Chapter 38 Three Kingdoms

Deep within the chaos, the Nuwa Palace remains eternally tranquil, shrouded in pure energy, where the sacred path is peaceful and serene.

Lu Ya Daojun returned from the Jiuli battlefield and went straight into the main hall of Nuwa Palace to respectfully pay his respects to the Sage Nuwa.

"Lu Ya pays his respects to Your Majesty."

Nuwa sat gracefully on her cloud bed, looking down upon the world below: "You've returned!"

Lu Ya raised his head, his brows furrowed with worry, his tone heavy.

"Your Majesty, the Battle of Zhuolu has ended. This time, the Chan Sect and I intended to destroy Jiufeng, but we failed and lost the Witch-Slaying Sword... The Jiuli were not destroyed, Jiufeng is safe and sound, and Chiyou, Xingtian, and the other great witches are unharmed. The Jiuli and the Witch Clan were originally one, and now they control the southern border, their fortunes are at their peak, and they share the human world equally with the human race, with the northern sky and southern barrier as the boundary!"

"If this continues, the Wu Clan will recover its strength and, relying on the origin of the earth and the retreat route of the Netherworld, will surely grow into the overlord of the primordial world again within tens of thousands of years. On the other hand, our Demon Clan has been torn apart since the collapse of the ancient Heavenly Court. The old demon gods have scattered to the four seas, without a master, without land, without palace, and without leadership. The glorious foundation of the past has vanished into thin air, and even the rightful title of the Heavenly Court has been completely handed over to others."

At this point, Lu Ya's tone became increasingly urgent, and his words were earnest.

"If no one takes charge of the demon race and reorganizes the clan, the demon race will only gradually wither away, disappearing generation after generation in the long river of time, and completely vanishing from the primordial world! We beg Your Majesty to step forward, restart the demon race's traditions, and rebuild the demon race's foundation!"

Upon hearing this, Nuwa slowly rose and pondered for a long time.

Yes, this situation, just as Li Bai predicted, has indeed occurred.

Li Bai's judgment was based on the situation in the Three Realms, not on the prediction of fate.

Deducing destiny requires skill, while analyzing situations requires intelligence!

Li Bai's path was never based on fateful deduction, but rather on solid judgment of the overall situation based on his vision, perspective, weighing of pros and cons, and insight into the gains and losses of all parties.

It requires insight into the hearts of all parties, thus enabling one to traverse the three realms.

To predict destiny, one needs profound spiritual cultivation, cultivation level, and spiritual foundation. To predict the predetermined fate and glimpse the future trajectory of all beings, one must be able to draw upon heavenly secrets, connect with the laws of heaven, and even see the flow of destiny.

This is an ability that can only be achieved by cultivating to an extremely high level and possessing a powerful divine sense that resonates with the Heavenly Dao. It depends on the depth of one's realm, the foundation of the Holy Dao, and the comprehension of Heavenly Secrets. Without sufficient cultivation, one cannot even touch this level.

What has been deduced is a predetermined fate, an unchangeable trend, and an ending already destined.

This is the reasoning logic of a sage. Sages do not like to speculate about people's hearts; that is a minor approach.

From beginning to end, Li Bai never relied on his ability to glimpse the will of Heaven, but rather on his thorough understanding of the trump cards, weaknesses, demands, and constraints of all forces in the Three Realms.

Li Bai clearly knew that the sage was bound by an oath and dared not personally exterminate the witch clan. He also grasped the fact that the sage had just entered the period of sagehood, when his ambitions were not great and he was easily satisfied.

Knowing that the Great Witch of Jiuli was unmatched in combat power below the level of a Saint, knowing that the Saint had just taken control of the world and was still ambitious, and seeing through the weakness of the human race being unable to support itself alone, he put all the real conditions, the interests of all parties, and the shackles of rules together to sort out and weigh them, and followed the current situation step by step to push forward, and naturally the result could be obtained.

This is the difference between the deduction of the Way of Heaven and the deduction of the Way of Man; the deduction of the Way of Heaven does not take into account the gains and losses of people's hearts!

Humanistic deduction does not concern itself with the general trend of the heavens, but only with the weighing of advantages and disadvantages, gains and losses in human affairs. Human hearts are unpredictable. Once a corresponding event occurs in the external environment, a corresponding change in human hearts will naturally occur, and one can act in accordance with the trend.

