Ground football: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him

"What happened? Why did it suddenly stop working? I remember I definitely executed it last night!" Adriano muttered repeatedly. "That feel for receiving the ball, using a stop instead of adjusting, one touch, then turning and unleashing a powerful shot!"

"You could definitely do it!"

Adriano was devastated.

Could it be... an inspiration that can only awaken at night?

But you can't always play football late at night.

After all, matches are usually held in the afternoon or evening.

Fortunately, on this day, team leader Duncan generously comforted Adriano, showing great tolerance for his mistakes in controlling the ball and shooting.

Ade was extremely ashamed.

With the Premier League season about to start, he was more anxious than anyone else.

On August 17th, the English Premier League will begin as scheduled!

Manchester City will play away against Leeds United.

At Elland Road Stadium, approximately 40,000 fans attended the match.

The team's biggest star should be Robbie Keane, who previously fled from Inter Milan.

But Robbie Keane did well in his first year at Leeds United, leading them to fourth place in the Premier League.

He faltered the following year, but the team was already in a strong position and still held fifth place in the Premier League.

Robbie Keane has been relegated to the bench this year.

It's no wonder that a clash between such a strong Premier League team and a high-profile team like Manchester City would fill the stadium.

But the result of this match was somewhat unexpected.

Huang Jianxiang: "Oh dear, it's truly regrettable! Many people said Leeds United was on its last legs and destined to collapse this season, but this..."

"3-0! Leeds United have defeated Manchester City at home."

"Robbie Keane, who came off the bench, rediscovered his form and scored twice. This almost equaled his total goals from last season... He scored three goals last season."

"Manchester City's loss was somewhat unfair! Cech gifted them a huge goal, making a crucial mistake and giving them an open net!"

"Such amateurish performance makes it hard to believe he's the successor to the Czech national team's goalkeeper!"

"Lahm, who comes from Bayern's youth academy, is strong in attack but weak in defense. He frequently made runs forward but failed to create any threats. Instead, he conceded a goal and gave the opponent an excellent counter-attack opportunity."

"Thiago Silva's performance is as immature as his age. His lack of decisiveness at center-back is a big problem."

"Manchester City's third goal conceded was due to Thiago Silva's hesitation, which ultimately gifted the opponent a free kick in a very dangerous position. Sure enough, Robbie Keane scored his first free kick in three years!"

Zhan Jun nodded repeatedly from the side: "Yes, Manchester City actually had a few good chances in this game."

"Adriano miscontrolled Duncan's through ball to the opposing goalkeeper, missing a one-on-one opportunity! It's like he has a yellow card stuck in the instep of his foot."

"Ribery's shot after a lucky cut inside showed the style of an amateur player, but his shot towards the far corner went so far as to miss! It was ridiculously wide, almost like a corner! Wait, what's a corner?"

"The most reliable one was Baggio's curling shot after a cross from Deng Kai, but unfortunately the ball hit the post and bounced out."

Overall, the two sides were not far apart on the field, but Lady Luck favored Leeds United today.

Pooh!

He Wei looked at Zhan Jun, who was speaking eloquently on camera, with a face full of disdain.

You used to be a K-pop hater, just like me.

So now he's pretending to be a Kai fanboy just for work?

Listen to what you're saying... the difference isn't that big?

No wonder Robbie Keane was relegated to the bench.

His condition is really terrible!

With Manchester City's riddled defense, it would be a disservice to the team's formidable attacking force if their forwards didn't score five goals.

Is this really Owen from Ireland?

Oh, Kyrie Irving... well, that nickname is definitely fitting.

Irving: ? ? ?

……

The Times: "Manchester City's opening defeat: Duncan + a bunch of junk = junk!"

The Echo: "Leeds United thrashed Manchester City 3-0! Temporarily topping the Premier League table!"

Sky Sports: "Manchester City's attack and defense were completely disjointed, like a bunch of amateur players! After losing their first match, the team is second to last in the Premier League!"

Manchester Evening News: "Manchester United wins, Manchester City loses, Manchester United's victory is secure!"

BBC: "Adriano and Cech both received the lowest ratings of the match! One's ball control was comparable to the Chinese national team, and the other conceded goals three times in three shots on target!"

"Even with all his might, Baggio couldn't lead Manchester City! He'd be better off staying in Brescia!" (From the Italian sports newspaper *La Gazzetta dello Sport*)

Bora: "Manchester City's midfield is practically non-existent! Duncan follows in Mendieta's footsteps; is the Champions League's best midfielder destined to be a flop?"

Marca: "Hierro, ranked first in the team's ratings, is hardly smiling; Duncan and Baggio, ranked second, appear somewhat helpless!"

Manchester City's loss.

Most people are not surprised.

Many people had even set up their guns and cannons long ago.

There has never been a more favorable moment for them to produce results.

Maksa did not reprimand the players, but he canceled their vacations.

The day after the competition, everyone started training.

Of course, for veterans like Baggio, Hierro, and Lehmann, training was mainly about watching and resting.

On the one hand, they performed better and did not need to be punished.

On the other hand, players of their age need to have their workload reduced appropriately.

Adriano continues to train hard despite the defense of his teammates.

On August 21, the team held its final training session before the next match.

Adriano delivered an incredible performance.

The ball control was so smooth, a quick flick and a dribble, and the subsequent powerful shot was astonishing, as if Batistuta had possessed him!

Even Deng Kai said, "I'm so envious of this talent!"

Everyone is full of confidence for the next game.

He truly deserves to be the team's most valuable player.

You mastered it so quickly.

If Inter Milan didn't have a plethora of top strikers, Manchester City really wouldn't have had the chance to use such a high-caliber player!

August 24th, the second round of the Premier League matchday.

Manchester City are about to play their first home game of the season.

Manchester City fans made all the preparations well in advance.

Many Manchester United fans even made their way to Maine Road Stadium early.

As previously mentioned, the maximum capacity of Maine Road Stadium is 80,000.

The problem is that the stadium's facilities are too outdated.

It's at a level where I wouldn't feel bad even if it were torn down immediately.

There are only about 30,000 truly high-quality seats.

However... according to the reaction from the stadium, more than 60,000 fans bought tickets!

What does this mean?

In 2000, Manchester United expanded Old Trafford, increasing its capacity to 68,000, making it the largest stadium in England at the time!

Manchester United's home attendance is terrifying, consistently maintaining around 65,000 people.

This is one of the best home attendance rates in Europe.

But what level are Manchester United and Manchester City?

Manchester City's ticket sales are almost catching up with Manchester United's.

That's incredible!

This team was in the second division last year!

I like playing football on the ground: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him.
