Ground football: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him

However, things soon took a turn for the better.

Because FIFA announced that Gandour will continue to officiate at the Korea-Japan Confederations Cup.

They completely disregarded Gandour's biased refereeing in the UEFA Cup.

It even seems that... they admire Gandour's talent.

Like a pillow for a sleepy man, Ximen Qing discovered Pan Jinlian... and they hit it off immediately!

Barcelona fans were overjoyed and wept, spreading the news: "See? FIFA really knows football! UEFA doesn't use Gandour, but FIFA does!"

Some Barcelona fans even said, "A referee as good as Gandour should not only officiate in the Confederations Cup, but also in the Korea-Japan World Cup!"

"Sports Lisbon's appeal is completely futile. That clown, Duncan, has been jumping around for so long, but he still hasn't been able to stop Gandour from rising higher and higher!"

In response, Deng Kai once again sent his blessings and tagged the Spanish team: "If one day you encounter a match officiated by Gandour, please remember that this was fought for by Barcelona fans for you."

The Spanish team's official account did not respond; they posted a question mark, indicating they didn't understand what Deng Kai was saying.

But Guardiola had concerns about this.

He was reminded of the European Championship last summer.

Could it be... that the Spanish team is really that unlucky?

Deng Kai did not elaborate on the questions raised about the Spanish team.

There are some things you won't believe no matter what I say, unless you've experienced them yourself.

You'll understand when you encounter it.

But often by the time you understand, it's too late.

……

European football is in turmoil, and this refereeing scandal has lasted for almost half a month.

After the dust settled on this incident, it was now May 8th.

Sporting Lisbon played four matches during their time there, including the Portuguese Cup semi-final.

They won all their victories and their momentum was unstoppable.

Especially in the Portuguese Cup semi-final, Sporting Lisbon eliminated their city rivals and one of the three giants of the Portuguese league, Benfica.

The latter has not been in good form this season and is currently ranked sixth in the Portuguese league, with little chance of improvement.

They won't even qualify for the UEFA Cup next season.

However, fans generally believe that the loss in the Portuguese Cup semi-final was due to the news that Benfica wanted to buy Simão, which affected the team's morale.

Fans therefore boycotted the team's purchase of Simão.

Barcelona's only reliable buyer withdrew its offer, forcing them to seriously consider the extremely low offers from Liverpool and Manchester United.

In the league, Porto also achieved a winning streak, taking the top spot in the standings by a single point over Sporting Lisbon.

Porto and Sporting Lisbon will next face off in the 33rd round of the league and the Portuguese Cup final!

These two matches will basically determine who wins the Portuguese league and the Portuguese Cup!

For a time, the Portuguese media focused their attention on Porto and Sporting Lisbon.

On the eve of the 33rd round of the Portuguese Primeira Liga, Porto's star player, Jardel, gave an interview.

He is very optimistic about the next two games.

Because his league goal tally has surpassed forty.

This is also the first time in his career that he has scored over 40 league goals in a single season!

He set a new record.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo, the young striker for Sporting Lisbon who had been relentlessly pressing Jardel in the league, currently has "only" 29 goals, ranking second in the Portuguese league's goal-scoring chart.

With only two league games left, it's impossible for Ronaldo to catch up with Jardel unless he averages five goals per game and Jardel doesn't score.

Similarly, Ronaldo's Portuguese league silver boot is also very secure, because the Portuguese league bronze boot has seven fewer goals than Ronaldo, making it almost impossible for them to catch up.

Jardel: "We've been in great form this season. We have an excellent midfield, and with constant support, I can beat any defense, even Inter Milan or Barcelona."

Clearly, Jardel's words were a direct reference to Sporting Lisbon's miracle run in European competitions this season.

They lost to Belgian powerhouse Anderlecht in the Champions League qualifiers this season, falling into the UEFA Cup.

Then, in the UEFA Cup quarter-finals, they unfortunately faced the powerful Premier League giants Liverpool and were eliminated.

Sporting Lisbon's opponent in the UEFA Cup final is Liverpool.

Therefore, to a certain extent, defeating Sporting Lisbon is equivalent to Porto avenging a Liverpool-level team.

To put it simply, it's about getting revenge on Liverpool.

Porto are determined to reclaim the league title! Sporting Lisbon should focus all their energy on the UEFA Cup!

Opportunities in European competition are even more precious; Sporting Lisbon mustn't squander them! They need to be willing to give up some things!

There's no real difference between first and second place in the league, and the Portuguese Cup is insignificant. What is Sporting Lisbon still hesitating about?

"If I were Trigár, I would avoid both matches against Porto and focus all my efforts on the UEFA Cup final!"

Major media outlets have offered suggestions to Sporting Lisbon.

Of course, some media outlets have other viewpoints.

For example, Jiang Yunzhu expressed her opinion in Record: "Porto lost to Liverpool in the UEFA Cup. If Sporting Lisbon cannot overcome Porto, they will lose three points before even starting their match against Liverpool!"

"The league title is Portugal's highest honor. Sporting Lisbon hasn't tasted the Portuguese league championship in nineteen years, and this time we absolutely cannot give up!"

"Focus on the league first, then decide whether to go all out in the Portuguese Cup based on the situation. Go Sporting Lisbon!"

This interview was widely shared by Sporting Lisbon fans, who expressed a greater desire for the league title than the UEFA Cup.

Despite being considered one of the three giants of the Portuguese league, the champions of the past nineteen years, apart from Boavista last year, have all been Porto and Benfica.

Sporting Lisbon fans have long been devastated.

How could they possibly give up this opportunity?

However, Deng Kai added a question mark after reposting Jiang Yunzhu's news article.

Many Portuguese media outlets praised Deng Kai, saying that finally a reasonable Sporting Lisbon player has stepped forward.

Porto Daily News gave Deng Kai high praise: "As an outstanding midfielder emerging from the Portuguese league this season, Deng Kai is absolutely brilliant. His questioning of Jiang Yunzhu shows that Sporting Lisbon has already made a decision."

"Sporting Sporting Lisbon are very likely to adopt a strategy of partial or even full rotation in both the league and Portuguese Cup finals. We support this adjustment in preparation for the UEFA Cup and wish Sporting Lisbon a great match against Liverpool, hoping they can bring the UEFA Cup back to Portugal!"

Porto are clearly satisfied with Sporting Lisbon's concession.

But Deng Kai quickly clarified his question, writing on his social media account: "Why decide whether to go all out in the Portuguese Cup based on the situation? Sporting Lisbon will not give up any trophy!"

"Next, it's time to witness yet another European treble winner being crowned!"

I like playing football on the ground: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him.