Now that the trend of the Nine Li tribes being immortal has been established, the demon race must start to think about it!

After a moment, Nuwa slowly spoke.

"What you say is not wrong. I originally thought that with Xuanyuan ruling the world, the human race would inherit the great fortune of humanity, take control of the mainstream of the primordial world, and firmly occupy the position of the protagonist of heaven and earth. But now the situation has changed drastically. The Jiuli people and witches share the same origin, have abundant fortune and strong foundation, and now their fortune is even faintly surpassing that of the northern human race."

"The Wu tribe, relying on the Jiuli, has risen from the ashes, creating a stalemate between the two powerful forces in the north and south, leaving the human race struggling to hold on alone. If the demon race were to sink and perish, it would be detrimental to the balance of the primordial world and to the Nuwa Palace. This matter is of great importance and cannot be decided by me alone. I need to go to Shouyang Mountain to discuss it with my senior brothers Laozi and Yuanshi."

As soon as she finished speaking, auspicious clouds arose around Nuwa, breaking through the barrier of chaos. In an instant, she left the Chaos Nuwa Palace and arrived at Mount Shouyang in Taiqing.

Shouyang Mountain, Bajing Palace.

In the eternally silent chamber, Lao Tzu suddenly opened his eyes, the Daoist aura of Taiqing flowing around him, and calmly instructed his disciples.

"Xuan Du, Nuwa has arrived at Shouyang Mountain. Go outside the mountain to greet her."

Grand Master Xuandu bowed deeply and respectfully replied, "Disciple will obey Master's decree."

In a short while, Xuandu stepped out of the Eight Views Palace and stood outside the gate of Shouyang Mountain.

Above the heavens, seven-colored holy clouds slowly descended, and the saint's might swept across the four directions.

Xuan Du bowed deeply with a respectful expression.

"Xuandu pays homage to the Sage Nuwa. By order of my master, I await your arrival here."

Nuwa nodded slightly, her tone indifferent: "Lead the way and take me to see my senior brother Laozi."

"6

"Please, Sage, come with your disciple."

Xuandu led the way, heading straight into the depths of the Eight Views Palace.

The Eight Views Palace is serene and tranquil, illuminated by the palace lanterns, where the Yin and Yang energies flow gently.

A pure white cloud bed automatically rose from the void in the hall. Nuwa moved lightly and sat cross-legged, facing Laozi on the cloud bed opposite her. The two saints sat quietly facing each other.

Laozi spoke first, his voice booming like a bell, calm and even: "Junior Sister, instead of meditating in the Nuwa Palace, you've come to the Eight Trigrams Palace. What brings you here?"

Nuwa didn't beat around the bush and stated her purpose directly.

"Senior brother, the outcome of the Battle of Zhuolu has already exceeded the initial plan. The Jiuli tribe has not been destroyed, and the world is divided between humans and witches. The Jiuli tribe has a strong fortune, even surpassing the Xuanyuan human tribe in the north. If this continues, the witch tribe will surely rise again by taking advantage of the Jiuli tribe's opportunity to recuperate."

"The human race is now struggling to survive alone, the witch race is growing stronger, and only the demon race is completely declining. If the demon race is allowed to perish, the witch and human races will stand side by side in the prehistoric world, with no third force to check and balance the power, leading to an unbalanced situation and endless troubles in the future."

"The reason I came here is to discuss with my senior brother the possibility of restarting the demon race's lineage, re-establishing the demon race's power, and allowing the demon race to emerge in order to counterbalance the Southern Border Witch Clan."

Upon hearing this, Lao Tzu slowly furrowed his brow, pondered for a long time, and remained silent.

After a moment, Laozi slowly spoke: "When the Great Tribulation ended, our original intention was to support the human race, allowing them to inherit the destiny of heaven and earth and become the sole protagonist of the primordial world. Strictly speaking, the Jiuli also belong to a branch of the human race, sharing the same origin. This matter truly makes it difficult for me to make a choice."

Nuwa had already made up her mind before she arrived, and she analyzed the pros and cons one by one.

