Ground football: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him

But considering that Kai has already stated that he will do his best to win the Champions League, can we also call for the treble?

Losing is losing; it's not shameful to lose to Manchester United, Real Madrid, or Bayern Munich.

But if they win, that would be truly legendary.

In the history of football, no team has ever won the treble two years in a row, including both the minor treble and the cup treble.

Hmm, does that sound a bit unlucky?

In short, Sporting Lisbon seems to be constantly creating miracles!

Why not this year?

Yes, it's this season!

Four-pronged approach!

April 21st, the 32nd round of the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

Sporting Lisbon will host Setúbal.

This match had sparked some controversy before it even started.

Sporting Lisbon fielded almost an entirely reserve squad, except for goalkeeper Reina.

Furthermore, due to a lack of substitute players, they even borrowed a number of youth academy players to fill the gaps.

This is not incomprehensible.

After all, the Champions League semi-final between Sporting Lisbon and Manchester United will kick off in three days.

With a six-point advantage, Sporting Lisbon can afford to lose.

However, the Portuguese Super League Association may have objections.

Theoretically, under extreme circumstances, Sporting Lisbon could end their season rivalry with Porto and win the Portuguese league title directly!

If Benfica next door beats Porto.

In this round of the league, Benfica and Porto faced off for the third time this season.

Including the previous Portuguese Cup semi-final.

Benfica has always been the loser.

But... given the chance, the leaders of the Portuguese league will make a trip to the Alvalade Stadium with the championship trophy.

Isn't this just a case of the rich harming the people?

If Sporting Lisbon, with a completely reserve squad, loses to Setúbal, then everyone's trip this round will have been for nothing.

The same applies to the media.

Therefore, some people have used the media to criticize Sporting Lisbon for not taking the league seriously.

They have absolutely no sense of the bigger picture.

As a result, Sporting Lisbon now boasts the youngest squad in its history in terms of average age.

Although the team has veterans like João Pinto and Paulo Bento, the former being quite skilled, there is also a group of youth academy players whose registered ages are generally seventeen, eighteen, or nineteen.

João Moutinho, Yu Shihao, Shao Jiawei, Hao Junmin, Chen Tao, and others.

However, a bizarre scene unfolded.

In the third minute of the game, Hao Junmin delivered a long pass to assist Yu Shihao, who scored a one-on-one goal, giving the team the lead.

However, Setúbal scored in the 32nd minute of the first half and the 60th minute of the second half.

In the last minute of regulation time, Hao Junmin took a corner kick, Shao Jiawei's header hit the crossbar and Chen Tao finished with a sweeping shot.

Sporting Lisbon snatched a 2-2 draw against Setúbal.

Two minutes later, the final whistle blew.

At almost the same time, cheers also came from the adjacent stadium.

Benfica, whose title hopes are dashed this season, narrowly defeated Porto 4-3.

The Portuguese league champion has been crowned!

Sporting Lisbon successfully defended their Portuguese league title!

Portuguese league officials were relieved that they had come, even though they were reluctant to do so.

And here we are, right at the championship ceremony.

He can now appear on camera to give speeches and present awards to players again.

That's the status symbol.

Sporting Lisbon's star players, dressed in casual clothes, rushed onto the pitch from the stands to celebrate with their teammates.

Deng Kai even pushed Ronaldo aside and pulled Wu Xudong, Shao Jiawei, Yu Shihao, Chen Tao, and Hao Junmin together for a group photo.

Cristiano Ronaldo was very unhappy about this: "What do you mean? Why did you push me away?"

Deng Kai laughed: "It's nothing, just a group photo of the Chinese team. Please make way for our Portuguese friends."

Cristiano Ronaldo was speechless.

Thus, the photo with the highest proportion of Chinese participants was born on the European stage.

The reporter also interviewed the young Chinese players in this match.

Reporter: "Chen Tao, you scored a very important goal for Sporting Lisbon this season. What motivated you to score that goal?"

Chen Tao scratched his head: "Mainly, I don't want to add burden to Kai. If the league ends early, the team can fully focus on the Champions League semi-finals."

"As a member of Sporting Lisbon, although I am just a youth player, I hope to contribute to the team and share the burden with Kei."

Reporter: "When we searched for your information, we initially found Chen Tao from Shenyang Jinde Football Club. Are you brothers?"

Chen Tao: "No, no, no, we don't know each other. My name is very common in China. There are more than 100,000 people with this name in my area."

"Moreover, I mainly play as a defensive midfielder and center-back. Chen Tao, whom you mentioned, is an attacking midfielder and a player on the national youth team. In terms of status, he is better than me."

Reporter: "Yu Shih-hao, you scored your first goal of the day. How do you feel?"

Yu Shih-hao: "It's great. I hope my family can watch this match; they will definitely be happy."

Reporter: "Hao Junmin, your performance today is reminiscent of Ronaldinho."

Hao Junmin: "Thank you for your praise. There is still a big gap between me and Xiao Luo, but I hope to narrow that gap through hard work."

Reporter: "Shao Jiawei, your defense is excellent. Some fans think you should replace Fonte."

Shao Jiawei: "The group leader is actually quite capable, but he was distracted by some off-stage matters."

Reporter: "Group owner? Is that a nickname given to him by Chinese fans? Is it the group name for Zhuo Er Bu Qun (meaning outstanding and exceptional) or the group name for Yue Bu Qun (the head of Mount Hua)?"

Shao Jiawei: "It's the 'Deng Kai Global Fan Support Group'."

Reporter: "Wu Xudong, you and Deng Kai are both resting, which means you've entered Sporting Lisbon's main rotation squad. Congratulations! We look forward to your performance at the World Cup this summer."

Every single one of the Chinese players present changed their expressions.

Including Deng Kai.

Because... Wu Xudong cannot be called up by the Chinese team.

At least for now, there is no related information.

And in the future, there should be no similar rumors.

Jiang Yunzhu has very reliable sources of information.

Wu Xudong gave an awkward laugh: "Hopefully, but it's probably... rather slim."

In fact, with the season coming to a close.

Many national teams already have initial drafts.

Some have even released a roster of over fifty players, hoping to inspire some fringe players and generate some surprises.

Of course, some national teams will not announce their rosters too early in order not to affect the players' form in leagues, cup competitions, and European competitions.

In any case, there will definitely be some prior contact or private communication.

For example, Ronaldo.

The Brazilian national team had already spoken to him, begging him not to get injured.

As a result, Ronaldo toned down his game a bit in the league.

I like playing football on the ground: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him.
