Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong

Chapter 189 The Kingdom of Faith

One hour later.

Wayne poured the last auxiliary ingredient into the flask, and the pale blue liquid churned a few times inside.

Then he added some water element. The color of the potion in the bottle changed from cloudy to clear, and then from clear to a color between ice blue and silver white.

It became.

He preserved the medicinal properties of Frostmoon Grass perfectly, and the proportions of the auxiliary ingredients were just right, not a bit more or less. After Ella took this potion, the purity of her ice magic would increase by at least 30%.

At the end of the corridor, the door to Hena's room was open.

She stood in the doorway, her skirt just past her knees, revealing a glimpse of her slender calves. Her pink hair was messy, with a few stray hairs sticking up on top.

I saw Wayne come out of the potion room.

Her eyes widened slightly.

"Hey, human. I'm hungry."

Wayne walked up to her.

"Let Vera make you something to eat."

"oh."

Hena responded, but didn't move her feet.

Her lips twitched slightly.

"But, humans. I think..."

The unspoken part after the word "want" was left unsaid.

Her face turned red.

The panel popped up.

[Hena - Current Status]

[Status: Gradually losing her demonic memories. This isn't sudden; it's a slow process. Your water magic is healing her body while also washing away the imprints deep within her soul.]

[Note: Your water magic boosted Hena's demon rank. If Lilith knew, she'd probably be so angry she wouldn't even wear clothes; she doesn't realize she gave up a mountain of gold.]

[Note 2: She wants to experience your magic again, but she's too shy to say so. It seems that her personality has also undergone some subtle changes after she was placed in a different body.]

"Gurgle~~~"

The sound came from inside Hena's belly, and was exceptionally clear in the quiet corridor.

Wayne didn't say anything, turned and walked towards the kitchen. After taking two steps, he looked back and saw that she was still standing there.

"Aren't you hungry? Keep up."

Hena looked up and followed behind him.

In the kitchen, Vera was busy at the stove when she heard footsteps and turned around.

"grown ups?"

"Make her something to eat."

"Miss Vivian, what would you like to eat?"

Hena opened her mouth, then closed it again.

She didn't know what humans usually eat.

When she possessed Shurasha, she ate human food, but that was to sustain the host's life, not because she wanted to eat it. Now it's different; this body is her own, and she feels hungry, craves food, and has the desire to eat.

"Anything is fine."

Vera asked again:

"Noodles or rice? Sweet or savory?"

Hena thought for a moment.

"Sweet."

"Okay. I'll make you a bowl of sweet porridge and two brown sugar cakes. Please have a seat, it'll be ready soon."

Hena sat down at the table.

Vera was quick. The sweet porridge was still steaming when it was served, and the brown sugar cake was placed on a small plate next to it, cut into diamond shapes and sprinkled with a few sesame seeds.

Hena picked up a spoon, scooped up a mouthful of porridge, blew on it twice, and put it in her mouth. Her eyes lit up.

"tasty."

Vera stood by the stove and wiped her hands with her apron.

"Whatever you like to eat is fine."

Hena scooped up another spoonful.

Wayne sat down at the table and watched her eat.

"Have Lilith and the others left?"

Hena paused for a moment.

"They're gone. They left this morning."

"Which direction did they go?"

"Westward." Hena put down her spoon. "They're heading to Kant."

Wayne tapped his finger on the table.

Kant.

The most chaotic country in the Southern Continent.

There was no faith, no papacy, no king—to be precise, there was a king, but no one listened to him.

Various noble families carved out their own territories, fighting each other daily, with two families joining forces against a third. This fighting went on for over a century without any resolution.

"What are you going to Kant for?"

"Lilith said she wanted to retrieve something she'd left behind." Hena scooped up another spoonful of porridge. "She left some old things there. It's been hundreds of years; I wonder if they're still there."

Hena thought for a moment.

"She said she wanted to use that place as a base for redevelopment."

Wayne leaned back in his chair.

In terms of development, it is indeed a good place.

Although the people of Kant were fierce and the country was plagued by war, it would be much easier for Lilith to develop followers there than in a peaceful country.

Wayne watched as Hena finished the last bite of porridge.

"When is she planning to come back?"

Hena put down her spoon.

"I don't know. Maybe soon, maybe a long time. She said she'd write to me once she's settled over there."

Hena looked up at Wayne.

Why are you asking this?

"Just asking."

Hena's gaze swept over his face.

"You're not thinking about her, are you?"

Wayne did not answer the question.

He stood up.

"Eat your fill and rest well. Your body is too weak right now, you're not even at level one, you'll be out of breath after just a few steps outside."

Hena's face puffed up slightly.

"I'm not weak. I just... I just haven't gotten used to it yet."

Wayne didn't respond.

He turned around, walked to the kitchen doorway, and paused for a moment.

"Oh, right."

"Um?"

"The name you gave yourself, Vivian?"

Hena's ears turned red.

"W-What's wrong?"

"It's nothing." Wayne's lips twitched slightly. "It sounds quite nice."

he's gone.

Hena sat at the table, holding an empty bowl in both hands, the redness on her ears still lingering.

She lowered her head, looked at the porridge residue at the bottom of the bowl, scraped it off with a spoon, and put it in her mouth.

Sweet.

She suddenly realized that human food wasn't so bad after all. Vera peeked out from behind the stove and glanced at Hena.

"Miss Vivian, would you like another bowl?"

Hena looked up and hesitated for a moment.

"Another half bowl, please."

Vera smiled, took the bowl, and turned to serve the porridge.

The panel appeared in front of Wayne.

[The Land of Faith - Background Information]

Of the four kingdoms and seven courts of the Southern Continent, four have been destroyed, leaving three remaining. These are: the Wiggins Kingdom and the Wiggins Church; the Saint Hilde Kingdom and the Saint Hilde Papacy; and the Unityra Unityra Papacy.

[Kant is currently the only country in the Southern Continent without a Papacy. Five hundred years ago, during the Witch's Rebellion, Kant's religious leaders were all slaughtered, the Papacy collapsed, and the country split. The Papacy repeatedly attempted to re-spread the Holy Light to Kant, but each time the missionaries sent were either driven out or died inside. Over time, the Papacy abandoned Kant.]

[Note: Kant is the most chaotic place in the Southern Continent, but also the freest. Without the Papacy, there are no religious trials. Without a king, no one cares what you believe. People are busy fighting; they don't have time to care what you're doing in the mountains. As long as you don't provoke them, they won't bother you.]

Wien had something on his mind.

He had only seen Kant's passage in the appendix of the canon. A few hundred words, a thin page, sandwiched between the chapters of the seven major papal courts, like a patch.

The compilers of the canon clearly did not want believers to know too much about Kant, but they had to mention it because Kant was indeed part of the Southern Continent.