"Senior brother, you are mistaken. Although the Jiuli are nominally affiliated with the human race, their bloodline, lineage, and cultivation system are all biased towards the Wu race. The Jiuli's fortune is a closed loop, forming its own system. Not a single bit of it will fall into the hands of either you or me. It has long been outwardly aligned with the orthodox human race."

Lao Tzu nodded slightly, agreeing with this statement: "What my junior sister said is true."

The two understood this clearly: the Jiuli were also human, but they were a witch-human race, a group formed by intermarriage between the witch and human races, and they would not admit that they were created by Nuwa.

They will not recognize the Humanist religion, which is a group that belongs exclusively to the legal system of the Wu tribe, and they are more inclined to follow the Wu tribe.

Humanity is now divided into two groups. The human race with pure bloodlines is the one that inherits the teachings of humanity and the title of Nuwa as the Holy Mother, but they are too weak and are no match for the Jiuli tribe.

These beings, possessing both a primordial spirit and a powerful physique, are naturally superior to humans, forming a completely different civilization!

Indeed, the civilization of the Northern Humans will be completely different from that of the Jiuli. However, if the Jiuli become powerful, they will become the protagonists of the prehistoric world, and the fortunes of the Humans will decline completely.

Nuwa naturally understood this point, as anyone with a discerning eye could see. She needed to pose a threat to the Jiuli tribe!

Nuwa continued, "Can the northern human race alone contend with the rising power of the Jiuli witch tribe?"

Laozi gently shook his head, his tone straightforward: "Without the full support of the Chan Sect, relying solely on the human race's own resources, it will be swallowed up by the Jiuli sooner or later, and will simply be unable to maintain a long-term standoff."

Nuwa's gaze was firm as she stated her ultimate request.

"If that's the case, then we must reactivate the demon race. The ancient witches and demons were sworn enemies, naturally restraining each other. Now that you senior brothers have tacitly allowed the witch race to remain in the Southern Frontier, why insist on the complete annihilation of the demon race?"

"As the mother of humanity, I do not wish to see humanity face the heavy pressure of the witch clan alone. It would be better to take advantage of the situation and restart the demon clan, residing on the Sun Star, not vying for the orthodoxy of the Heavenly Court, not interfering with the order of the Three Realms, but only to use them to counterbalance the witch clan of the Southern Frontier. Humanity is the protagonist of the orthodox world, while the witch and demon clans take a backseat, as a reclusive great clan. A balance of power among the three is the most stable arrangement."

Lao Tzu pondered silently, weighing the pros and cons.

The key point is that the demon race controls the sun. As long as the demon race controls the sun, the survival of the Jiuli race will inevitably be restricted, thus creating a check on the Jiuli race. Otherwise, if the witch race controls the underworld, it will restrain the human race.

A moment later, Laozi raised his hand and activated the supreme sage's secret technique to send a message to the Jade Void Palace on Kunlun Mountain.

Yuanshi Tianzun, far away in Kunlun, received the message from Taiqing. In a short while, the sage descended on auspicious clouds across the nine heavens and went straight to the Bajing Palace.

Another cloud bed rose from the void, and Yuanshi sat cross-legged. Looking at Nuwa, he immediately understood: "Senior brother and junior sister, what brings you here?"

Nuwa recounted the entire situation in the southern border region, the division between the human and the Li people, the revival of the Wu tribe, and the perilous situation of the demon tribe.

Upon hearing this, Yuanshi frowned deeply, his expression becoming solemn.

"According to Junior Sister's suggestion, restarting the demon race to counterbalance the witch race? Wouldn't that just be repeating the ancient struggle between the witch and the demon? In the past, the war between the witch and the demon was a bloodbath, with countless lives lost and a great calamity sweeping across the primordial world. We finally ended the chaos; how can we repeat the same mistakes?"

Nuwa slowly shook her head, answering each question one by one.

"Senior Brother Yuanshi, how can this matter be compared to the ancient times? The situation is completely different now. In the future, the human race will be at the highest position in the world, holding the rightful authority of the Three Realms. The Wu and Yao races will both retreat to the background, becoming reclusive great clans, residing in the Southern Frontier and the Sun Star, keeping each other in check from afar."

