Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong

Chapter 171 Searching for Chapter Memories

Night fell quickly.

Lilith finally woke up.

She stared at the ceiling for a long time.

blinked.

My head is still spinning.

The impact of the seal shattering was so great that it felt as if her consciousness had been pulled out of her body, crushed, and then stuffed back in.

Hena sat on a chair by the bed, her legs crossed, the pink skirt draped down, covering her knees.

"woke up?"

"Um."

"How are you feeling?"

Lilith remained silent for a few moments.

"faint."

Lilith propped herself up, resting one hand on her forehead.

"What...what's wrong with me?"

"do not you remember?"

Lilith frowned.

"Remember what?"

"Everything that just happened?"

"I only remember..." she paused, "...it seems like in my memory, the gods sent down divine punishment, and torrential rain poured down from the sky..."

Hena's lips twitched.

"heavy rain?"

"Hmm." Lilith's voice was very serious, so serious that it didn't sound like she was joking. "The sea rushed down from the sky and submerged me completely. I floated in the water for a very, very long time. There was light in the water, golden light, so bright that I couldn't open my eyes. And then...and then I don't know anymore."

"Are you floating in the water?"

"Um."

"Falling from the sky?"

"right."

Lilith paused, as if considering her words.

"How should I put it? Anyway, it's just..."

"What's so special about it?"

"That's amazing."

Hena took a deep breath and explained.

"Lilith".

"Um."

"That wasn't divine punishment."

Lilith's gaze shifted from the ceiling to Hena's face. She stared at Hena's expression for a moment, then her brows slowly furrowed.

"If it's not divine punishment? Then what is it?"

"That is..."

Hena opened her mouth, then closed it again.

She hesitated.

It's not that I don't know how to say it, it's that I'm embarrassed to say it.

Having lived for four hundred years, what kind of scene haven't I seen?

But it's better not to say anything.

Even demons have pride.

Hena changed her way of expressing it.

"In short, it was Father Wayne who used magic to completely break the seal on you."

When Lilith heard the word "Wayne".

She was completely stunned.

Something seemed to be churning in her mind, like long-sealed files being unearthed from a corner and scattered all over the floor.

She remembered.

I remember everything.

A pale blue light. The sound of chains breaking. Something was surging out of my body, like magma trapped underground finding an outlet.

And those eyes.

Wayne's eyes.

I watched her from a distance of just inches.

At that moment, she felt as if she had been stripped naked, not physically, but spiritually.

Lilith took a deep breath.

Her fingers unconsciously tightened around the blanket.

"oh."

Her tone was perfunctory, as if she were just going through the motions.

"Oh? That's all?"

"Otherwise what?"

Hena looked at her.

Lilith looked away.

"You should be happy. The seal has been broken for four hundred years; aren't you excited?"

Lilith's lips twitched.

"Excited. Of course I'm excited."

Her tone and expression didn't match at all.

Hena stared at her for two breaths.

Then the corners of his mouth turned up slightly.

"Lilith".

"Um."

"Did something come to mind?"

Lilith's fingers paused for a moment.

"I don't."

"No?"

"no."

"Then why are you blushing?"

Lilith reached out and touched her face; it was indeed hot.

"The seal has just been broken, and my blood is rushing to my head." She pulled the blanket up, covering half her face. "It's a normal physiological reaction. You've been a demon for so many years, and you don't even understand this?"

Hena leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs in a different direction. The corners of her mouth were turned up, and her smile carried a certainty that said, "I've seen through everything."

"Okay. Whatever you say."

Lilith didn't say anything.

She pulled the blanket up even higher, covering most of her face, leaving only her eyes showing. Her bright green eyes blinked twice on the blanket, staring at the ceiling.

An eerie silence fell over the room.

After a while, there was a knock on the door.

"it's me."

Wayne's voice came in from outside the door.

Lilith gripped the blanket tightly.

Hena stood up from her chair, walked to the door, and opened it. Wayne stood outside the door holding a tray with a bowl of porridge, a dish of pickled vegetables, two pieces of black bread, and a glass of warm water.

