and the words he spoke made him feel breathless.

And at that very moment—

"What are you doing here?"

A majestic voice came from behind, instantly chilling Zu Kou's heart to the bone.

It was his father's voice.

"Father!"

Azura leaped down from the wall, walked past Zuko, gave him a meaningful look, and approached the middle-aged man with a grin, saying, "I have something to tell you. Zuko took advantage of your absence—"

"They challenged me, and I beat them so badly they were rolling on the ground, completely helpless! How about that, aren't I awesome?!"

"Hahaha, as expected of my daughter, the most talented fire master in the Fire Blaze Kingdom."

Their father, the second prince of the Fire Blaze Kingdom, praised Azura, then turned to look at the disheveled Zuko and said expressionlessly:

"Can't you even see your own level? How dare you challenge Azura? You have no talent whatsoever, you're overestimating yourself, you're a complete idiot!"

After cursing, he ignored Zu Kou's reaction and walked past him towards home.

Zuko stood there, his heart pounding, not because Aozai had scolded him, but because of Azura.

As Azura followed behind Aozai and passed Zuko, she whispered a smile in his ear:

"Hey, now you know what tattling means, right?"

Zuko then remembered what Kahn had said earlier.

Now he knows.
