Ground football: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him

Leicester City midfielder Yuri Tielemans, who frequently contributes spectacular goals, and former Barcelona and Croatian superstar Ivan Rakitic, both have shots in their early eighties.

Even among forwards, quite a few have a shooting accuracy score of around 80, right? Sterling, Werner?

British Super Shooting Skills!

Deng Kai's scoring ability has increased by almost leaps and bounds.

He felt it was time for him to start designing some specific tactics and training for scoring.

……

On October 27th, the fourth round of the Portuguese Cup kicked off.

Sporting Lisbon has joined the fray, drawing the Portuguese second division team Vizela.

The cries of agony echoed across the land.

This team had hopes of promotion to the top flight last season, but was ultimately defeated by Rio Ave and Moreirense in the final moments, failing to advance and remaining in the Portuguese Second Division.

Moreirense is the team led by Duncan and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Now that enemies have met, it's naturally quite a scene...

Nothing unusual happened.

The two are simply not on the same level anymore.

Triguera made significant rotations in this match.

This gave more opportunities to substitute players.

Left winger Kwame Ayew, center forward Ibrahimovic, and right winger João Pinto.

Substitute midfielder Barbosa got his first starting opportunity in the left attacking midfield position today.

The right attacking midfielder was supposed to be substituted, but Deng Kai coughed slightly and said, "Letting the substitutes come on is not only to find their form, but also to let the key players get used to them. If the midfield core is changed, then this game will be meaningless except for giving us a rest."

Maxi immediately chimed in: "We should give young players more training. For capable players, we should give them more responsibility. Kai is both young and capable; if he's willing, I hope he can play the entire season!"

In the end, Deng Kai still started.

The two defensive midfielders are Paulo Bento and Pepe.

Deschamps' previous injury was not just due to presbyopia; he also suffered a mild concussion and will need a period of rest before returning to the field.

It's estimated that it will take at least a month before I pass the test and participate in the competition.

Aside from this match, he is expected to miss several more games.

In terms of the defense, the two substitute center-backs, Marcos and Facundo, got the chance to start. Barzagli, being a homegrown player and with significantly higher potential, received more opportunities to be developed and started the game.

Fonte: I understand that Terry is on loan from Chelsea, but does that mean I'm also someone else's player?

Barzagli: Um, can't you see the words "significantly higher potential"?

The goalkeeper was also a substitute goalkeeper.

From any perspective, this team doesn't seem strong.

But actually, this Sporting Lisbon substitute squad is better than Moreirense's, who defeated Vizela last season.

Is Ibrahimovic not a dozen levels above Anderson?

Even if Pinto is old, he is still a Benfica legend, not someone Flavio can fool.

Bento is a fringe international player, not much better than Marseille.

Pepe is another story altogether; he's a world-class star, and Moreirense can't find a single player who comes close to that level.

Gillop and Alex are incredibly talented, and the gap between them and Barzagli is probably the smallest among these combinations. They should have no problem establishing themselves in the Portuguese league, but reaching world-class status is unlikely.

Therefore, the outcome of this match is self-evident.

In the fifth minute, Ibrahimovic drew a penalty with a brilliant shot in the box.

João Pinto scored to give his team the lead.

In the 36th minute, Pepe made a cross, and Deng Kai scored with a long-range shot from outside the penalty area.

In the 77th minute of the second half, Deng Kai chipped the ball with the outside of his foot, and Ibrahimovic received the ball, dribbled past a defender, turned, and fired a shot in one fluid motion.

Sporting Lisbon advanced to the fifth lap with a 3-0 victory.

October 31st, the eighth round of the Portuguese league.

Sporting Lisbon thrashed Aves.

November 8th, the ninth round of the Portuguese Super League.

Sporting Lisbon's form began to fluctuate, and after taking the lead, they were overtaken by Guimaraes, suffering their first defeat of the season.

Pepe's red card at the start of the second half was a key factor; his rashness put the team in a very passive position.

November 14th, the tenth round of the Portuguese Super League.

Sporting Lisbon, lacking a defensive midfielder, paired Paulo Bento with Lothar Matthäus.

The two players have somewhat similar styles, but Bento is essentially a bankrupt version of Matthäus, and there are many problems with their defensive transitions.

In the end, even with their own striker scoring four goals, they could only manage a draw against Ferreira.

In three games, Deng Kai scored two goals and provided one assist, which seems good, but his efficiency has slightly decreased compared to before.

Many people said that this is normal efficiency.

Furthermore, once the league enters the second half of the season, Deng Kai's efficiency will further decline, returning to its true normal value.

But actually... Deng Kai was just adjusting his cannon.

He now has the footwork and shooting skills; the only thing he lacks is power in his feet.

So his shots inside the penalty area are very strong, but his long-range shots are still lacking.

But midfielders get the most opportunities for long-range shots, don't they?

Deng Kai is also making adjustments to his tactics and his own abilities.

Quaresma scored three goals and provided an assist; his form is frighteningly good.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored two goals in three games, indicating a decline in form.

As Deng Kai's long-range shots increased significantly, Ronaldo's goal tally decreased in a positive correlation.

It goes without saying who the big boss is.

Unfortunately, after these few matches, Porto's star striker Jardel overtook Ronaldo to reclaim the top scorer title in the Portuguese league with 15 goals, showing red-hot form.

Viana contributed two assists, bringing his personal stats to two goals and five assists.

For a midfielder, this is quite good.

But compared to Deng Kai's five goals and nine assists, it seems to be a fraction of that?

This is because Viana's actual position on the pitch is much deeper than Duncan's; he is a true midfielder, while Duncan is the true attacking midfielder.

This story begins with Deng Kai's earlier attempt to persuade Viana to return to receive the ball.

It took Viana almost half a season to realize what was going on.

No wonder Deng Kai and Ronaldo have such a good relationship, but he doesn't play on the left wing, instead choosing the right wing.

The reason is that Ronaldo on the left wing lacks the ability to control the ball, dribble, and get past opponents when he can't accelerate, so he needs to drop back frequently in midfield to receive the ball.

Quaresma on the right wing can dribble the ball from the backfield to the front, allowing the attacking midfielder who partners with him to score goals.

The difference in statistics between Viana and Duncan is basically the same as the difference in assists between Ronaldo and Quaresma.

The latter had 10 goals and 6 assists.

The former scored thirteen goals and had zero assists.

You read that right.

The league has been played for ten rounds.

Left winger Cristiano Ronaldo still has zero assists!

He really is capable!

A typical forward needs to provide at least a few assists. Trying to avoid assists altogether is hardly easier than winning the assist title or top scorer title.

Without enduring bone-chilling cold, one truly cannot forge such a thick skin!

[PS: I'm feeling better today, no fever. My throat hurts, but as long as I'm not dizzy, I can write. But after writing for a while, I started feeling nauseous. I realized that any rapid eye movement triggers this dizziness and nausea. Does anyone know what's causing this? I'll try to resume normal updates tomorrow or the day after.]

I like playing football on the ground: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him.
