Ground football: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him

Four players from Sporting Lisbon have been selected.

Of course, there are many hidden gems outside of this Champions League best XI list.

Sporting Lisbon's Kaká, Drogba, and Vidic.

Leverkusen's Ze Roberto and Ballack.

Rivaldo of Barcelona.

Giggs, Keane, and Scholes of Manchester United.

Arsenal's Vieira and Henry.

Juventus' Nedved, Trezeguet, and Thuram.

Ronaldo, Vieri, and Viana of Inter Milan.

But there are only so many spots available.

Ultimately, only a few can achieve their wishes.

……

Kicker: "Leverkusen's loss was not undeserved! Sporting Lisbon is an opponent that even Real Madrid couldn't beat!"

Bild: "Sporting Lisbon started the season with the corpse of Bayern Munich and ended it with the corpse of Real Madrid!"

The Times: "Eight titles in two years! Youth reigns supreme! Who can stop this Sporting Lisbon team?"

Sky Sports: "Cristiano Ronaldo: Golden Boot, Golden Boot, and more Golden Boot! Deng Kai: The best, the best, forever the best!"

Gazzetta dello Sport: "A true god has been born! A hat-trick in the final cements a legendary Champions League performance; Deng Kai's rise to prominence is inevitable!"

《罗马体育报》：「联赛+欧冠，邓凯33+30，c罗45+6，小罗19+15，卡卡15+22！」

France Football: "Hierro slams Florentino Pérez, accusing Real Madrid of becoming the next Inter Milan!"

Diario Sport: "Moratti angrily denounces Real Madrid as unworthy to be compared to Inter Milan. Inter has a league title, while Real Madrid only has the Copa del Rey this season!"

AS: "Now, it's time to consider Real Madrid's summer signings! Ferdinand, is there hope? Nesta, is it possible?"

Marca: "Mellenger has rejected all signings of midfield and attacking superstars this summer, except for Duncan and Ronaldo!"

A complete upheaval!

Sporting Lisbon's victory has thrown European football into complete chaos.

This is a storm that extends far beyond the football field.

Before the end of the season, all teams have a list of potential signings.

This list is relatively scientific.

but!

With Sporting Lisbon making such a bold move, any team hoping to gain fan support will have to revise its transfer list.

Make the names of Sporting Lisbon players appear above.

And they have to work crazy for these names.

These processes are often not very scientific.

But if you don't do this, the fans will definitely not buy it.

This is a typical chaotic era.

Let's not even talk about absolute core players like Deng Kai, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Ronaldinho.

Even players like Fonte, Evra, and Veloso, who are considered fringe players, have many teams lining up to buy them.

This fervor continued until the major national teams announced their 23-man rosters for the World Cup, finally coming to an end.

Because some of these names are the ones that everyone hopes for.

Some were...disappointing.

Mourinho was quick to criticize the Brazilian national team's squad: "The Brazilian coaching staff is a pile of crap! Deco is one of the best midfielders in Europe this year! Apart from Duncan, there's no one more outstanding than him this year!"

"He won the UEFA Cup! But he's not even eligible for Brazil's squad!"

"Ronaldinho and Kaká are definitely not better than Deco!"

"Without Deng Kai, Sporting Lisbon won't be able to beat Porto this year! I'm telling you!"

Yes, Ronaldinho and Kaká have been selected!

The Brazilian duo were lucky, but Maicon wasn't so fortunate. He was naturally left out of the squad, since he was just an important rotation player for Sporting Lisbon, not an absolute starter.

Even among internet celebrities, there are huge differences in popularity.

Springtime in Maicon is still some time away.

And Kaka and Ronaldinho's prime is almost here.

Besides them, the Brazilian team's roster also includes players such as Lucio, Carlos, Gilberto Silva, Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Cafu, Dida, Junior, Denilson, Ricardinho, and others.

Each and every one of them is an elite soldier.

It's not unfair that Deco wasn't selected.

Brazil has too many superstars and talents in the midfield and forward positions.

Didn't Leverkusen's absolute midfield maestro Ze Roberto also fail to make the cut?

Those who weren't selected may feel regretful, but none of those who were selected deserved it.

However, Deco himself expressed his disappointment in an interview: "It's a pity that I wasn't selected for the Brazilian national team. If I'm not even qualified for the UEFA Cup, I really don't know what to do."

"I see no hope!"

"I might seriously consider where I'm headed, especially regarding the national team."

Deco now regrets not accepting the Portuguese Football Federation's invitation.

However, he still decided to join the Portuguese national team after the World Cup.

Brazil hurt him deeply.

Both being key players for Porto, Deco was left out of the squad, and Mourinho stood up for him.

However, star striker Jardel was also left out of the squad, and Mourinho didn't say a word.

This enraged Jardel.

While criticizing the Brazilian national team, he also criticized Porto and the Portuguese league.

He officially announced that he will be transferring this summer, as he can no longer tolerate the drag he suffers from the terrible league!

He wants to go to a place where he can truly become a world-class superstar.

He wants to go to the best platform!

Similarly, the French team's roster is also highly controversial.

Lizarazu, Vieira, Djorkaeff, Blanc, Desailly, Thuram, Zidane, Deschamps, Henry, Anelka, Pires, Wiltord, Marcelo, Petit, Trezeguet... none of these are a problem.

The French team is strong and well-equipped.

Deschamps also made it onto the bench based on his seniority and the championship he won with Sporting Lisbon.

However, the inclusion of Barcelona center-back Cristanvar in the squad is quite puzzling.

This player's performance for Barcelona this season has been absolutely disastrous.

Barcelona bought him to counter Sporting Lisbon, led by Duncan, but... he didn't perform at all.

Moreover, his rough technique became a fatal flaw in Barcelona's defense, even more so than his lack of height.

Barcelona dropped Cristanvar from the squad for many crucial matches in the second half of the season.

The French team responded that they needed some backup center-backs.

They already have too many excellent players in the forward and midfield positions.

But the fans still weren't buying it, especially Sporting Lisbon fans.

They believe Drogba deserves to be selected.

They didn't care that Henry and Trezeguet were already the best answer for the French team's attack.

Drogba knew full well that against the French duo, even if he was selected, he would only be on the bench.

And these two guns are still very young; this situation may continue for a long time.

Coupled with his patriotism, Drogba announced the day after the French national team announced its roster that he would play for his home country, Ivory Coast.

Although Ivory Coast failed to qualify for this World Cup, Drogba is confident in leading them to the Africa Cup of Nations and the next World Cup!

I like playing football on the ground: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him.