"She's awake?"

"Um."

Wayne walked in, placed the tray on the bedside table, and looked down at Lilith. Lilith pulled the blanket up further, covering half her face, leaving only her eyes visible.

"How are you feeling?"

"good."

Are you feeling dizzy?

"A little."

"It's normal. Your body needs time to adjust after the seal is broken." Wayne pushed the bowl of porridge towards her. "Eat something to replenish your strength."

Lilith stared at the bowl of porridge but didn't touch it.

Wayne looked at her.

"What's wrong? Not to your liking?"

"no."

"Then why aren't you eating?"

Lilith remained silent for a few moments.

"You can go out now."

Wayne didn't move.

"What?"

"You can go out now," Lilith's voice came from behind the covers, muffled. "I can eat by myself."

Lilith remained silent for a few moments.

"Thanks."

The sound wasn't loud, muffled under the covers, as if it came from a very far place.

Wayne didn't press the matter.

"it is good."

He turned around to leave, but paused at the door.

"It's already night, and the church is about to close. Are you planning to stay here tonight?"

Hena glanced at Lilith.

Lilith didn't say anything.

Hena made the decision for her.

"Then let's stay for one night."

Wayne nodded.

"Then you can sleep in the second room on the east side."

"Understood."

Wayne is gone.

The door closed behind me.

The footsteps in the corridor gradually faded away.

Hena stood by the bed, looking down at Lilith.

Why didn't you say anything just now?

Lilith pulled the blanket off her face, revealing her entire face.

"What did you say?"

"You can say anything. Thank you, say goodbye, say goodnight, anything."

Lilith remained silent for a few moments.

"I don't know what to say."

Hena looked at her.

"When did you become so shy and hesitant?"

"I wasn't being coy."

"Then why are you blushing?"

"I told you, it's because my blood and qi are rushing upwards."

Hena didn't ask any further questions.

She went to the bedside and pulled Lilith up from the bed.

"Get up, let's sleep in another room. This is an examination room; the bed is hard and the pillow is low, it's not comfortable to sleep in."

Lilith didn't resist and was pulled away by her.

The second room on the east side.

Pushing open the door, you'll find a small bedroom inside.

This is Emma Ella's bedroom.

A double bed, a table, a chair, a wardrobe, and a portrait of a goddess hanging on the wall, with an oil lamp beneath it.

The oil lamp was lit.

"Are you really going to stay?" Lilith asked.

Hena sat cross-legged on the bed.

"I'm in a human body now. Am I supposed to just stay and wait to die? Don't forget that the Millennium Purple Sun will be here in six months. By then, those things in the abyss won't think I'm a demon. In their eyes, I'm just a piece of meat that can run. I don't want my new body to break down so easily."

Lilith remained silent for a few moments.

"Too."

"So, you're leaving the rest of the group to me?"

Hena turned her head to look at her.

"don't want."

Why?

"They're too weak." Lilith leaned against the headboard, her green eyes flickering in the lamplight. "In a sense, what I need to do is spread ideas, not imprison bodies. Those people are of no use to me."

Hena tilted her head to look at her.

"Spreading ideas?"

"Um."

"How exactly will it be broadcast?"

Lilith tapped her fingers twice on her knee, thought for a moment, and said, "Have you ever thought about why, even though the demons in the abyss have done so many evil things, humans still do what they always do? They have affairs, they frequent prostitutes, they betray each other. They've never stopped because of the existence of demons."

Hena didn't say anything.

Lilith continued.

"Because desires weren't created by the devil. The devil just gave them a push. Humans already had those desires within them; the devil simply made them think, 'It's okay to do this.'"

She paused.

"The Church of St. Hilde, which has sealed me away, has maintained strict vigilance for four hundred years, forbidding clergy from marrying, nuns from having contact with men, and anyone from discussing topics related to desire. What has been the result of such strict vigilance?"

Hena's lips curled up slightly.

"The result was that they did it secretly on their own."

Lilith gave Hena an appreciative look.

"That's right."

Hena said.

"If you don't want it, it seems I'll have to handle it myself..."
