Ground football: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him

In order to win Hathaway's friendship, Victoria specifically reminded Hathaway not to associate with Matthäus, as he was no good.

Hathaway later called Deng Kai, only to find out that he also knew about these things. The two of them complained a lot about this disrespectful old man.

Matthäus: You stole my Champions League title and then badmouthed me behind my back?

……

On May 20th, the penultimate round of the Portuguese U17 League Championship kicked off.

Deng Kai and Cristiano Ronaldo appeared at the Alcochete training ground to cheer on their former teammates.

Sporting Lisbon were once behind.

However, thanks to Wu Xudong's continuous breakthroughs on the right flank and the corner kick he created, the team's center-back Shao Jiawei headed the ball into the net, helping the team equalize the score.

Veloso led the field in interceptions and tackles, withstanding the opponent's most aggressive counter-attacks after losing possession.

In the final moments, Hao Junmin delivered a brilliant pass, and Yu Shihao pounced on the loose ball to score, giving Sporting Lisbon U17 a comeback victory and securing the Portuguese U17 league title with one round to spare.

Deng Kai and Cristiano Ronaldo also joined the post-match celebrations and participated in the championship photo while wearing their own jerseys.

His teammates urged Deng Kai to lift the trophy, but he refused, as he had left the team six months ago.

The team's achievements are the result of their own efforts; Deng Kai is not an absolute hero.

In a media interview, Deng Kai further clarified his views: "This team is excellent, and they deserve this championship trophy."

"Many people say that I am the biggest contributor to this championship trophy, but I strongly disagree. I only spent the regional tournament with this team. The North and South regional tournaments and the championship series were much more difficult and important than the regional tournaments."

"So I'm very grateful to the team for informing me and letting me watch today's game and stand on the podium. But I also know in my heart that this trophy belongs more to them."

"I am proud of everyone on this team. Wu Xudong, Yu Shihao, Hao Junmin, Shao Jiawei, Veloso, Duarte... every one of them will have a bright future."

The reporter expressed admiration for Deng Kai's strategic vision.

Meanwhile, everyone kept taking pictures of the "Portugal U17 League Best Player Trophy" in Deng Kai's hands!

That's right!

Despite playing only the first half of the season, Deng Kai won the most important individual award in the league.

Furthermore, if the second-highest scorer in the next round fails to complete a hat-trick and the second-highest assist provider fails to provide four consecutive assists, then Deng Kai will become the top scorer and top assist provider in the U17 league this season.

In the first half of the season, he scored a whopping 25 goals and provided 19 assists for the team, keeping pace with all the players who have played the entire season.

Following the awards ceremony, the Bora newspaper issued a scathing critique of Deng Kai's U17 Best Player award: "Deng Kai's statistics look impressive, but they were all achieved during the regional competitions. He never provided a single assist or scored a single goal in the U17 league's North and South regional competitions or the championship match! What makes him qualified for the Best Player award?"

This statement is quite alarmist, leading many people who didn't watch the game to agree that it's indeed wrong.

Record newspaper refuted Bora newspaper's claim without reservation: "The reason he didn't score or assist is because Dunkay simply wasn't involved in those matches. He transferred in the winter transfer window; if he had stayed in the U17 league, he would have scored over fifty goals and provided over forty assists!"

"Even if we take his statistics from the second half of the season, when the Portuguese second division schedule was many times more difficult, he still had 35 goals and 36 assists. Why doesn't he deserve the Player of the Year award?"

Bora newspaper: "I have never heard of someone winning the Player of the Year award after playing only half a season, especially only the first half of the season."

Record: "Really? What's your opinion on Sporting Lisbon U17's unanimous vote for Duncan as the team's best player at the end of the season? Don't the players themselves understand who's more important than a hater like you?"

"If Sporting Lisbon U17 had not won the title this season, there might have been some controversy about giving the league's best player award to Deng Kai. But because Sporting Lisbon U17 won the title, Deng Kai is completely deserving of the best player award."

Soon, players from Sporting Lisbon U17 team began to speak out.

Wu Xudong, a versatile player who can dominate the right flank: "Kai Ge should definitely be the MVP of the season. He helped us through the most difficult period, bringing us victories and something more important than victories... courage!"

Young midfielder Hao Junmin: "Deng Kai is our leader. After the winter transfer window, he would send us text messages before every game to encourage us. He never forgot us, even in the more challenging matches."

U17 Best Center-Back Shao Jiawei: "Our tactics this season were all developed by Coach Trigler and Coach Ke at the beginning of the season. Any success we've achieved is inseparable from them!"

Sporting Lisbon U17's second-highest scorer, Yu Shihao, said: "I remember before Kai's transfer, all the media were saying that his performance in the first half of the season alone was enough to win the league's best player award. Now the official statement is just fulfilling the media's demands. I don't know why Bora would raise such a pointless question."

U17 league tackle leader Veloso: "Isn't Bora's sales plummeting? I heard it's practically impossible to find them anywhere except in the toilets. Does this kind of media have the right to question Duncan, who's leading Moreirense to promotion?"

The newspaper Borra brought shame upon itself, being attacked by players and other Portuguese media.

But one person cherished the fact that he cut out a relevant viewpoint from a Bora newspaper and pasted it into his diary.

The Portuguese Madeira teenager, born in February 85 and who declined to be named, said that the newspaper Bora was right and that Duncan should not be the best player in the U17 league.

If players who have only played half of the games can be selected, then why can't players who have only played one game be selected?

Considering match efficiency, the player who only played one U17 league match had a much higher goal-scoring efficiency than Deng Kai. Therefore, the best player in the Portuguese U17 league this season should actually belong to the more efficient player... Cristiano Ronaldo!

Thump thump thump!

"Cristiano Ronaldo, he's gone back to Moreirense! What are you still dawdling in your room for?"

Deng Kai had a trick for the outside.

Cristiano Ronaldo quickly hid his most beloved diary and came out as if nothing had happened: "Thank you, Auntie, for keeping the room for me. We can come back after this season ends."

Deng Kai shook his head: "Cristiano Ronaldo, you're getting on in years, it's not really convenient for you to stay at my place anymore. I suggest you rent a place outside next season, somewhere better, you know what I mean?"

Cristiano Ronaldo felt a chill run down his spine. He swore he never imagined Deng Kai would say such a thing to him.

I like playing football on the ground: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him.