"The Witch Clan has survived, bound by the Houtu Covenant, and we cannot exterminate them. Since the Witch Clan can live, why must the Demon Clan perish? Without the Demon Clan to restrain us, all the pressure on the human race in the future will fall on our shoulders, becoming a burden to the Chan Sect and all the sages."

A long silence fell over the Eight Views Palace.

Lao Tzu and Yuan Shi each weighed the pros and cons and deduced the general trend of all time.

Nuwa's words are all true. Currently, the prehistoric world is polarized and lacks a third party to check and balance it.

Forcibly suppressing and annihilating the demon race will only shift all the pressure on the future human race onto the great sage religion, resulting in more harm than good.

Moreover, the triangle is the most stable pattern. Although the concept of a triangle does not exist now, the established rules will not change.

Furthermore, the sage is indeed somewhat satisfied now. He does not yet have the ambition to devour the fortune of the world. The war between the Lich and the Demon was merely to annihilate the two races and rule the world, so he could catch his breath. Now he can be said to accept the current situation!

If you got a hundred million, you would definitely look down on someone who only has a million.

But if you haven't received a hundred million and are still in debt, seeing a million will naturally bring satisfaction. This is how people's hearts change!

After a long while, the two saints finally agreed, and the three parties reached a consensus, establishing a brand-new prehistoric order.

Finally, the three saints established the rules:

Lu Ya Daojun was appointed as the master of the Sun Palace, to be stationed on the Sun Star; Nuwa was given full authority to restart the Daoist lineage of the demon race.

The demon race gathered the remaining ancient demons and demon gods scattered throughout the primordial world. The demon race was forbidden from causing chaos in the three realms, invading the territory of the human race, or coveting the position of the Heavenly Emperor in the Heavenly Court. They could only reside on the Sun Star, restrain the Southern Border Witch Clan, and maintain the balance between heaven and earth.

Nuwa publicly agreed to all the constraints and conditions, and the matter was settled.

A moment later, Nuwa bid farewell to Laozi and Yuanshi, and rode the clouds back to the Chaos Nuwa Palace.

Lu Ya was still waiting in the hall. When he saw the sage return, he immediately stepped forward and bowed.

Nuwa slowly recounted the results of the three sages' discussion.

Upon hearing this, Lu Ya's eyes lit up instantly, his joy overflowing. He immediately knelt down and kowtowed, solemnly thanking her: "Thank you, Your Majesty, for granting my request! I will certainly keep my promise, guard the Sun Palace, keep the Witch Clan in check, protect the remaining bloodline of the Demon Clan, and never cause any trouble!"

Overjoyed, Lu Ya composed himself and said softly, "Your Majesty, when the ancient demon race's Heavenly Court was destroyed, it left behind a secret realm containing countless demon race inheritances, ancient demon artifacts, and primordial spiritual materials. However, the coordinates of this secret realm have long been lost, and I still do not know where it is hidden. If we can find this secret realm, the speed of the demon race's revival can be increased several times over."

Nuwa's expression was calm as she gently advised, "There's no need to rush this matter; rushing will only make things worse. Your priority right now is not to search for the ancient secret realm."

"From this day forward, you will take charge of the Sun Star and the Sun Palace. Travel to the vast and desolate lands to gather the remaining demon gods and major demon clans scattered throughout the world, integrate the races, and solidify the foundation of the demon race. Remember, restrain the demon race below you, and under no circumstances should they interfere with the Heavenly Court or engage in conflict with the human race. The demon race is now broken and its foundation is less than one-tenth intact; it is absolutely not qualified to compete for the rightful succession of the Heavenly Court."

Lu Ya's expression was solemn as he solemnly replied, "I will obey Your Majesty's teachings! I know my place. Currently, my cultivation is still inferior to Haotian and Yaochi, the elite of the demon race has been decimated, and my old troops are few and far between. I am simply incapable of supporting a new Heavenly Court. I only wish to revive the demon race's lineage, preserve the demon race's flame, and keep the witch race in check. I have absolutely no desire to covet the Heavenly Court!"

Nuwa nodded slightly: "It's good that you have this self-awareness."

"Go, enter the Sun Palace, seek out the scattered demon sages throughout the heavens, stabilize the foundation of the demon race first, and then proceed slowly."

Lu Ya bowed again, full of vigor, then turned and left, heading straight for the Sun Star.
