Ground football: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him

Viana, Nuno Gomez, and Quaresma as substitutes have had little effect, prompting several players to express their dissatisfaction with grim expressions!

"Europe's number one fake powerhouse! Who's still a Portugal fanboy these days?"

Espanyol succeeded! It proves that without Duncan, the Portuguese team is a complete mess!

Was it fate? Did Deng Kai bring China's bad luck to Portugal?

In an instant, all sorts of news broke.

Portugal, who were previously the favorites, lost their first match.

Countless people have gathered on rooftops across Europe.

The key point is that even without Deng Kai, Portugal should have won.

To put it bluntly, almost any of the Portuguese midfielders or forwards could be the core of the team in Greece.

They actually lost?

Can't figure it out.

The whole of Europe couldn't understand it.

Mourinho, who had just led Porto to the Champions League title, was interviewed.

He and Maxi are currently the most popular head coaches.

Mourinho stated, "Trigera's tactics are incorrect. I have built a defensive system for the Portuguese national team. As long as he follows the tactics I used at Porto, Portugal will have no problem advancing from the group stage."

"I know Triguera wants to prove himself, but my tactics are the best. No one understands Portugal better than me, no one understands Deco better than me."

Many media outlets agree with Mourinho's views.

Based on the analysis of the first match, Portugal seemed to be focusing too much on attack.

They desperately wanted to score, and not just one goal.

They desperately wanted to declare to the world with a resounding victory that they were a championship-caliber team even without Deng Kai.

As a result, Greece launched two classic counterattacks.

Sky Sports: "Portugal's attack isn't as strong as people think. Rui Costa has good chemistry with Figo and Pauleta, but they can't quite get past Ronaldo."

"And his position overlaps with Deco's."

"This also created a vulnerability in their defensive system."

"Deco, as the team's central playmaker, has failed to deliver most of his forward passes, except for back passes. We're even starting to question how he managed to rack up twenty assists this season."

"Is it all thanks to Drogba?"

"Ronaldo is indeed sharp, but he plays too selfishly, which affects the rhythm of the team's midfield and attack."

"This new Manchester United king doesn't seem to have fully adapted to life with the national team yet."

"Triguera has his own understanding of how to utilize wingers. He assigned Valente and Ferreira many attacking tasks, but these two full-backs only did one thing at Porto: defend!"

"Faced with the Greeks' defense and fouls, the Portuguese were clearly flustered."

The results are pretty much what the media analysis has covered.

The Greeks defeated the Portuguese.

Without the help of full-backs, the world-changing tactics that Triguera and Duncan created simply could not be implemented.

At Sporting Lisbon, Triguera primarily plays as a three-man defense.

With the help of Deng Kai and the forwards, the two wingers or attacking midfielders took off directly.

But Mourinho did build a championship-caliber defensive system for Portugal.

The Champions League is crushing.

This forced Triguera to use Porto's four-defender formation.

But with Mourinho and Triguera combined, the result would be less than 1.

The team's forwards also cannot adapt to this style of play.

Cristiano Ronaldo's breakthroughs rely more on speed, and his counter-attacks are sharp, but he lacks the skills to break through dense defenses.

Figo is getting old. He has the ability to organize, but he is becoming less and less capable of breaking through defenses.

Quaresma is extremely skilled at technical breakthroughs, but after playing for Barcelona for so long, he never developed his core strength, which greatly reduced his effectiveness when faced with physical breakthroughs.

It is an undeniable fact that Rui Costa was relegated to the bench by Kaká at AC Milan, and his ability has declined from world-class.

Viana hasn't had much playing time, isn't familiar with his teammates, and comes with his own Milan system, so he doesn't have the same chemistry with his old teammates anymore.

Deco was used to looking up and seeing Drogba right in front of him, and he paid great attention to coordinating with the center forward.

On the one hand, it wasted world-class wingers like Ronaldo, Quaresma, and Figo.

On the other hand, neither Pauleta nor Nuno Gomez could play like Drogba.

Pauleta might be at his peak, but he's now in the twilight of his career.

Nuno Gomez has never been a target man striker.

He's more like a penalty area shooter.

It's fair to say that this lineup was never easy to gel together.

It is essential for Deng Kai to use his initiative and imagination to create an environment suitable for each player to perform well on the court.

The requirements for Deng Kai are very high.

Moreover, key player Deng Kai is not even here.

Deco, Viana, and Ruyin Costa clearly do not possess this ability at present.

Knowledgeable football fans should actually be worried for Portugal at this point.

Given their current situation, they might not even be able to win against Russia.

Playing against Spain is a sure loss!

Of course, the most exciting match of this round was Portugal's upset.

Secondly, there was the conflict between Totti, the "Wolf King," and Danish player Poulsen.

On the pitch, Totti spat at Poulsen and was shown a red card for it.

This drew criticism from all the media outlets.

Totti's personal image has been severely damaged.

It's worth noting that before this, Totti was practically the Beckham of Serie A.

He is handsome, strong, has a more agile and attractive playing style than Beckham, and possesses leadership qualities.

There had been rumors that Real Madrid planned to sign Totti after the European Championship.

The two sides have reportedly reached a cooperation agreement and are just waiting for the summer transfer window to open.

result……

This incident could potentially influence Real Madrid's decision.

At least, after failing to win any major trophies, Real Madrid can no longer withstand any more negative controversies.

What they need is to keep a very low profile.

We need to strengthen the defense according to the fans' wishes.

Otherwise, Florentino could be impeached by fans at any time.

June 16th.

Fans flocked to Lisbon.

Benfica's home stadium, Estádio da Luz, hosted Portugal's second group stage match.

Portugal vs. Russia.

Deng Kai was also present in the stands for this match.

The charges against him are still ongoing.

According to various rules, he is still unable to play for the Portuguese national team.

This is a very crucial match for the Portuguese team.

If Portugal loses again, they will likely have to say goodbye to the European Championship early.

fortunately.

Russia is indeed very weak.

Portugal secured a 2-0 victory with goals from Figo and Gilop.

Figo is still as sharp as ever.

Your grandpa is still your grandpa.

Unfortunately, Simão, who had played exceptionally well in the match, was forced to leave the game due to injury.

After the match, the Portuguese team regretfully announced that Simão would miss all of Portugal's remaining matches in this European Championship.

Simang shed tears at the press conference.

On the other side, the Greek team once again created a miracle.

I like playing football on the ground: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him.
