Ground football: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him

Manchester City have signed Javier Mascherano from River Plate's youth team for €2 million; the player is likely to be Essien's backup!

Who is Mascherano? Ajax hoped to sign him three years ago, but the deal fell through because FIFA strictly prohibits players under the age of 18 from transferring between countries!

"Defensive elite! Active runner! If it weren't for his thick, bushy hair, he'd look just like Mark Lai Lai!"

Manchester City's midfield reinforcements, still primarily composed of young players, may not satisfy Duncan and the fans!

The main reason people are paying attention to these two deals is that they are joining Manchester City.

As for who Fabregas is and what Mascherano is like, the public doesn't care.

Until the end of this year's Toulon Tournament!

The Toulon Tournament concluded on June 21.

Portugal's U23 team defeated Italy's U23 team 5-1 to win the championship.

They won all their matches in this tournament and conceded only one goal in total.

It's not that their defense is so good, but that their offense is so strong that it leaves the opponent powerless to attack.

Deng Kai and Cristiano Ronaldo did not falter, nor were they used as stepping stones by other players.

The main problem is that our strength doesn't allow it.

Cristiano Ronaldo won the Golden Boot and was awarded the Silver Ball at the Toulon Tournament.

Deng Kai won the Toulon Tournament Golden Ball (Best Player), Top Assists, and Bronze Boot.

The two joined forces again after taking over the two Manchester clubs, and the result was quite satisfactory.

What's interesting is that several players have stood out in this year's Toulon Tournament.

Aside from Duncan and Cristiano Ronaldo, the best performers were actually Fabregas and Mascherano.

The former won the silver boot in the competition.

Some people even called Fabregas "the younger version of Deng Kai" because of this.

As a midfielder, Fabregas's goal-scoring ability is reminiscent of Deng Kai, who has been dominating the field this season.

Mascherano won the bronze ball award at the tournament.

Judging from this Toulon Tournament alone, Manchester City's signings have already been successful.

As mentioned before, the outstanding players in the Toulon Tournament are actually at the level to join the national team.

That's a very high level.

Therefore, in theory, there is no problem for Fabregas to join Barcelona's first team and for Mascherano to join River Plate's first team.

Their net worth could definitely not be just three million euros and two million euros.

It's more than doubled.

Manchester City's recent signings were absolutely perfectly timed.

I bought the property right before the housing prices skyrocketed.

It can be described as metaphysics.

……

However, since we're on the topic of player acquisitions, we have to talk about Chelsea this summer.

On June 17, Abramovich took over Chelsea for a record £550 million!

The world of football has officially entered the era of money-driven football!

This year remains a year of economic downturn.

Even the most prestigious deals didn't exceed 40 million euros.

But... this year has also laid the foundation for the overall landscape of world football in the future.

Chelsea's total spending this summer exceeded the combined spending of the other 19 Premier League teams!

The next team to be this extravagant will be Paris Saint-Germain.

But all of that happened fourteen years later in the summer.

Chelsea signed Argentine striker Hernán Crespo from Inter Milan for €26 million.

For 23 million euros, they took away defensive midfielder Marcelo from the invincible Galácticos Real Madrid.

They took Duff away from Blackburn for 24.5 million euros.

Manchester United have acquired the lost "White Wizard" Veron for €21.8 million.

Nineteen million euros were spent to acquire Mutu, the Viper, from Parma, the Milk Army.

Fourteen million five hundred thousand were taken from Charlton.

Bridge was taken from Southampton for €10.5 million.

They took Geremi from Real Madrid for ten million euros.

They brought Joe Cole away from West Ham United for 9.9 million euros.

Chelsea went on a rampage!

But Chelsea's reputation hasn't been good this summer.

Fans lashed out at them, calling them nouveau riche and accusing them of insulting football with money.

But they completely failed to see that this was clearly a case of the world of football, especially English football, extorting Abramovich.

For any Premier League player Chelsea wanted, the final transfer fee almost always doubled.

Chelsea had no choice but to swallow their pride and suffer in silence.

No one wanted a championship trophy more than Abramovich to punish these greedy Englishmen.

Punish these so-called European nobles.

With Chelsea's signings, they are also clearing out their existing players.

Some players, like Zola, did not want to stay at Chelsea.

Another group of players are not in Chelsea's plans, and staying at Chelsea wouldn't be very pleasant for them. This group mainly consists of veterans like Desailly.

As Chelsea's captain, Desailly is about to turn 35, and a decline in form is inevitable.

Earlier this year, in April, Desailly made his 104th appearance for the French national team, surpassing his former teammate Didier Deschamps.

In June, he helped the French team defend their Confederations Cup title.

But for Chelsea, Abramovich and his team envision the next season as one of "making a big splash".

But when it comes to truly having a chance to win the championship, it will probably have to wait until the season after next.

After all, Chelsea underwent a major overhaul this year, and it will take a whole season for them to get used to the players and tactics.

And what about Desailly, who has been in decent form this year? What about next year?

Let him continue playing this year. Next year, once the other positions are well-integrated, will we find a new player to integrate Desailly's position?

There's no need to look at it that way.

Desailly's agent and family urged him to go to the Qatar league to earn money.

But Desailly was somewhat unwilling to give up.

He knew that he would still be in good form at least next season.

It's such a waste to try and make money off of them.

And to my shame, Desailly has won the World Cup, the European Championship, and two Confederations Cups with the national team.

But at the club level, he has only won the European Super Cup, the Italian Super Cup, the FA Cup, and the Community Shield... He has never tasted the flavor of a major club championship trophy.

Especially the league championship, that's different for any player.

Cup champions, luck is king.

The league title—that's what truly means to dominate everyone else for a whole season!

……

That evening, Desailly's family came to persuade him again, hoping he would transfer to Qatari Rafa Sports Football Club.

And he told Desailly that Hierro had gone off to make money!

Desailly looked at the news.

Former Real Madrid legend and Manchester City defensive superstar Fernando Hierro has officially joined FC Kadaraiyan for a transfer fee of €3 million!

After playing for Manchester City for free for a year, Hierro gave Real Madrid a real slap in the face.

But he certainly can't continue playing for Manchester City for free.

Manchester City, on the other hand, cannot afford the salary offered by Lai Yang.

Ultimately, Manchester City and Hierro reached an agreement, and Hierro successfully transferred to Manchester City, entering the twilight of his career.

I like playing football on the ground: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him.
